If you are scared of fuel consumption you should stick to Corrola. Because if you escape fuel expenses with Mercedes, you won't escape maintenance costs, unlike Corrola, where fuel and maintenance costs are not that high. Also, consider secondhand value; from my experience, Japanese beats German here.

I drove a 2005 c230k once, I swore that day that, I would buy it. I have driven 2012+ Toyota and Honda cars, but, the Mercedes experience still stood out!!!

Toyota excels in reliability and value; that is, they are very versatile and easy to maintain. No shortage of mechanics, and very affordable parts. They command good second hand value more than Mercedes.

Mercedes-Benz, on the other hand, is often considered "better" in terms of performance, luxury, and driving experience. Although maintaining it is not easy. A former boss once ferried his 2012 C300 to Abuja because we couldn't find reliable mechanics and parts in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa state capital. As a resident of Yenagoa using a Mercedes, you can park your car for days, if you can't find the parts in PH.

When I used the Honda/Toyota Camry If I was above 80, It felt like the car was vibrating and wanted to skid into the bush. It was as if the road was dragging the car with me. I once ran into the bush with a Honda Accord on a 90. When speeding in a Japanese car, I'm always scared of flat tires because, at high speed, the car can summersault. I'm just not comfortable with anything above 80 on these Japanese brands

But when I switched to 08 C300, see me forming James Bond on the road. The car was very balanced, even if you have a flat tire. Mercedes is in a world of its own compared to Toyota. All in all Toyota is very reliable when it comes to maintenance. Mercedes put big hole for my pocket with maintenance.
