When we got to the room, Kay started explaining everything to me.He told me there was a drug chain operating in the school something that had existed since the very first set.According to him, many of the students in Ajayi had been transferred or rescued from different schools. Some had attended two or three schools before ending up there. Ajayi was supposed to be a place for reform, almost like a rehabilitation center,though not officially one. But beneath that surface, something much darker had been growing.

Kay told me the drug operation was called the Emirates.It wasn’t just a small group it was a full network. More like a cartel than a gang. Even cult groups were involved. The operation had been passed down from one set of students to another, year after year. And the only time you can the cult groups clash is only when they are fighting for the cartel supremacy.

So we have our classes with other departments, I managed to have some friends, those guys I meet for cafeteria, Seyi and Tobi . Our orientation class took place inside the faculty of law, na only law students their things different other faculty do their own for school auditorium. Two woman enter introduce themselves as our lectures, Mrs jolayemi and miss kehinde. They are lawyers actually, they took us through some things in the school but I noticed when they talk about hostels they tell us to be careful of Jah hostels and those that are there should be careful of those they associate with. School complex is a business area where student buy whatever they need to the hostel. I just waka go hostel back, Kenny was already missing me she called me when I was in class so I called her back and we talked, she told me how much she missed me and all. First week for freshers is for orientation classes, all 100 level students are scheduled for classes about the school and all, early in the morning we go first do sport from 6am to 8am. The side wey my room Dey,I Dey middle floor my room Dey extreme end. We Dey look Lagos hostel from afar Dey shout give dem. Na my from Dey close to laundry and toilet . E Dey face school directly, so I wake up to see the school view. Registrars block, vc block and DLW girls hostel Dey like 10 minutes walk, na health center Dey face am and SDC hall(student disciplinary committee). I’m trying to describe what the school looks like. It’s quite choked up but corners choke and some kind unnecessary field Dey.as time goes on you get to understand more.
That first night, around 11pm we just Dey hear footstep outside for balcony side because na the two window for there we place our bed. Naso we wake up, next thing we Dey hear people Dey climb balcony from ground floor reach our room balcony. Na that night I meet Sir Tommy, Baba Raji and Cross. He say he go come back,them free us climb stairs go upstair.

I had a week left to resumption, funny thing about this school is that there’s a list of items to be brought to school. If you carry anything wey no Dey the list dem go help you fling am go outside.It’s an Anglican private university .I force myself follow my mama go market buy everything wey I need. I buy expensive suit join for special occasion those kind law dinner but deep down I no wan go the school, everybody Dey happy for me but na me know Wetin I see for that way when I go write exam, those guys wey not smiling, they looked frustrated. Small time wey remain for me for house I just spend am with my babe Kenny. Jah boys run oooo. It’s extremely large with over 200 rooms, it has 4 floors with a pent house for relaxing. Snookers and table tennis were there and TV for boys to watch ball it has wing A and wing B. It has enough bathrooms and toilets. Jah hostel too big with a lot of vacant rooms after full resumption.
Ibadan hostel na taja teran lol but the level of unity in the hostel is another level. It’s like half of Jah hostel. Wing A and B as well. The only hostel with balcony for each rooms.
Lagos hostel na soft boys full am. Na the hostel fine and clean pass. But na dem Dey suffer pass. Space no Dey there at all
As for the girls they have UFH (university female hostel)and DLW hostel (Diocese of Lagos west hostel)
I found myself in Ibadan hostel, as I enter with my parent dem register me ASAP. Give me room A14. That was how I met Nicholas my first roommate, na church boy but he like woman lol. He’s a church boy that like girls like mad, we got along but he like Dey chop my provisions anyhow. My first night in ACU I was in my room throughout thinking. It’s a kind of room that has four wardrobes at each corner, we used single bunks, and then we have a balcony to chill. We shared toilet and bathrooms, but there’s enough for everybody. Myself and Nicholas were the only ones in room. It was meant to be 4 students in a room but we found just both of us. Not until the real room owners came later in the night. We were asleep around 11pm
