Guys look it a privilege for you to know how your offering and tithe are been spent, it is not your right. So when you give, or someone gives to God, the way churches or pastors will use the money is no one's business. |

The prison inmates were ordered to be released after Governor Akinwunmi Ambode signed their prerogative of mercy - The team from the Lagos state government advised the released inmates to change their ways as they join their families The Lagos state Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy has ordered the Nigerian Prisons Service to immediately release of 18 inmates serving life sentences at the Kirikiri Maximum Prison. NAIJ.com learnt that the 18 inmates included 15 male and 3 females serving life sentences for various offences and had spent more than 30 years in incarceration. The order was handed over to the prison service through the state’s Controller of Prisons, Mr Olatunbosun Ladipo. A statement by the state government and made available to NAIJ.com said the inmates were ordered to be released having been found to have fulfilled the very stringent conditions for their freedom. Speaking at the small handing over ceremony held at the hall of the Kirikiri Maximum Prison, the chairman of the council, Prof Oyelowo Oyewo, commended the benevolence of the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in assenting to exercise the prerogative in favour of the recommended inmates. Professor Oyewo, who was represented by Mrs Bolatunmi Animashaun, advised the pardoned inmates to turn a new leaf when they are reunited with their families and into the larger society. He further warned the inmates to steer clear of every temptation that could make them a repeat offender and jeopardize the once in a lifetime opportunity. Commenting further, the state’s Attorney-General and commissioner for Justice, Mr Adeniji Kazeem, encouraged other inmates still serving in the prison to be of good behaviour and exhibit conducts that could qualify them to benefit from such order. Kazeem, who was represented by director of legislative drafting in the state’s ministry of Justice, Mrs Yejide Kolawole, advised the inmates to improve themselves. He further revealed that the application of other inmates eligible for state pardon were still under consideration

A report published by the NBS reveals millions of jobs have been lost under the watch of the All Progressives Congress chieftain, President Muhammadu Buhari. Approximately 5.5 million Nigerians have become unemployed in the past two years of the current administration, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics has revealed. According to the latest unemployment report released by NBS, 351,015 Nigerians became unemployed in the last quarter of 2016, bringing the total number of unemployed and underemployed persons to 28.58 million. That figured increased in the third quarter of 2016 to 5,134,913 as unemployment rate spiked to 13.9 percent. But according to the latest NBS report, “In Q4 2016, the labour force population (i.e. those within the working age population willing, able and actively looking for work) increased to 81.15 million from 80.67 million in Q3 2016,representing an increase of 0.6% in the labour force during the quarter”. “This means about 482,689 persons from the economically active population entered the labour force during the quarter. “During the reference period, the number of unemployed in the labour force, increased by 351,015persons, resulting in an increase in the national unemployment rate to 14.2% in Q4 2016, slightly up from 13.9% in Q3,13.3% in Q2, 12.1% in Q1 2016,and 10.4% in Q4 2015. The Buhari administration promised to create millions of job in 2016, but NBS figures show that the jobs created could not match the fresh entrants of the labour market. It is worthy of note that 27.44 million persons within the economically active or working age population decided not to work for one reason or the other in Q4 2016. There were a total of 28.58 million persons in the Nigerian labour force in Q4 2016, that were either unemployed or underemployed compared to compared to 27.12million in Q3, 26.06million in Q2 and 24.5 million in Q1 2016. |
It’s kinda funny the replies some Nigerian celebs usually have for their followers who ask them for help online – a fan of Nollywood actor, Mike Godson, who has been asking for help for over one month reminded him of the money, saying God will make another way if he doesn’t help and the actor replied. He gave the follower a rare referral to singer, Davido, who he says he should ask for help from cause he has N30 billion in his account Some Nigerians and their weird sense of entitlement, see how the follower is asking for money like it’s his right… hmph!

The Seven Deadly Sins Pride quality or state of being proud – inordinate self esteem: “Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall” (Proverbs 16:18). Envy painful or resentful awareness of an advantage enjoyed by another joined with a desire to possess the same advantage: “Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation” (1 Peter 2:1-2). Wrath strong vengeful anger or indignation: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1) Wrath strong vengeful anger or indignation: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger” (Proverbs 15:1) Laziness disinclined to activity or exertion: not energetic or vigorous: “The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway” (Proverbs 15:19). Greed excessive or reprehensible acquisitiveness: “Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more” (Ephesians 4:19). Gluttony excess in eating and drinking: “for drunkards and gluttons become poor, and drowsiness clothes them in rags” (Proverbs 23:21). Lust to have an intense desire or need: “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart” (Matthew 5:28). |
