Lets say theres this big thing going on and your fiance propose to you infront of all of your family and friends and then he kneels down infront of you and pop the question, "baby, may you marry me?" kiss

And than you screamed with joy and said "YES! YES! YESSSS!!!!!!" grin

And all of the sudden, he took out the ring and wear it on your finger and the ring looks soo damn wogly! It was so wogly that you actually felt embarrass to wear it in public!

What will you do? Will you tell him? shocked

If it were me, then I will tell him; this is the guy you are going to get married to, so there shouldn’t be any pretence about things and you should be open with each other.

Yes, he may feel hurt but not too much if you make a joke about it and generally make light of the situation.

Ask him to accompany you to go and pick another one. It's a ring you will wear for a long time so there is no point wearing something you don’t like

On the other hand if you know he is going to be heartbroken & not cope very well with the news if you tell him that you don’t like the ring, then you can tell him that you lost it and hopefully he will replace it; this time making sure that you accompany him to the jewellers.

LOL! U could break his heart over this, cos it might have been a passed down ring from great grand mother. . .lol

I simply won't put on an ugly ring. And in telling him I have to be diplomatic, maybe put it like, "i love the ring so much but it looks ugly on my fingers, my fingers need a prettier ring for it to be beautiful" just a reason to have it off my fingers

1. Even at the risk of killing the surprise, I will carry my fiance along with the choice of engagement ring. At least I should be sure of her taste, desires and expectations as per engagement ring. As harsh as it sounds, if I goof in that choice, then we have a lot of work to do about getting to know each other and settling down as husband and wife.

2. If the babe can not discuss about her opinion about the engagement ring, or if she can not say it in such a manner that will not lead to disagreement, then maybe they should not go ahead to get married without doing more work on their relationship. I said this because she will one day need to discuss (complain or nag) about her sexual needs, family issues, and tons of other things in marriage. So they should be able to communicate dissatisfaction without bringing the other fellow down. The other fellow should also learn to take correction (or criticism) without feeling umloved.

Actually it happened to me, well the ring is not as bad as you explained it but in my situation I asked her later if she liked it cus she is funky about things sometimes and she ask if I still have the receipt maybe we can go together to change it for another one of the same value or less.which we end up changing at the end of the day, So I guess you can tell him in a good way
