Just watched the trailer on IMAX. People are not ready for this movie. I'll be watching the movie in a week

I saw how different the movie will look on imax screen and a regular one. Sad we only have just one in Lagos.

Makes sense as a movie, story is short and uninteresting imo

I wonder how paramount messed this up so badly. Why can’t they just go ahead and release it now? Or do they have any movie they are actively promoting?

Netflix winning the bidding war is surprising. A streaming-first company taking over Warner Bros wasn’t something I expected.

My concern is Netflix’s stance on cinema. They’ve always pushed the idea that streaming is the only real future for entertainment. They rarely give their films proper theatrical releases, and even when they do, it’s limited to a few hundred cinemas in the U.S.

As a Nigerian viewer, you can’t even watch something like Frankenstein in a cinema.

So with Netflix now in control of Warner Bros, the big question is: will films like Dune Part 3, The Batman, Godzilla etc. end up as streaming-only titles instead of getting a full cinematic release?

I guess directors will just start demanding 3 months theatrical release in their contracts now.
