Nairaland / General / Re: 10 Insects You Probably Don't Know Their Names. by NickyB: 8:25am On Jan 08, 2020

Wow! Really nice piece. Didn't know that number 1 and 8.

Seun and mods, is this not educative enough for front page?

It's educative indeed, I'm glad that I stumbled upon this article and I would like to see more of this. I would add that moth flies and drain gnats can't harm you directly because they are too small to bite human skin, then can be very annoying as mosquitos. Moreover, they can transfer diseases and that's not what you want. And if you have trouble with those gnats then I would recommend checking this article https://pestcontrolhacks.com/how-to-get-rid-of-gnats-using-simple-and-quick-approaches/. Stay safe!

Health / Re: Several Useful Workouts For Sufferers With Chronic Prostatitis by NickyB: 10:54am On Jan 07, 2020
AriannaaJones:

A recent study of 47,620 guys, carried out by American researchers for 14 years, demonstrates that productive involvement in physical exercise may help slow-moving the spread of prostate malignancy cellular material. Members participated in sports activities, including jogging, running, tennis games, cycling and going swimming and gymnastics. The study also learned that guys over 65 years of age, who frequently take part in sporting activities, are about 70Percent less likely to build up prostate cancer than the basic populace.

"Guys over 65 years of age are significantly less very likely to build sophisticated prostate malignancy should they exercise more than three hrs a week," the research said. So, for prostatitis sufferers, how should they workout to get good results?

I enjoyed reading this article because I can relate to that. My husband is 45 but he's still in a good shape thanks to sports activities. He is big jogging and running enthusiast. He even reads articles like this https://willpowerpeak.com/best-running-pants/ very often and can spend hours reading about right running gear.
Family / Re: First Time Mum Needs Help On Baby Items by NickyB: 7:54am On Jan 07, 2020

If you are looking to save cost, I suggest you look for mums who have had kids that are now toddlers. They will probably have a ton of clothes to give away. Both old and new. Once you have settled this, focus on buying a baby cot, feeding bottles, bottle warmer, flask and possibly diapers. If you can't afford Diapers, plan for nappies. Wish you the best.

I agree with that. That's how I got a bunch of diapers and a bottle warmer last time. Though I was very grateful for these, the warmer wasn't suitable for my bottles and it wasn't really in good shape. So, in my opinion, it would be better if you check this review about the best bottle warmers so you won't get in trouble as I did. Cheers!
Romance / Re: 15 Perfect Gift Ideas For Your Boyfriend This Christmas by NickyB: 1:12pm On Dec 28, 2019
Paragraph 14 is so relevant because he already has everything else from this list. As for the gadgets, that's the only stuff my hubby loves to get as a Christmas present. I was looking for advice and got an idea from this site https://cherokeevalleygolfclub.com/. I'm thinking about getting a pair of good headphones. What do you think?

Just spending time together is enough for me.
Programming / Re: Coding Looks Cool. by NickyB: 11:32am On Dec 28, 2019
In my opinion, coding should be useful for yourself. For example, I managed to improve my home routers, they work better now. Same with self-written drivers for home gadgets. I managed to install a smart home system myself. Well, I read lots of articles like this before that. Only after achieving such milestones you can offer your skills to others.

Computers / Re: Apple Got Patent Approval For Folio Keyboard With Smart Gesture. by NickyB: 10:57am On Dec 28, 2019
I think they are late with this gesture keyboard. People are too lazy to use gestures for managing house gadgets, me too. I prefer to control my robot vacuum via smartphone, same with other smart home features that I managed to install after reading guides on https://cityofmayfield.org/. There are also useful articles too especially the ones about drone repair.

Science/Technology / Re: Freight Drones Promise To Revolutionize The Way Heavy Goods Are Transported by NickyB: 10:07am On Dec 28, 2019
That's very neat. I hope this technology will be available for private use in the future. I would like to see such drones as a part of my smart home. By the way, it is mentioned on this site http://vintagefret.com/. It would be nice to manage all these gadgets like robot vacuum, lighting and doors via your smartphone.

Health / Re: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by NickyB: 11:23am On Dec 04, 2019
Hello everyone. I'm 5 weeks pregnant and I'm so excited because that's going to be my first baby. I'm also very nervous about it. I have a very supportive husband, but I'm still thinking that something might go wrong. I just want to be prepared and reading various sources about pregnancy, like this page and some other maternity forums. That's how I found this thread as well as other threads on this forum. How to stop overthinking this? Thanks.

Agriculture / Re: How To Grow Okro In Containers by NickyB: 10:22am On Dec 04, 2019
Hey there. I looked through your article and I liked it very much. Some instructions are a bit unclear, but O got the idea. I want to start growing okra on my backyard, I have some experience in vegetable gardening but I have one question. Should I use a fertilizer spreader like one of these, for example, or I supposed to spread it manually? Because I think it's handier. Also, can I plant it near other vegetables and fruits? Thanks.
