I totally agree with you about Qatar Air and their problems. The check-in officers almost put my wife in labour when they said she can not board. They said their policy is a no fly without MEDIF from 29 weeks, I argued it out with them and told them I would sue, because on their website it says 36 weeks at most with a medical certificate and not both. It turns out that the guys at the airport (not Nigeria) were operating on an old policy document. After 1 hour of back and forth and contacting Doha Airport, she was allowed to board.

here is the policy for pregnant travel

Please what the best airline to fly to Sao Paulo from Nigeria

How do I get it right?
After uploading all the documents online and printing protocol page last week. If I try to login using my mail and password it will say there's no service with this mail. I checked status the first day it said 'sent' the next day it says 'sit'. I was not able to submit the protocol page because I can't login using my mail and password.
Yesterday I tried to check status. It says service not found. I went back to update the application. I uploaded the documents again but still unable to login using email and password.

Please I need urgent advice.
What should I do?

I think you should an email to stating the challenges you are having, send the mail around past 9am-11am in the morning that when they are mostly available to reply as soon as possible.

You can also try to open a new service and see what happens. It might be server issues.

Thank you to everybody that shared one or two cents on the group. I came to the topic and started reading from page 1 to 175 which was when I joined.

We applied for our visa March 8, submitted documents via DHL March 15, changed to under review April 3, my wife was invited for interview on April 15th, interview was scheduled for April 24th. Our visas was approved May 10th.

N.B Please always check the portal don't wait for email, till now I'm still yet to recieve an email.

We just got our passport from DHL, it was a stressful journey but were rewarded at the end.

We stated 14days in our application, to visit Rio De Janeiro, Salvador Bahia and Sao Paulo.

Thank you all, I pray those waiting for their visas will get good news soonest

Congrats bro, please I'd like for you to assist on how you started the whole process, my wife is pregnant and I'd like for her to give birth in Brazil. I just saw this thread and i don't know how to begin the application process

To everybody that wants to apply for a Brazil Visa this is the steps

Get all your documents ready(flight, hotel reservation, bank statement etc)

Create a profile on https://ec-lagos.itamaraty.gov.br/ after creating the profile you will see a manual form you have to print and fill manually, and other things you will need to submit on Brazil main website. The Visa fees and bank account will also be there.

Then visit https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/cidadao-nacionalidade you will need to translate to English, click on foreign citizen, then click on visa, fill the forms with the correct information and all. If you are applying for more than 1 person you have to fill the form for every body applying to get the visa, same at the lagos website too *when filling the form choose via courier to transmit your document to embassy*

After filling the form, and attaching your documents which include the manual form you filled and others specifically stated by the lagos ec, then go ahead and print the protocol page which has a space for passport and signature. Attach your passport picture and manually sign the page, then scan the page.

Sign in to your profile on https://ec-lagos.itamaraty.gov.br/ to upload your protocol page, proof of payment and international passport bio data page then click submit.

A mail will be sent to your email associated with the Ec lagos acct about your application being reviewed, at this stage you will have to mail your physical documents including your passport to the embassy in lagos(it will have to be a two way package delivery, you send to embassy then they send back to you)

After sending your documents to embassy visit https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/cidadao-nacionalidade then click on check status to see the status of your visa application

Wait Wait Wait.

Wish you success in your Visa Application

She was invited and they asked her about her what she know about São Paulo and previous travel history, why she didn’t include in the application and was asked to forward it which she did. Also I included my Schengen and other travel history. I never believed I could be denied. But it’s well

Omo so this thing now, no sure again oh.

Whenever I see this kind of post from the people who got opportunity to have huge followers, I fear the future of the country because influencers got huge Influence on upcoming youths.
The mind of most influencers are shallow.
Most of the countries you guys look up to did many horrible things in their early years ( watch the men who build America documentary).
Developing means transforming, and in this stage many things will happen.
You will see the impacts of the decision years later.

I pray we do see the impact, when public holders place their immediate family members in key government positions and award contracts to friends and family. The America you mentioned are not a Saint but the leaders are accountable. Look at what we have in Africa especially West Africa. We are divided by religion, ethnicity and politics. Everybody is corrupt and only want something for himself.

I totally support the coastal highway but why not maintain existing highway to international standards, make it safe for the populace.

I guess all government appointees want is "This is My Project" weather it good or bad, and nobody is checking anybody.

Former Aviation Minister Hadi embezzled tax payers money all in the name of Nigeria Air, where is the money today. Nobody corrected/checked him because he is friend of the president.

Emefiele did the same thing with the naira too, making Nigerians loose billions of Naira to currency change, now look at the naira.

See if you truly love Nigeria, you will see above your ethnic, religion and political party, but if you are poor and depend on the political party for daily food, then you be their puppet and you indirectly destroying a whole lot of generations life due to your stupidity.

Finally look at Libya, Libya was way ahead of UAE in terms of infrastructure and all, they have similar leader structure but now one is strong and the other is in Chaos.

You can come for me and call me all sort of names, but soon reality will set in, and by then you will be old and d1e a very painful death.

Monda April 15th: Initial visa application submitted (family of 3)
Monday April 22nd: Embassy sent an email requesting an updated document
Wednesday April 24th: Received interview email notification
Thursday April 25th: Interviewed. Additional bank account balance requested from Nigeria. I and my wife were granted visas.
Friday April 26th: Returned to get the visa for my daughter. (The minor travel authorization was not properly stamped by the notary public, initially)

I went for the interview alone. They wish to know about my research work, why I am going, where I am going, what I will be doing and about my family.
Advise: Have a bank balance that covers the cost of the air tickets and accommodation.
Embassy: North African Country

I was treated very courteously by the embassy staff.

Nigerians are normally given 3 months Visa, we got a full year of multiple entry.

Good day boss
Please I will like to ask were you a resident permit holder in North Africa Country ?
Did you submit Nigeria bank account or the country bank account?

good evening please. i want to submit my application soon. I'm applying along with my wife. does anyone have an idea of how much should be in my statement of account as proof of funds for both of us. like minimum

I guess it depends on how manys days you will be spending in brazil. I guess anywhere from 3m upwards, flight alone is over a million. So budget how much the trip will cost and have extra change in your acct.
If the trip will cost the family $3k have like $3,500 to $4k to show you can fully fund the trip

Ehn ehnn, Thank you so much for your reply. I am scared because all my male friends who had gotten their visas approved were not invited for physical interviews. I submitted my visit visa application on March 13. Submitted hard copied March 14. Invited for physical interview April 3rd.

Kindly note I used an invitation letter.

Don't be scared, as long as you are not pregnant, and you didn't use fake documents. Reach the embassy on the date, act calm, cool, collected and answer all their questions.
Thanks for the timeline update, I guess they are now working on a fast pace.

Good evening! I applied for a visit visa to brazil and I was invited for a physical interview which I am surprised about since they hardly do physical interview. Has anyone attended such an interview and had their visa approved?

I would greatly appreciate any tips on how to prepare for the interview. It is scheduled for next week ,9 of april and any tips and help would be appreciated. Also, I want to clarify that I am not pregnant or married.

Please when did you submit your application?
Please what the time frame from submission of hard copies to invitation for interview?

From past experiences on this thread, the interview is just to ask questions about your application, questions like where are you going to, date of travel, source of funds and most importantly to see if you are pregnant, as it is their norms to invite female visa applicants for physical interview

It's indeed cheaper to live in non big cities and non touristy places but you may not like it there. Most of the time, the people and the system there are not used to foreigners so you may find it difficult to integrate or get things done especially with the language barrier.

Personally, I feel the south is the best to live because of the exposure, development and opportunities. I don't know much about Rio but I can tell you about São Paulo in detail.

The city of São Paulo is located in the State of São Paulo and it's just one of the 645 cities in the state. Yes, the state alone is over a quarter of Nigeria's land size with a population of 45m. It's very possible to find and live in cheaper cities within the state of São Paulo. You can explore cities that are close to São Paulo city. It's not always a traveling distance, you might just be crossing a street to enter the next city.

There are also cities categorized as São Paulo interior, they are farther from main cities but they are cheaper, you may get bored there too depending on your personality. For example Campos do Jordão, it's a touristy interior city about 3 hrs drive from the city and very hilly, if you like nature, you may like it there.

You may stay in any of these cities and move to SP City later if you want, it's more feasible to move within a state than to move inter state. Brazil is too big that moving from North to South for example will be a big headache. There are places that will take you 3 days by road to get there, even Rio to São Paulo is 7 hrs by road

Another city you can check out is Curitiba in the state of Paraná. It's conducive and relatively cheap.

Rio and São Paulo are expensive especially with accommodation but food and transportation isn't a problem in SP. São Paulo is more developed than Rio but more crowded. São Paulo is the New York of Brazil. Rio is more of an older city with older buildings and lots of graffiti but the people are generally perceived to be nicer.

I hope I answered your questions.

I will also add, there is Florianopolis also known as floripa in the state of Santa Catarina. It is known as the holiday getaway state of Brazilians, with more chilled and relax environment. It is an Island with over 40 beaches.
Rent can be higher or lower depending on where you choose to stay, you can stay closer to the centro(downtown) that has a lot of malls, stalls, restaurants and all or you can choose to stay abit further from centro which will be pretty affordable.

Floripa has incredible modern infrastructure like a bus and train network that cut across the city

Floripa is like more developed Cross river state.
Brazil is the 5 largest country in the world, while Nigeria is at 32, so imagine how big it is.

There are also cities like Salvador, Brasilia and so on.
