Good morning,
Work is still in progress. They are not through with the EH list. The Union/DPR management may hold final meeting this week.
The recruitment will be over when the successful ones receive a notification for documentation. For now, the DPR has to ensure that everyone on the list have collected their letters.
The new list can’t be accessed by anyone at this time. Don’t waste your time asking a staff to help confirm or check names because Mr Tata has the list. Everyone should be patient, they will contact the rest.
Happy New Month guys![/quote] |

Onyiridike: Please sir it is not over for common man. Some will still testify here, that I strongly believe.
Miraculously you can get called too. Do not limit the power of God.
It is just heart breaking that president Buhari whom virtually everybody believes to be a man of integrity allowed politicians to influence recruitment. Most surprising is the fact that he is the minister of petroleum resources.
I pray for younger youths because if men could use green wood like this what will happen when they are dry. Good morning dear. Hope u are fine. Plz I got to know u are from Enugu state thru ur questions and contribution. Am from Enugu too. Applied as EH candidate. Plz I need to discuss with u. Plz if u wouldnt mind inbox or whatsapp me via 08134107197. Then I will call u asap. Thanks dear |

Marvel64: Good afternoon hopefuls,
Some of the comments made here almost tempted me to reveal information considered highly classified that could have implicated some persons. I only decided to share what was necessary and not go beyond what I know.
Firstly, the children of retired DPR staff that had their names submitted at the HQ, were more than the 400. In order to reduce the number, The king and Mr Tata made it clear to the retired staff that if their children don’t meet the cut off, they will be dropped. Only 10% percent made it on merit. When DPR sent the update mail to the successful once on October, 2017. The office was flooded with parents of the candidates that didn’t make begging Mr Tata to consider their children, he ignored them. Many of them placed calls to him but he told them that he couldn’t do anything about it because he made it clear from the beginning.
Someone said DDs have their own candidates which i can confirm is true. Mr Tata gave them the number of candidates they can bring into the system, he said anything more than that will not be acceptable. Candidates of the minister of state for Petroleum Resources, Senators, FCC, house of rep members ( especially those in upstream and downstream commuters) and other stakeholders were accepted. All of these people constituted about 20% of the final list. The remaining 80% were merit candidates. Trust me, most of the slots went to the non technical positions. The technical positions had more merit candidates. Those of you that used your connections that’s makes you so confident shouldn’t celebrate too early, many of those names were dropped. Just pray your name wasn’t among. Many will be disappointed, I repeat again.
Someone also mention some DPR staff not being competent, that’s the reason Mr Tata wants to ensure the right hands gets in that can add more value to the system. He shocked many people that thought it would be business as usual. I must say the successful ones that made it on merit are graced to have this man fight for them.
The overall performances recorded in this recruitment was the best so far. It was highly competitive. Some candidates credentials were really intimidating especially for EH positions. Engineers had the highest percentage on the list.
Decades ago, when there were few number of graduates in the country, DPR employed candidates that applied for positions not relating to their course of study. Today, there are many graduates and that made them change the policy.
Peace! Meaningful info. Thanks |

ultimatewarrior: Hello Marvel64, in my case I don't know anybody at dpr but after the interview I managed to meet my Honorable Member and he wrote a letter of recommendation for me and further linked me with a contact at dpr HQ to submit it on my behalf. I want to know if this increases, reduces or has no bearing on my chances whatsoever. Considering he is not on any petroleum committee or even APC. Thanks U have done ur parts, just pray. God's favour is limitless. If He likes, ur recommendation will find favour before the Director. Shalom |

Marvel64: Thanks for your contribution.
It’s obvious you don’t know the man you are dealing with here. I want you to do me a favour, if you know any management staff in the HQ, ask what Mr. Tata did in the month of January, 2018 that Made the other DDs shocked and speechless. Mr. Tata is fearless, bold and a man of integrity that was why he was get 300+ merit on the list. Mind you, Mr Tata and the king are from the same village. You have no idea how close they are.
Time will tell.
My bro or sister, yeah Mr Tata and the King are both from Niger State. Mr Tata and the king are brothers, that was why the king placed him there for complete cooperation and compliance. Mr Tata can not disobey the king, rather he can advice and suggest. U can be in HR no doubt about it. I as an individual wish as u wish things are done to most fairness. Even the life we live is not fair. Am a Christian, from our Bible in Exodus 33 Vs 19; God said He is going to show mercy to whom He wants to show mercy, not who deserves mercy but according to His discretion, and we can't question Him. To support it, we are pencils in the hand of the creator. It's not the most brilliant that gets the best job. It's time and chance, and all belongs to God. That's why I concluded by saying let people pray for God's grace not here analysing interview and aptitude test results as if we are part of the committee in charge of it. Making a lot of affirmative statements that have not actualised. If u remember since January 2018 till now, some said FCC has give COC in January and pple will be called. But till date 17/06/2018 some are still arguing COC given or not. Some have even speculated dates for APL but none is real. So this is to show that we are just saying what we feel. Some are even analysing interview results and mode of selection. Who is telling u guys all these. Pls I humbly advice again, for us to spend more time praying for God's grace. Now on the issue of merit, once u are invited for aptitude test, it simply mean u met the basic and standard requirements for the job. The essence of test is to reduce or pick the best. But events of life have taught us that exam is situational and not a true test of knowledge. Someone may have been sick on the date of exam or may have one issue or other, that can affect it's test result. I humbly ask again why of concessions given to Director of DPR, DDs which include Mr Shakur, must they pass the test? What they must attain is the basic and standard requirements. The perfect truth be told any average graduate of Nigeria can work in IOC not to mention of DPR once u are trained on the job. If artisans and road sides mechanics can dismantle and couple a car engine a first class mechanical engineer or Prof of Mechanical engineering can not do, it tells u much about on-the-job training. I emphasized on this point Becos of your comment on DPR taking dull brains. I challenge u, a lots of people working in DPR are not the best of brains, it's just the grace of God which can come in all forms, such as merit, recommendation from top politicians etc. My friends am not saying this to discourage us but for truth sake. It will equally shock u that some persons that didn't apply for this job and God said it is their own will get it. Just know that God can do all things. I Pray for positive change in Naija but the reality is what am telling u. There are stakeholders in the DPR and petroleum related parastatals. What of DPR board members, senators in Petroleum committee that confirms their budgets and PIGB, Minister of Petroleum, Presidency. Well let's wait upon the Lord and stop speaking as if we are getting the job by our intelligence and brilliance. Shalom |

Onyiridike: It seems he is yet to see people who have strong will. Only death can make them bend. They can even say no to their parents regardless of the consequences. When I meet those kind of people, I know that the room for favouritism is highly restricted. Funny enough, who is Mr Shakur? He is DD corporate services appointed to serve in that department by DPR Director not government. U pple have presumed Mr Shakur to be more superior to Director who appointed him into that position. He takes instructions from Director, he can't and I repeat can't go against the instructions of Director of DPR. Director can change him from that department anytime of his wish, not that he can reduce him from DD position but from heading the corporate services department. So Pls merit or no merit is at the discretion of the director. All recommendations from the top politicians are all addressed to the Director of DPR not DD corporate services. It is the discretion of the Director to either approve or disapprove it. Mind u, after compilation of the list, it is the director or Shakur that signs it. All of u are here saying merit merit merit, to be honest am a product of merit in my entire life, but bros and sisters grace of God is ultimate. This grace can come in any form. Getting a top politician or friend to Director or Mr Shakur or any DD in DPR recommend u is also a form of grace. Remember Grace is defined as unmeritted favour. So it can come in all forms. I know it is all our desires to get this DPR job, but the truth be told, naija is not a merit based nation. Starting with president appointments down to the commonest job in naija, connection, godfatherism etc is key. If DPR recruitment is merit based, what of slots given to all DDs in DPR. So u are telling me, all their candidates must pass before they will be recruited, that's fallacy. So minister of petroleum wouldn't have slots, senators in petroleum committees wouldn't have slots. Presidency wouldn't recommend Abi? Pls I humbly advice we pray and ask God for His favour. Some pple can still get it based on merit, but not as I have seem on this trend. 300 + on merit, Lol. I laugh in Swahili, am not discouraging anyone but advice strongly for prayers. Am open to criticism and insults as most of u have resorted to, if the write doesn't fit in to ur assumptions. Becos all that are been said here so far is assumptions. A lot of speculations that didn't happened as said. Once again good luck to all. |
