Politics / Re: Gej Now Deletes Opposing Facebook Comments On His Facebook Page. by Newscaster: 7:00pm On Mar 16, 2011
What is the sense here. Go back to the same Facebook and tell him or ask him. Why starting a thread because of that. and whats the big deal if your comment is deleted? Waste of bandwidth.

That you cant see the vision doesnt mean others out of 120m wont see it. and instead of clapping that Kanayo will be there, crying may do u better.

aisha2:

Thank you for bringing this up, this shows that i have nothing personal against Jonathan, infact i have supported and defended him as a person when it mattered. But as Nigerian i am not pleased with him as a leader. As a moderator i have not been unfair in moderating jonathan or his opponenets threads, but i am free and entitled to my oppinoins, comments and support. Deal with it, except you can accuse me of bais and prove it, am going to ignore this. Stop your sentiments, I WILL NOT SUPPORT JONATHAN IN THE 2011 ELECTIONS

Doesnt really matter.

Politics / Re: I Challenge Our President (goodluck) To Come Out Like A Man And Debate by Newscaster: 12:35pm On Mar 16, 2011
CyberG:

Jonathan is and will REMAIN a LAME DUCK CORRUPTION-INFESTED and SERVING President! Like Yar'adua like Goodluck! This guy takes $ 60+ B and spends over 50% of it in a year with nothing to show for it and some people want him to zero the account in another 1 year?

If Nigerians like, let them vote for a fool but may you never get a visa to run away to anywhere when you screw it up more! You will need to hold y our nose and live with it: get your education, health care, job and totally live there not running over here where we make sure that we vote for leaders who are above board and have real plans and solutions to our problems and will not fritter our money away and dodge debates!

Running over where. When majority are running back to the same Nigeria. Stay there and talk before thinking.
Politics / Re: Is This How Dame Jonathan Will Address A Gathering? by Newscaster: 12:29pm On Mar 16, 2011
CyberG:

I appreciate you guys commenting but do not just abuse her for the sake of it. If she were a private citizen, many of you and I would not care. However, she will "represent" you and I everywhere in the world. This is much the same thing Michelle Obama and wives of other presidents do and when it comes to her turn to give and address, speak or answer questions from reporters (local and foreign), she talks like this?

This is certainly not good enough and we should hold our "leaders" to higher standards in everything because their wives have a lot of influence on their points of view and how we are judged as Nigerians wherever they speak.

So, to prevent this, Nigeria should insert it into her constitution that, for anyone to qualify for the post of the Nigerian President, his must hold a Master degree in English Language, she must be slim and presentable like Victoria Beckham, she must be a fashion icon like Oluchi and she must be as tall as Goliath and speak better English than the Queen of England - anyone whose wife does not possess the above qualities does not qualify to run for the office of the President of Nigeria.

Is this so? and during the campaign, the wife must also speak to members of the public so she can be judged to be qualified or not, even though we know the post of the President's wife doesnt have a constitutional provision. So - take this to the national assembly sir. Nairaland is not the right place to say it.
Politics / Re: Candid Letter To Gej by Newscaster: 11:59pm On Mar 15, 2011
Looking at your name, I got cold shivers down my spine.

These 18 points are meant to remind the President or are things he is supposed to have fixed in 9months? I am just asking before you rain insults on me o.

I like to know, if you are in the Presidents shoes, how many of the 18 points you will tackle in 9-10 months and how you will go about doing these, mind you, in ten months, sir.

Politics / Re: A question for Aisha2 And Jarus. Is Nairaland an anti-Jonathan forum? by Newscaster: 10:23pm On Mar 15, 2011
The Jonathan biscuit picture is running into 8 pages. It even made it to the front page. Why is the condom annoying and not the biscuit. Oh. I can guess, one goes into the mouth and one goes over something. Thats why it is more annoying than the biscuit.
Politics / Re: Intelligent Thread: What Has Bakare Brought To The Bb Table? by Newscaster: 10:14pm On Mar 15, 2011
Wow. This is the most intelligent thread I have ever come across on the internet. See Einstein, Aristotle, Newton, Weber, Ritcher discussing intelligently. I am impressed.

You are all comenting when it is still just a rumour no body has confirmed it. Sometimes we do things with empthatizing? What if your are a public figure and people start these kinds of rumours about you. Rumours like these can ruin peoples lives and families.
If there is a link and it is verifiable, fine but i will be disappionted if this is just a rumour and you have pronouced him guilty.
Please one day we may all become leaders how will you feel if people say stuff like this about you. it hurts you know.
"

The same Aisha few weeks ago called the statement made by Pastor Adeboye dumb.

How people change.

Politics / Re: Jonathan Is Finished on the WEB . But He Seems Popular On The Ground by Newscaster: 3:46pm On Mar 15, 2011
Exactly what we have been saying all along. At best 2000 people make noise on Nairaland for BB/Ribadu. Do you think that holds water? When 80% of the 2000 are outside Nigeria and will not vote while the remaining 20% do not even have a voter's card.

bk.babe97y:

Because of people like you  I hope GEJ wins so your misery can continue. Have u ever been in a place where the electricity never went out, not even once, in 50 yrs? Where most crimes were solved? Where the Govt. was accountable to, and served, You? Where the Justice System worked? etc

I cant imagine how anyone would advocate living in Nigeria as you guys describe its current condition, to talk of hoping to have the same hopeless situation for at least another 4 yrs! Dude, go on Youtube and see how normal societies are run; YOU LIVE IN A JUNGLE AND SEEM TO BE HAPPY ABOUT IT!!! If I had to live in Nigeria, chaotic as you guys describe it, trust, I'd rather be dead.

A place where everyone requests a bribe before carrying out tasks which they are constitutionally inclined to? Cops, Doctors, everyone, all corrupt and you wanna vote GEJ in, why again?

Homie, instead of going of your own free will to mortgage your future and that of others, why dont you (on election day) just stay home and watch soccer or something (if theres electricity); or burn your voter's card now instead of dragging others with you on your journey of impending doom?

You obviously know nothing about Nigeria. So, voting Buhari/Ribadu will solve all the problems you have gleefully highlighted in probably 4 years? You are hallucinating for sure. Better not to talk than to attempt to talk and make no sense.
Nairaland / General / Re: Nairaland Is Finished. Sorry Seun. This Is The Truth. by Newscaster: 8:30pm On Mar 14, 2011
exactly what we are saying. what has the question about a new account got to do with the topic?
Nairaland / General / Nairaland Is Finished. Sorry Seun. This Is The Truth. by Newscaster: 8:26pm On Mar 14, 2011
Gone are the days of yore in Nairaland. Five years ago. With the likes of Bawomolo (RIP), Davidylan, etc. NairaLand was in the league of NigeriaVillageSquare and others. In fact many of these other fora sprang up because of Nairaland. Then you are sure when you log in, you will be challenged with the intellect and the very bright ideas and Nigerians on display.

But these days, Seun. What really happened? You allowed your baby to be taken over by the same people you earnestly warned against those years. Tribalism, insults, name calling that has nothing to do with topics now rule the entire Nairaland. In fact, the moderators these days make things worse. I remembered you asking people to chose moderators for major topics, that to me was the begining of the whole problem on Nairaland. Power play on a mere internet website. It is so appaling.

Seun. Try do something about this, the topics that makes the frnt page these days just drives you away because they are either falsehood, disgusting or just meaningless. Imagine a topic "Goodluck Shares Biscuits" making it to the front page of your Nairaland.
Tribalism now is the order of the day. Should these be? I know it may not be easy seeing to all these, but, it is our hope and prayer that you continue to wield out these elements who have nothing doing on the internet than to propagate hatred, ethnic sentiments and ego rabble rousing.
