Cultists invade, destroy Secondus, Ikuru’s houses in Rivers State
By Kelvin Ebiri, Port Harcourt
10 March 2020 | 3:05 am

Cultists have invaded Ikuru, hometown of National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus destroying his house and that of former Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru.

Rivers State Police command hinted that Marine policemen would be deployed to man the waterways around Ikuru and other riverine communities in the Andoni Council Area of the state.

The Guardian learnt from a resident of Asarama Community that the attack on Secondus and Ikuru’s houses was triggered by an offensive by security agents at the weekend that led to the murder of a wanted kidnapper, Ekeni-Ore-Owaji, otherwise called ‘Small witch.’

The source explained that security operatives had stormed Asarama on Friday and raided the hideouts of Ekeni-Ore-Owaji’s gang members and torched the homes of their parents.

He also revealed that the joint security operatives also destroyed illegal oil bunkering sites operated by the cultists, adding that the sudden invasion of the community by security operatives forced most of the cultists to flee into the creeks.Items recovered from Small Witch after he was shot are, five magazines, one AK47 containing about 120 live ammunition and a local gun.

The source added that the gang later regrouped and unleashed reprisals on some communities Ikuru, saying, “On Sunday night, they invaded Ikuru town and destroyed Secondus, Ikuru and his father’s house.

“The cultists attacked their houses because they believed Secondus and Ikuru are the godfathers of the Chairman of Andoni Council, Paul Lawrence Paul.

It was also learnt that the cultists also attacked Ajaka Community, the home town of Paul, whom they accused of instigating the raid by security agents. They also attacked and burnt down the palace of the monarch of Ajaka Community.

Spokesman of the Rivers State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the killing of Small Witch, said Marine Police would be deployed to the Andoni waterways to ensure safety of lives and property in the area.

The police had blamed the slain kidnapper for last year’s kidnap of two Policemen, ASP Godwin Anwuri and Sergeant Gift Ojimini alongside their boat driver, Festus Friday who were abducted at Ngo waterside and held captive for three months. He was also accused of the recent killing of a Police Inspector attached to the anti-cultism unit of the state Police Command.

Hahahaha see defence. Even Anambra people regards so high Igala people from Kogi than you 3rd class igbos from Ebonyi.

Anambra man will first give an Igala man attention and will frown the moment you opens to say you are from Ebonyi. This is the mindset of every igbo man concerning Ebonyi people.

Ebonyi = almajiri-igbos

I can relate with this. I don't have a single friend from that Ebonyi state, what's the need anyways?

Always displaying their hostile behaviours everywhere. Thank God you cannot use matchet in this forum.

Which development is going on in your state? Please travel outside Ebonyi and change your timid and hostile mentality. You celeberate disco lights as development? I just told you that Afikpo, a major town in the state has been in darkness since he came into office in 2015 and residents are leaving in their numbers thereby bringing the economy of the town to a halt and you are not concerned. The road to the only hospital there is also not motorable.

Pictures of Presco junction, Spera in deo and Undensi roundabout are what you have been circulating and celebrating since 2018. All in one out of the thirteen LGA. Can you show us other LGAs? #restoreafikpolight

You are very correct, again I think Ebonyi is more or less an almajiri-igbos. Ebonyi remains the most backward state in southern Nigeria and also the state with the poorest people in southern Nigeria. Most parts of ebonyi state don't know have roads, water nor electricity. There are parts of ebonyi state that the people there have not seen vehicles before. Very timid awkward archaic illiterates.

I can also relate with this about ebony state.

Ebonyi is a cursed state with cursed people. All they do is hawking gala all over Nigeria. What ebonyi needs is education and human capital development because most ebonyi people are illiterates, barrow pushers, okada riders, etc. Ebonyi people are regarded as aboki in igbo land. A very timid backward state that doesn't have ordinary drinking water.

I can relate with this because I school at Ebsu before I changed to unn to complete my uni. Most of ebonyi people are illiterates

You stated the fact. Don't allow these guys deceive you with their online propaganda . The only "beautiful place " in Enugu is just the area around the government house which is like .01% of the entire town. Even the pictures uploaded up there are the same government house surroundings

Sanchez01:

Most beautiful ké? Are the likes of Enugu South, precisely Gariki and Nkanu West that is a stark village not part of Enugu? Is Enugu East not also part of Enugu?

The only 'beautiful' place in Enugu is Enugu North and its 'beauty' got nothing on Ikeja. I lived in the state for four years and I know for a fact all the way from Ekweremadu's house, down to Rangers Avenue and the Government House, to Otigba and Polo then a bit towards Orthopaedic Hospital, before getting to GOU are the only places that fits the word 'try'.

Interestingly, all of these places I mentioned aren't close to Ketu to Ikorodu, distance wise.

All of the places captured are around the government house. Perhaps you want to show pictures of Nkanu West, Enugu South and Enugu East. At least, these are the closest to the most developed area in Enugu (North).

Hahahahaha... My sister, you need to see the way am laughing at you right now? You should have seen my face! Ignorance is one of the reasons most of us fail in so many aspects of life. So you don't see people from Ebonyi state as human beings right?

We either hawking or hustling? Wow... I feel for you Dutchess of Edinburgh grin When all this "Covik one nine" bullshit is over, try and visit Ebonyi state and see if you will like to come back to your beloved state again.

And if you are not married, I see you staying put and getting married down there, refusing to go back to your state or wherever you came from.

Proudly Ebonyian

What's this Ebonyi 3rd class igbo talking about? Why would I visit Ebonyi when 97% of Ebonyi people are either in Lagos, Onitsha, Port Harcourt, Enigu hawking gala and soft drinks? Please shift one side.
Politics / Re: Umahi Tightens Ebonyi State Borders, Visits Boundaries To Ensure Total Lockdown by ngoxievergreen(f): 8:47am On Mar 29, 2020
Others are talking, ebonyi is also talking. How many people goes to ebonyi state? There's no need to lock down the state because there maybe no more than 20000 people resident in ebonyi state, because most of them are either in Lagos, Onitsha or Port Harcourt where they are hawking and hustling.

Politics / Economic Terrorism Against Imo State People In Owerri- PICTURES by ngoxievergreen(f): 9:45am On Mar 28, 2020

The Economic Terrorism Against IMO People Continues By The State Government As ENTRACO'S Thugs Unleashes Economic Mayhem On The People At World Bank Last Roundabout Owerri.

Like we have noted in the past; we are not against the moves to drive out traders trading on illegal paths on the state capital however we are STRONGLY against the way and manner the agents of the state government particularly ENTRACO go about carrying out this objectives which is highly condemnable by every right thinking IMO citizen.

Information at our disposal has it that these people were not even given any prior notice before these Thugs descended on them.

How can a government be so callous and wicked to its own people?

Workers are still owed TWO months salaries yet you go about destroying the economic livelihoods of the people who may be the ones supporting the state workers owed for two months.

This is wickedness of the highest level.

We understand that the Supreme Court Governor is aggrieved by the single fact that these traders never voted him during the last election but must he continue to carry on with this evil malice even when the Supreme Court against all known judicial norms declared you a governor.

Please we beg of you, have mercy on IMO people.

You mean you just visited New York Onitsha from this same Ibadan that is filled with mud houses and brown rustic roofs. The same Ibadan filled with illiterates and ignorant people that don't even have toilets in their homes. Please is there another Ibadan aside this?

chihes:
He is right, I just returned from Onitsha last week, honestly they were all making joke out of it. Me that just traveled there from Ibadan was like aah aah, these people don't really know what is going on. Business was as usual. Is now that Obiano's team started monitoring the people coming in from river Niger bridge that the residents of Anambra may start feeling there's fire on the mountain.
