Romance / Girlfriend Family Hindering Her Progress! Demand Inconsiderate Amount Of Money ! by niccoloslick: 4:24pm On Mar 07, 2020
alright guys, opinions required.

I love my girl, and currently considering getting married to her this year. But I detest the way her family pester her for money. My fear is this will hinder her and me financially. So currently my girl isn't working, so I try my best to support her. She is done with uni & NYSC but is yet to find a job. Shes' into small business as well.

Her parents seem not to take her current situation into account. For instance her dad request high amount of money from her. Recently he requested 600'000 Naira. Money he needs to complete a project in the village. Please people is this normal ? He even goes ahead to threaten her never to call him, if she doesn't give it to him. This is very very unfair - and this is not parental love. I am also not sure I can respect such a man. Its men like this that push their daughters into prostitution or cause them to get married very late. Mind you this is not the first time, she has been unable to save over the past 3 years because of constant financial demands from them.

I'm considering quitting the relationship. I am not sure I want to deal with the family. I am worried that her family will not be able to carry out some of the responsibilities required during the process of marriage i.e. traditional and white. Particularly petty expenses their family will have to do. Particularly as her dad does not even have a house in the village. And being from the east (Anambra)...... una know

Your opinions are wanted, kindly push to front page.

Sincerly guys i know this girl inside and out...
The man is even threatening to cut her off , if she doesn't give it to him...
Yes she is the first daughter.

The girl is really struggling, and in fact the money is what she has saved.

This is a real life story, I now understand why some women end up as prostitutes.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have told her my mind about this. Which is she should cut her family off. I feel bad, but this is the only solution. Inconsiderate and Selfish parents require this treatments.

Jobs/Vacancies / Foreigners Working In Nigeria by niccoloslick: 9:31pm On Sep 20, 2016
Biko, is not time for government parastatals such as immigration, legislation to limit work visas giving to foreigners.

Why do we have foreigners in positions that Nigerians can comfortably fill? Its ridiculous giving the high unemployment rate. Nigerians abroad struggle to get jobs, see how the UK is reducing Nigerians working there, how easy is it for a Nigerian to work in India ? There are capable Nigerians in every sector, therefore government should look into it. A foreigner should not be in Nigeria in a position for more than 3 yrs. They should all have Nigerian understudy them by law.

*** Its time for Nigerians to protect ourselves.. because no one else will.

Guy I suggest you speak with HR... obviously there's some confusion

ChukwukaChijiokeJerri:
I went there and it turned out to be a one-on-one interview. The white man was asking me power related questions. ATS, Generator etc.. I told him pulp and plain that I don't haven't really worked much on those stuffs that I work on the active ones which is the BTS and Microwaves etc.. He asked if I had any question for him.. I asked him to tell me what they are looking for in an ideal candidate. After he spoke I knew I was not what they were looking for. But who do I blame if not for the HR people that sent me a mail for an interview for what I dont remember applying for.

This interview has nothing to do with whether you were called for the career fair or not. Its another round of recruitment...

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: IHS TOWERS Massive Recruitment by niccoloslick: 6:30pm On Sep 19, 2016
As I mentioned they look utterly unserious and unorganized. Some people in the following roles received offers in august including: network surveillance, procurement, telecoms. And yes, some have started. For all you know they've marked down their candidates, and just using this exercise to fulfil all righteousness.

lets see how it plays out/

some got offers just after the first interview..

gory24:

Please go for the interview..When I did my 2nd Interview, the expatriate told me point blank that positions for telecom engineers are all occupied,i was drafted into a more Civil-Engineering oriented role, which is my study area..So my best guess is that, dey have assigned you to another role, given that the one you applied for is already filled.Go for the interview, and also do well to state to your interviewer the role you had applied for..Good Luck..

What role did you interview for?

Pls those that have been given offers, did they attend the career fair as their first interview? Do you know anyone who attended any of the career fairs that have already been given employment offer? I've also attended my 2nd interview in ikoyi

My guy listen to me. While I understand she is a good person, there are many other good women. You are only 26 years of age - you shouldn't even be rushing because of marriage. MY GUY WALK AWAY FROM THE RELATIONSHIP.....

She had a difficult situation and you couldn't help her - but you have to get over this. These things happen. You must also consider her reaction, she got a second boyfriend to live with. her response tells U who she is. this is what you should judge her by. If you guys ever get married she will do the same.

she had other options what of family or female friends... Guy FORGET HER...... DO YOU, MOVE ON..... just keep her as a friend, but don't make the mistake if having a relationship with her again....

Just do you BRUV.....
