“I thought it was a grant, without knowing it was actually a loan.”

— Nigerian man cr!es out after ₦200,000 was allegedly deducted from his account over a COVID-19 loan his uncle reportedly obtained using his details in 2020.

According to him, during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, his uncle contacted him about a government COVID-19 support programme, telling him that some money would be sent to his account and asking him to give the uncle ₦150,000 as his share.

He said he specifically asked his uncle whether the money was a loan or a grant, but his uncle allegedly assured him that it was a grant.

However, while travelling days ago, he received a debit alert of ₦200,000 from his account. After investigating the deduction, he allegedly discovered that it was repayment for a COVID-19 loan obtained in 2020.

Whoever think that Tinubu would win Kano state is a joker.

Most of these old men in the north are the reason why the country is where it is today.

U have been in leadership positions in the past years...what achievement do they bring to their people if not bokoharam, bandits and herdsmen.

If we are serious in this country, a PCB(Price Commodity Board) should ensure that prices remains uniform and that the farmers/consumers should be protected from unscrupulous middlemen/unfavourable seasonality.

Your wife is the wahala here...I can't fight nor quarrel with someone who helped me relocate and even gave me almost 100% assistance and his wife wasn't against him helping u guys...

Tell ur wife to remember how ur brother and his wife had helped u guys. U guys owe them loyalty to death. No Bank even friends would lend u such money in this country or abroad.

Just warned ur wife not to start what she can't finish.

U guys are stable therefore, no material thing should enable qualms among u guys.

Be praying for that ur brother always and don't allow ur woman or wife to come in-between him and his wife.


Tell ur brother yourself that u are just noticing that both wives aren't flowing and that u want to settle this matter once and for all. Don't let his suspicion go beyond the level it is now.

Most Abuja plantain comes from Edo State and a friend of mine is both plantain and cocoa farmer...

Farmers are not the reason such things are expensive but middle men. During Buhari govt,a lady I know bought beans worth 100m in Kaduna at 18k per bag and she sold it all when the price went up to180k then.

Most farmers don't even know where their produce are going to but the middle men.

Middle are the people who peg prices and not farmers.

Plantains are very very expensive in Southern Nigerian. Thank God you said Abuja because food will be predictably affordable in MB region. I travel a lot, so I see all these things.

If we can be intentional and not cosmetic about agriculture, no Nigerian should be complaining about food shortage/price.

The demand is not high but encouraging. This is due to lifestyle changes, avoidance of diabetes and weight loss programs.

The present supply can take care of these, all thanks to resistant plantain species. Unfortunately, price barrier is something else.

Well,I don't need to argue with u. May be because of the town u are living. In Abuja, a roasted plantain is 2k in Wuse area and people are rushing it.

In umuahia where I come from,it is high too.
Very high honestly. I went to a market in Umuosu around Ngwa and I was shocked to see one bunch of plantain costing about about 10k to 15k respectively and people are rushing it and women are buying to fill up their vehicles mainly for business.

Most men who are above 30 and 35 and yet to marry are in that condition because of poverty,lack of opportunities and not been able to get stable financially.

Intresting. My dad really tried for us in every ramifications. We had everything we wanted as kids. My mom spoilt us silly when we were kids. But after she sadly passed away in 2012, it wasn't that easy for my dad to train four kids in the university at once. Anyways, we are all doing well today and he's eating the fruits of his labour. But l will never give birth to more than 2 kids no matter what, cus anything can happen at any time.
In the same vein, my dad married quite late at 35, so by the time we were all in the university, he was already a retired Bank Auditor relying mostly on pensions and stoke brokerage. So l will never have kids once l cross 35. Training kids in old age no be beans at all.

I am also thinking of starting a plantain plantation in Abia state some day.

The market is inexhaustible especially in the east where people buy a lot of roasted plaintan and yam in that part of the world.

Nigeria is actually a land of opportunities and the major snag we have is the lack of govt incentives to help the young who are interested in this business.

5. Peter Obi rejected the offer of an Oil Well, one of the reasons Nigerian Politicians k!ll to attain Abuja Status.

6. Peter Obi rejected the allocation of millions of naira for the set up of office of the First Lady. Insisting that his wife was not an elected official.

7. Peter Obi rejected the proposal to share the State annual budget on percentage with the State House of Assembly leading to his first unlawful impeachment.

8. Peter Obi handed over about #75bn in cash & assets after 8yrs as Governor, rejecting to convert it to personal use like other Governors did.

This man has conquered man's most natural, intense & vicious appetite...Greed.

I want someone to prove just one of these statements to be false.

The man is well known importer known as omoletex na umuchu in Onitsha .He said,ever since that young man joined his business he himself has built over 12 houses and because of that ,he decided to build this one and reward his boy after 3 years of serving him.

U think if it is drug money,he will announce it for the world to see.

Igbos are rich beyond words. That young man that he settled is far richer than most directors in Nigeria today who have served federal govt and still suffering.

Nothing beats learning a trade like the igbos.

Most time you serve for 5 - 10 years. 3 years is very minimal and less likely except in skills apprentriship.

He served just three years. And he happened that he was well behaved and had really saved his oga in many business deals. As we speak,he traveled to bring his oga's goods abroad.
