BlackManta:
Netflix winning the bidding war is surprising. A streaming-first company taking over Warner Bros wasn’t something I expected.

My concern is Netflix’s stance on cinema. They’ve always pushed the idea that streaming is the only real future for entertainment. They rarely give their films proper theatrical releases, and even when they do, it’s limited to a few hundred cinemas in the U.S.

As a Nigerian viewer, you can’t even watch something like Frankenstein in a cinema.

So with Netflix now in control of Warner Bros, the big question is: will films like Dune Part 3, The Batman, Godzilla etc. end up as streaming-only titles instead of getting a full cinematic release?

I guess directors will just start demanding 3 months theatrical release in their contracts now.

I see you're on a Mia Goth run. How are you enjoying the ride with my Queen?

Saw her in Frankenstein and decided to dive into her works, her dull facial expressions was what drew me

Whole internet is buzzing since the Michael trailer was dropped but barely anything here. Thread really fell off

Maybe folks here aren’t into biopics. I’ve been anticipating the movie since I heard of it’s inception here

They brought it here?? Omdsssss 😩😩😩....I have been seeing people stories on how ridiculously nice a watch it was on the big screen, particularly on IMAX.

I am so vexed, i am just starting the show , so i can't see it now fgsss 😭😭

You can definitely go see it, be like me

I watched the Mugen Train during the pandemic without watching a single episode and I’ll watch this new one later today

Kaycee7:
Series peaked with Rogue Nation, I'm afraid.

Fallout does it for me. They could have ended it there, and I’d be satisfied

The duration probably kept people away. I personally enjoyed the movie...a lot, but I had to pause several times.

I kinda liked Dead Reckoning better.

Hohenheim:
Remember kryptonians in Man of Steel were genetically engineered to be the perfect citizen and follow the roles they were given so you're telling me that the perfect rulers refused to believe the perfect scientist about an impending doom and they also had the ability to terraform planets which Zod used in the movie so they could have terraformed any planet of their choice. Would have made sense if they had someone like Brainiac deceiving them like we see in some other Superman stories.

Well, maybe the politicians who were the rulers were engineered to be stupid like politicians on earth too

But seriously, if you bring a magnifier to every movie, you will find holes like this. Even this new movie had some

Hohenheim:
I just remembered that in Man of Steel Kryptonians had the power to terraform Earth into Krypton also had interstellar travel but for some reason they couldn't save their planet from exploding.
And this is the movie that is supposedly better than Superman 2025

I think this was explained in the movie. They abandoned their outerspace outpost and overutilized krypton’s resources till its core became unstable and kaboom

chuksp09:
Cinema?

How come no one is talking about the costumes or is it just me? I can't be the only one who finds the costume silly especially in contemporary times.

They have to change that thing before Justice League hits. I believe James Gunn will crush it with a Justice League movie though. That's the kind of thing he excels in. Team up films. Superman would have worked better if it was not a Superman solo movie but a film that has Superman as a minor character.

The suits are made by maxwell lord and will be changed later I think. But for superman, I don’t think they’re changing it and I hate the trunk… always hated it

How did the movie have Superman has a minor character? I don’t have the figure for his screen time but he had the most minutes in that movie
