Family / 5 Yrs Of Childlessness: Pregnant Woman Dies While Giving Birth by Newstrumpet4: 7:57pm On Jul 27, 2020
It was Henry Rollins who once said, "its sad when someone you know becomes someone you knew".

The above statement is the fate of one Ceejay who on his twitter page gave an account of how he lost his sister to cold hands of death during childbirth.

In his tweet, he revealed that on the night of her death, he "felt something wasn't right on that night, not knowing his sister was struggling for dear life."

He added further that the death of her sister has thought him some lessons about life which is: "Every death teaches me more about " detachment... There is nothing about this life. We live it just once and it's gone. We fight, brag and drag about so many things in this life when tomorrow is not even promised. We go to bed not knowing if we will wake up".

However, his nephew made it.

Below is the tweet:

Jokes Etc / Drinking Competition by Newstrumpet4: 9:56pm On Jul 26, 2020
Two villages decided to have a drinking competition. A week before the competition, village A sent Muza to village B to confirm if the competition will be held.
On arrival, the people from the village B brought 20 litres of their strongest brewed beer. Muza asked if he could taste and he was permitted to. Instead of just tasting, he finished the 20 litres at once, and said: "This is ok...where is the main drink?"
The king and the people of this village were all shocked because nobody had ever taken more than 5 litres of this beer and stood breathing! Then they asked him "Are you among the competitors?" Muza said, Me? Noooooo! I didn't qualify..."
Competition canceled. Lolz. #Copied!

Politics / Why I Left PDP For APC - Dogara by Newstrumpet4: 8:55pm On Jul 26, 2020
The former speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has given reason why he dumped Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his resignation letter addressed to Bogoro 'C' ward Chairman of the PDP, Mr. Dogara cited absence of good governance under the administration of Bauchi state government, Bala Mohammed whom he said he assisted to become a governor in the last governorship election.

The immediate past speaker noted that asking questions about these issues in his state could bring about the question of disloyalty if he was to remain with the party.
He was elected speaker on the platform of APC in 2015. Following the build-ups to 2019 general election, he defected to PDP alongside his loyal supporters. He won re-election as a lawmaker on the platform of PDP but could not contest for the speakership as PDP were the minority in the National Assembly.

The news of his defection to APC was received with cheers from President Buhari.

According to the head of APC's interim management, Mala Buni, Mr. Buhari was pleased with the defection.

His statement reads:

“He (Buhari) welcomed him. He’s happy with the development. That’s what he’s looking for. We are rebuilding the party and these are the steps we are taking towards rebuilding the party,” the APC head said.
