@OYB About Jonathan kneeling before Pastor Adeboye. For the records, am Catholic, so no biases here. You see there is a difference between one being religious faithful and another being a religious fanatic. One respects the other's rights live freely with his beliefs, another insists you must live by his creed. I would want a Staunch muslim over a Christian, if he would respect the rights of others, but I would prefer an atheist and infidel to a Christian or Moslem that would not respect the right another has. Please, let us tolerate one another. |
@ Sochan My criticism of SR was more to do with its partisanship, tone and blatant condemnation of every programme as far as it is by government. Nobody is ignorant of the fact that we have a set of imbeciles occupying strategic places in the country, but then we shouldn't throw away our sense of reasoning on issues and should commend what needs to be commended while condemning what needs to be condemned. I condemn this handling of the voters registration because am trying to help while praying that they get it right. However, for SR they hope they never get it right so that they can continue to reap from public anger. Am being sincere here dear friend. |
@Ibro Yaya Thank You. You are a real defender of human rights. Obasanjo is not the most likeable person on earth, but must our sense of reasoning be beclouded. You were spot on. @ 1025 You are so full of anger just like Atiku at the National Convention. You have the right to be hateful of Obasanjo. Infact anytime you see him, you are at liberty to kill him, but please respect his right to life and even if you don't, he will keep laughing, the way things are going. As for his 'powers' in PDP as you called it, that power was there when his daughter, just lost her senatorial seat at the primary while Obasanjo is fighting to save her neck. Where was the power when she lost the primary, not the general electorate, but to the owners of the Party. Goodluck to you this year and may you continue to enjoy Fresh Air in the years to come, IJN. |
Fresh Air. Hm! The Power of the Mind Can Never Be Unraveled. For all who seek Fresh Air, we can only but wish you Goodluck in your desires. |
Please what is the source of this report? |
Our sources around Nigeria inform us that the major problems have to do with the following: - the attitude of some of the corps members - inefficiency of some of the corps members in the handling of the machines. - acquisition of good but low capacity equipment by INEC, especially the external memory devices - poor supervision of the entire exercise by INEC officials - lack of punctuality by registration officers |

@ EMMYK You are right. This Is Just A Forum Game. So Why Can't You See The Joke In Those Words. Wise Guy! or Is It Girl. |
We don't need to be like anyone. Let's just provide the basic needs of our people. What is so difficult about that. When our millionaires want to build their mighty castles in the village or anywhere else, you never hear that the project was abandoned. But when they need to build the Nigerian projects, abandonment becomes the order of the day. psssss! |
@ AKHENATEN You are spot on. Even the South Africa they spill about - what is so special. They heap the development of one hundred cities into only five giving them names like J'oburg, Cape Town, St Petersburg and few others, and then relish in pride while thousands of other locations are in squalor. Let us take take the Capital cities of only twenty States and throw their development funds into Lagos, Abuja, PH, Enugu, Kano and Kaduna and see the amazing skyline that they would have. CASE CLOSED , next topic please. |
Information we are receiving is that the machines are really working because many each center is recording some registration, only that it takes about two hours to register five persons in some locations at Asokoro, Abuja. They are technical issues, which shows that preparations for the registration was poor but INEC pretended it was ahead of schedule in preparations, just to sustain the confidence of the public. Nigerian leaders should learn that deception in whatever manner is bad for governance, and so it is with this exercise. If they had opened up about their deficiencies, this would have probably been addressed in time. Anyways we are hopeful that we still have time to correct whatever inadequacies. |
I just hope that the DDC machines are not too complicated and the training of corps members was adequate. It has just been learnt that some of them are complaining about the conditions in which they are registering people - under the sun without any shades and having to sit from 8AM to 5 PM. Maybe INEC thinks with the allowances they are paying them, such suffering is justified. They should please correct this. |
