Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike a.k.a Evans Notorious kidnapper has asked the Nigeria High Court in Lagos to set him Free and strike off his two separate charges which were placed on him by the Lagos State Government.

The Lagos State Government had brought a fresh five-count charge bordering on conspiracy to kidnap, kidnapping and attempted murder against Evans and three others.

Evans is charged alongside Joseph Emeka, Ugochukwu Nwachukwu and Victor Aduba.

In the second charge, Evans is being tried alongside Joseph Emeka, Linus Okpara and Victor Aduba.

At the resumed hearing of the case on Wednesday, Counsel to the first defendant, Mr Olukoya Ogungbeje informed the court that he had filed a motion on notice to quash all the charge filed against the first defendant (Evans).

In the motion on notice, Ogungbeje said that ‎all the charges and the proof of evidence before the court did not establish any prima facie case against the first defendant.

He also said that all the charges were “grossly defective, incompetent and constituted an abuse of court processes”.

He stated that the prosecution had earlier filed similar charges and amended charges bordering on kidnapping against the same first defendant pending before the same High Court of Lagos State.

He averred that the two separate charges were brought in bad faith to “harass, oppress, hound, frustrate, vex and intimidate the first defendant.”

“It will be in the interest of justice if all the two separate charges are quashed and the defendant is accordingly discharged.”

A lady has shared on her timeline a testimony which was shared in her church "The Lord's Chosen" by a member.

She said in church last Sunday, a lady stood up to share her testimony just as so many other people have shared theirs.  She said that she bought a Lord's Chosen Sticker about 3 years ago and ended up pasting the sticker on her gas cylinder and has not refilled the gas cylinder for the past 3 years which had the sticker on.

A lady who was almost at the peak of her labour ended up not making it into the Labour room before she gave birth. She was said to have given birth to her bouncing baby boy Maxwell right on the halls of the hospital few minutes after she went into labour.

In my own opinion, this is a waste of time in Nigeria. If you have a criminal record it will be extremely difficult to use the result for a meaningful employment. It will have been better if they learn trade, business or skill.

You are right but certificate matters alot. They just get the certificate and go forward to meet up with the needs of learning trade. Learning trade and using certificate as backup will be nice. bet me its a nice idea.

On Monday, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Governor of Ekiti State told the former minister of works, Prince Dayo Adeyeye and other ex-ministers who wish to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) to fell Free and Join the Party.
