I tried upwork with the strategies here but was still denied approval.

So I decided to try freelancer.com I got accepted

I sent out a proposal with the strategies I learnt here, before I could send the second proposal I was awarded the the contract for the first proposal I had already sent.

Though that job had over 18 bids...and I got it

Hi guys. I just got my first job on freelancer. Problem is I'm not sure how to withdraw the funds from there since Payoneer payment is no longer accepted and we can't receive funds via PayPal.

I use an international paypal account. You can have someone setup that for you.

You can also use a local bank transfer but you need to send freelancer some IDs to get that payment option verified.

I think what you're sharing is fantastic. I've been on Upwork for a while myself, but only really began making nice money as at October last year. These things you speak of are things I wish I'd known at the beginning of my career as a voice over artist, and a writer.

Now I've landed repeat clients with recurring work, so I don't have to overwork myself with sending out proposal after proposal. On a bad week I make at least $200. That's a little over twice the new monthly minimum wage in Nigeria, in a week.

Allow the skeptics be skeptics.

I've signed up to your newsletter, because I believe there's always something new to learn, and you can always get better at your craft. I love the way you write your stuff, and I can tell the clients must love you too! I'll be following your posts closely.

Hi boss, I have registered on freelancer.com but I have 8 bids. Is it advisable to enroll for the membership plan with a month free subscription?

Your proposal credits get topped up regularly after you run them down. I think you have 8 monthly.

It’s best not to enroll for memebership until you start getting good response rates from your proposals. I aim for 1 response from 3 sent.

Stay on the free plan for now.

So I got hired for my very first job.
It's a writing job though.
The client actually doesn't need a professional writer to write for her. She needed a real life experience and not a fictional story.
So I submitted my proposal and was hired. I underbid sha but I'm still happy. I submitted the article since last month though but the client didn't even reply my messages.but upwork had released the payment.
An excerpt from my proposal


"Everyone has a story to tell but not all stories are heard. I saw your job Post and I wish to work with you so that my story could be heard.
I'm ready to write this for you free but upwork wouldnt allow me to submit proposal without putting an amount. That's why I had to put the $5. I'm ready to write a grammatical error free story within the next 4hours. .................

What’s Wordpress? No qualms.

You can still quit your miserable job and make full time income working part time. All you need is write clear and simple English.

I’m going to show you how I do it.

Many people think it’s saturated and competitive. I Know a lot of people who also think writing gigs are bottom of the barrel pay.

‘Fred, I only see people offering $1 dollar for 500 words. That’s slavery!’

Yes. But that’s because most people don’t know how to go about getting paid their worth.

My last writing job was for $30 for a 500 word article.

Those jobs are out there.

You just need to know where to look.

That’s what my newsletter will focus on now.

No experience or degree needed. Just know how to write simple, basic English.

Every business out there need articles. Content marketing is all the rage now. Why?

They need them to get exposure by drawing attention to their products and services.

That means a lot of opportunities for us freelance writers.

What I’m going to be teaching is how to sell shovels in the gold rush.

Expensive shovels not just any shovel.

You’ll get to set your own rates and write whatever you want to write about.

It’s easy to get started. But this is also a drawback. Many people are attracted to freelance writing because of this and many of them fail.
