Is COVID19 real? See for yourself Maximizing this present moment for a profitable post COVID19 experience is not another inspirational title carved out to make you smile or giggle at the screen but a call for you to maximize the moment while it last. A lot of young and maybe old people today seem to have remain bored and overwhelmed by the experiences of things around, following the adverse effect of the present global pandemic on life generally. This stems from the feelings of times spent at home, waiting for the next course of action coupled with the fact that everyday activities seem to be the same and going in the same order like that daily. The recent reality is that the effect of COVID19 calls for us all to reposition ourselves and our life for the new normal which has come to stay. Many of us would never have thought schools, churches, banks and in short life could be brought to a total standstill but unfortunately that is what we got as a result of our nations strive to curb its effect. As a matter of fact, for nations whose healthcare system is in total shambles, it is a tougher experience to coup with. Even with the developed nations with almost excellent healthcare system, the absence of vaccine to treat this novel virus seems to be a thorn in the flesh. On the contrary, the COVID19 pandemic which has brought nations of the world to a state of indefinite lockdown seem to have given an ample time to many people to do a lot of things they had wanted to do, (I mean age-long longings) leaving us all to maximize the moment if we choose to. One thing to notice in a time as this is the fact that the Work From Home (WFH) mantra has taken up the whole world and everyone is coming up with amazing creativity to bring to light, great ideas which initially was struggling or was never before considered. For the family folks; husbands, wife, parent generally and children, it has been a moment unveiling itself with various surprises. Many couples are seeing some day to day behavior of their spouses they had never seen before and this has left a lot to wonder. This period particularly has given also the fathers the privilege to bond more with their children and then the results of it goes on and on and on. As much as companies are laying off staffs, many more are recruiting creative hands to manage their businesses. Big giant such as Google, Amazon and Apple have made calls for openings in their firms just some weeks ago. Digital skills seem to be in great demand and more internet based vacancies are opening for people to fill up as the days unfold. As a matter of fact companies, I mean older companies that have been in existence for more than a decade now can categorically pinpoint loopholes in their operation as a result of this lockdown. If you don’t know, this lockdown seem to have also exposed a lot of inadequacies in the government of the world, the corporate world and industry and now the failure to plan or foresee into a reality as this seem to be haunting everyone. An example of this is seen in our poor healthcare system, absence of job security, workplace myopic response to working from home and lots more. This then leave us with the fact that we can’t run anywhere else (at least we have seen this in recent weeks following the shutdown of aircrafts from flying) order than facing our problems head on, adjusting to our new normal and as well preparing for the days ahead of us. So how do you do this? 1. Run a scrutiny check on the loophole suffered in this period of lockdown on your business 2. Think flexible work culture 3. Prepare and fine tune your CV/resume for your preferred industry (because surely some people have been laid off already without knowing) 4. Go acquire at least a digital skill (it is very evident now how much this is treasured in any industry you can name) 5. Build more positive relationships this time (some jobs will never come by your CV. How good is your interpersonal relationships) 6. Settle with the fact that business can never be as usual again. 7. Be resolute to work better. Above all, the truth today is that those who add value to any organization on earth are hardly laid off except in extreme cases. So even as we seem to be coasting to the end of this pandemic, as a result of the several vaccine discoveries (or undergoing trials) I charge that you sustain your commitment to be better at whatever you do. Be positioned to get the best of the Post COVID19 season and excel in all you do. See who we are - https:///3dDlZa3 ©Odunayo Ajani 2020 for HTWM News desk. |
Do you want to grow old? Of course, any Tom Dick and Harry will answer in the affirmative since growing old is one sign of grace and evidence of passing through life with some experiences to show for it. But then have you come to think about the fact that the aged ones amongst us were once kids and infant that sits on some parent’s laps? Yes, someone took good care of them to become the aged adults we see today. And now that they are old, taking good care of them still never stops. Taking good care of our elders most importantly the aged ones is one thing that is almost becoming old-fashioned in our present world where money seems to get things done with ease. As much as finance is needed to give these senior citizens the best of care, having you (the child or caregiver) around could give them dimples of joy. Most parents don’t even care that much if you send them money or not, but an excitement is stirred in them when they are assured of you paying them a visit. Aged adults often lose strength following the aging phase of their lives, and this point in their lives often calls for support. While aging tells on their physical strength it shows also in their ability to recollect and bring back past experiences. This one good reason to say, shouting on them might be the wrong thing to do when they fail to get the idea you are communicating to them. At this point in their life, they only need to feel loved and be able as well to comprehend your compassionate feeling towards them. Having our aged folks and parents in mind should be as sure as knowing what next to eat. When taking care of them has been engraved in the heart, then it becomes a case of one good turn that plays back to you in the days to come. This been said, when you give attention to your old folk's financial and emotional needs, it helps in a way to reduce their aging process. Although this is not proved but I know it works even as regular laughter and excitement work wonder for the soul. Taking good care of your aged parent, folks and adult is not something farfetched, it could be as simple as; 1. Giving them a surprise birthday party 2. Reproducing an old memory for them (reprinting pictures, showing them collections of old things they did in the past). 3. Helping them achieve a younger age ambition 4. Being around to play and laugh with them 5. Giving them gifts 6. And the list continues This list is inexhaustive and can further be lengthened depending on your creativity with fun. But then it is an onus on every young person to see to the care of an aged person, a priority and not what you feel you should do. No one ever wants to be caught in the negative law of Karma. http://www.healtheworldmovementng.org/blog/2020/02/07/giving-succor-to-aged-fellows-in-our-life-and-community/

Have you ever had reasons to throw up in between a road trip or even experience dizziness amid an air trip? Yes what you‘ve just experienced is travel sickness otherwise called motion sickness. Travel sickness might just be new to you but then it is real and it happens to people. Travel sickness is one awkward moment for travelers and it is generally aroused by vehicular movement of any sort. It is that sickness that researchers said first causes disturbance in the inner ear and later result into nausea, dizziness, vomiting etc. It is an unintentional discomfort that accompanies travel. Researchers explained that motion is detected by the brain through different pathways of the nervous system which includes the eyes, the inner ear, and the tissues of the body surface. This further explains that when the body is moved intentionally, for example while walking, the response from all of the pathways is coordinated by our brain. Medical news today explains that the symptom of travel sickness appears when the central nervous system receives conflicting messages from the sensory systems: the inner ear, eyes, skin pressure receptors, and the muscle and joint sensory receptors. For example, if someone is sat on a boat or in a car (not looking out of a window), their inner ears sense movement up and down, left and right, but their eyes see a static view, as if they are not moving at all. It is hypothesized that the conflict among the inputs is responsible for motion sickness. Before we look at the possible solution to travel sickness, one constant remedy to it has always been the motion coming to a halt. It is confirmed that when motion stops the distress experienced comes to an end as well. Just as you know that this is not your usual medical blog, we will be looking at possible solutions to travel sickness. 1. Be careful what you eat before departure. Eating oily and greasy food before embarking on a trip can also be disturbing. When you consume food as this and motion toss you to and fro there is a possibility of you vomiting or having stomach upset. 2. Sleeping. With the help of your sleep mask, sleeping becomes easy and it brings a total calm to any possible nervous discomfort. Sleep helps to bring to rest conflict between your eyes and ears. As a matter of fact it is another easy way to remain refreshed till you alight at your destination. 3. Get fresh air. Fresh has been proven to help avert quite good numbers of the travel sickness you can think of. It generally helps to avert bad smells but also help bring calmness to your bodily system. 4. Try ginger candy. It has been reportedly said that hard Ginger candy helps avert nausea. 5. Chewing gum. By chewing gum, an uncanny effect is created and this effect reduction or total aversion of motion sickness when one is on motion. While gum chewing seems effective, other things can also be chewed like snacks etc. Medications can also be used to stop and avert travel sickness. Other symptoms of travel sickness includes; sweating, drooling, pallor, short breath, incessant yawning, uneasiness. Read more here - https:///2XBSGNQ |

Beat procrastination now May open on a note for World Changers to live up to their dreams and quit procrastination. Mrs Mojisola Bello, the project coordinator of World Changers movement has charged world changers during this month’s seminar which took place at the discovery seminar on Saturday, May 4, to beat procrastination and take action. Bello who spoke to the youth arm of Heal the world Movement said procrastination is a voluntary delay of doing what is needful and trading time for pleasurable things. She stressed that people procrastinate due to lack of discipline or even self-control. While speaking to members of world changers Bello expressed that procrastination chooses to do something else instead of doing what is needed to be done because it is easier to enjoy pleasure than endure pain. But then there is no gain without pain. She further told the audience the importance of having a daily to-do plan. This she said will help guide ones activities for the days and often ensures a good result. While having interaction on the subject of discourse, the project coordinator requested that members give their input on the topic. Layo when asked said postponing is one element of procrastination and that it kill dreams. Another member, Segun Joseph explains that; “The major cause of procrastination is laziness and mostly fear of failure” Click this link now to continue reading - http://www.healtheworldmovementng.org/blog/2019/05/06/beat-procrastination-now/

It is no more new to the global space that Nigerians are making headway in putting the name of their dear nation on the global map and here again, another record-making moment to celebrate. RECENTLY, Nigeria recorded another ‘first’ on the world stage when one of her proud sons became the first African-born inventor of the world accepted system of Government, TUPOCRACY meaning leadership by example. Unlike Democracy, Aristocracy, Oligarchy, Autocracy, Gerontocracy etc, an Akwa Ibom born, Godwin Akpan Amaowoh has registered Nigeria’s international image in golden light with TUPOCRACY to prove that Nigeria is a Country blessed with Super Legends, Stunning Record Breakers, Amazing World Changers and enterprising self-made Change Agents, a little more than one Country could have. Shortly after been inducted into the Nigerian Books of Record in the inventors categories alongside great Nigerian international inventors like the Nigerian-American Philip Emeguali, the Man that invented supercomputers popularly known as the father of the internet, American based Jelani ALIYU, the man who designed the world most expensive Car, the Nigerian – British Alexander Amosu, the inventor of the world most expensive suit and the Nigerian-German base inventor of pinball. Amaowoh’s TUPOCRACY hits the world center stage and took the world by surprise as a number of European countries and commonwealth nations have indicated interest to host Amaowoh all over the world for his invention of TUPOCRACY which Means leadership by example. A day before the induction, the Nigerian Books of Record, NBR had a chat with Amawoh about his expectation for the world acclaim system of Government, TUPOCRACY which has launched into international communities. He spoke about the difficulty he encounters as a black African in getting acceptability from the European nations for his invention. But when he spoke about what he thought of after creating TUPOCRACY, there was an unmistakable optimism in his tone, almost to the point of braggadocio. He said; “I’ve dreamed about the moment they say, ‘and the first African inventor of a world-class system of Government is Godwin Akpan Amaowohfrom Nigeria” and the whole world is drawn to me because of my invention,” Amawoh told the NBR. The Nigerian Books of Record Research Institute, Abuja, has honored the GO of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E. A. Adeboye and inducted him into the Nigerian Books of Record today the first day in the month of April, 2019. Nigerian Books of Record is the official Books of Record of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, conceive by the Institute to drive attitudinal re-orientation, Change Begins With Me Campaign of the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Abuja. Speaking during the induction ceremony at the Redemption Camp, headquarters of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Ogun state, the DG of the Institute, Dr. David David said that the cleric earned the honor on merit. The new DG who came with five NBR delegates, commended the cleric for his hard work, youth empowerment, humanitarian liberation and nation building. ‘Attitudinal re-orientation has for long been recognized as the best way to address the myriad of societal problems confronting the Nigerian society. The challenge of a new Nigeria, therefore, places a big responsibility on all of us as Nigerians to spread the message of value re-orientation and social harmony. We are out to launder the poor image of Nigeria with Nigeria’s best which led to the creation of a National Compendium, Nigerian Books of Record, a unique encyclopedia of Nigerian excellent records.’ He said. While speaking on the need to identify influential and well-respected leaders like Pastor Adeboye who channeled their influence to create positive impact in the lives of their followers, he appealed for all hands to be on deck to launder the international image of Nigeria. ‘We must appreciate and celebrate the good side of our country and that is the essence of Nigerian Books of Record. There is no place on earth we do not have the good and the bad people, but a few Achilles’ heel of some bad eggs is not enough to condemn a nation. Nigeria is a beautiful land and her people are intelligent, full of perseverance and Pastor E. A. Adeboye is one example of a true Nigerian. I think a lot is needed to be done to improve the international image of the country. Given the current technology – driven nature of the global system and the emerging techno – lexicon of globalization, it is equally important to respond positively to such issue of national interest.’ He added. Unlike Guinness Book of Record, Dr. David emphasizes the primary focus of Nigerian Book of Record which is to recognize and immortalize Nigerians who have made remarkable achievements in their chosen professional callings to break the gap between history and achievers in Nigeria. He stated that hardworking, zealous, industrious and selfless minds in the Nigerian societies are celebrated as ethic exemplars. He quickly added that such individuals in Nigerian Books of Record are elevated and positively positioned as role models for future generations to emulate their virtues and accentuates the value system of the Nigerian society. In conclusion, the DG mentioned that the foregoing analogy is the philosophy behind the honoring of the cleric today’ Pastor E. A. Adeboye received and appreciates the honor as a motivation to do more for his nation and humanity in general.

In a bid to boost employment prospects of young people in developing countries, the World Bank and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) have agreed to promote the education, skills and training with a $1 billion in World Bank investments with Generation Unlimited. The investments, according to information available on UNICEF website, are also an important component of the World Bank Group’s Human Capital Project, which is mobilizing countries to deliver more effective investments, especially in young people as a key pathway to jobs in today’s changing world of work. Generation Unlimited, a new global initiative, currently hosted by UNICEF was launched just more than six months ago to help prepare the world’s 1.8 billion young people for the transition to work and engaged citizenship, by connecting secondary-age education and training to employment and entrepreneurship. Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank, Kristalina Georgieva said that a large number of young people are the victims of global education and training crisis and are not equipped to enter the workplace. Without decent jobs and the dignity of work, millions of them will be shut out of global progress toward growth, prosperity and stability. Georgieva said: “As millions of young people enter the workforce in developing countries, it matters to them and to the whole world that they can find decent jobs. “With the right skills and the right opportunities, young people can drive global growth and prosperity, but we cannot take this for granted. We must work together to invest in education, training, jobs and entrepreneurship so they can reach their potential.” UNICEF Executive Director, Henrietta Fore, also said: “Let’s increase investment in young people now, by transforming education systems and scaling up skills training. We need to open up opportunities to the futures of millions of young people. “Through this World Bank and UNICEF collaboration, Generation Unlimited can help support this transformation and create a skilled cohort of young people better prepared to form flourishing economies and peaceful and prosperous societies.” Tribune Online gathered that the core of the partnership is connecting secondary-age education and training to employment and entrepreneurship opportunities so that young people can succeed in a changing world. It was an amazing moment yesterday in Abesan area of Lagos as Heal the world Movement visited some senior citizens of the society (at Agency for the aged) to extend her charitable gestures through food stuff delivery to them. The visit which is one of the Movement’s numerous ways of extending her charitable act to the society and this November edition took place as well as an activity to commemorate the movement’s annual convention. Representing the movement and the Board of Trustees in general, Pastor Damilola Bankole began with a welcome introduction of the team present and proceeded to appreciate some happy looking aged fellows who also reciprocated Pastor Bankole’s pleasantries extended to them. While speaking to these senior citizens of the society, Bankole said the leadership is so elated to have had a longtime relationship with the agency and will love to keep doing the best it can in being a blessing to these aged fellows of the society. In his word. "The leadership greatly appreciates the longtime relationship between the movement and the agency". "We are here to express the love of the leadership towards every member of the agency by bringing these food items to be a blessing to all". While receiving the movement’s warm welcome, the president of the agency (Agency for the aged, Family Ark Mission), Mr Okusanya who also doubles as the son of the late founder (Late Major Mrs Olubunmi Idowu- Okusanya), said he is very happy that an organization like Heal the World Movement deemed it fit to remember the senior citizens of the society despite the neglect of the government in making provision for the aged. "Always keep these ones (the aged) in mind because the government doesn’t have anything in place for them at all. They may have for children, women, widow, and youth but for elderly and from my research from 2014 till now, I have not seen anything". While summating his long but informative speech, Okusanya said we still have to think of what to do concerning them. Continue Reading - https:///2AS2Bpn

BedLam:Honestly I have not been to most of these places but I guess you enjoy the read ![]() |
Walking the aisle and saying 'I do' to your dearest wife might be your first good shot while approaching the one you love on your wedding day but then, considering 'doing' to the end of time with a good feeling on the first few days after your wedding could tell perfectly what clever honeymooners do. A newlywed ‘honey walk to the moon’ is one that should be handled with all touch of excellence no matter the budget in focus. Getting the appropriate destination for your honeymoon should be as important as getting your reception venue and catering for your wedding guests. It could be a struggle for first-time honeymooners but a visit to a professional travel adviser could help you add the required icing to sweeten your memory. Just as I discussed in my recent article on this subject, carefully selecting a choice honeymoon destination is very key to maximizing quality time with your spouse. You don't have to do a random picking but rather, choose based on your preferences and how secluded this place is for both of you. An experienced travel professional will be skilled enough to lead you through this. While choosing a secluded destination for your honeymoon could be very important, I have often advised newlyweds to go for a place where nature is naked (a very natural destination) since this place often helps relax the mind and muscles cleverly. It is one good reason why native Europeans love to see natural features at most world destinations than visiting artificially made attractions. NOT TO PISS SOMEONE OFF. While i know it could possibly be a struggle for first time honeymooners, you can glean from my research here to see some few locations in the world where you can be sure to enjoy a peaceful and secluded moment with the love of your life. 6 World travel destinations for your honeymoon 1. Fiji Islands Fiji islands most suit honeymooners whose desire is to enjoy a paradisiacal destination. In Fiji the morning are as fresh as a nicely sliced lemonade, decorated with the salty fresh feel of the ocean breeze blowing from one end to another without apology. Fiji Island is sure to capture your spouse’s heart when the full picture of what a morning or evening there seem like. You can be so relax to enjoy some good dividend for your money spent. As a matter of fact at the mention of Fiji lots of destination seem to go quiet due to its paradisiacal and royalty feel.
