In ora lule ni be n o ---> typical greeting [I cant translate it into English tho]

Se ke si --->  Hope nothing is wrong

me a le o ---> I'll get get money [future tense,  being optimistic ]

mi pe o titi, in ke da mi lohun ---> I called you a lot of times, you never answered.




Difference between soe yoruba words and ekiti is that sometimes we tend to replce our "I" with "U".
ex:
Isu --> Usu
Ile ----> Ule
Iwo ---> Uwo


Some other difference: we get rid of the "w" sound

To you   ------> YORUBA; S'iwo                       EKITI: Si o                  [we get rid of the "w" sound]
I will      ------> YORUBA ; ma wa                    EKITI; me a   
Money   ------> YORUBA ; Owo                        EKITI; e o      [ "e" is pronounced as "hey" with the  "re" tone mark]


Also, for "I" is different.  YORUBA----> ma                EKITI ---->  me   [pronounced as "may"]
ex:
I'll come home.             YORUBA; ma wa sIle            EKITI; me a s'ule




The tone and accent also change.
ex:

YORUBA --> ma wa sile  [doh re mi re]
EKITI ------> Me a s'ule  [ doh re mi doh]

"Oko awe" abi "okun awe". . . lol when was the last time you went to Ekiti state? "In ora lule ni be n o" is a greeting you say when you visit someone in their house. "in okun o" is also one of the greetings.

All my family speak at home is Ekiti (5% Yoruba), and they always use "mi".

Anywaz, there used to be a lot of Ekiti nlers, which they could help with this thread cuz I want to learn too.

When do you plan to go home? Visit ekiti and see it yourself. I loff it when I go home. I stayed in lagos for a week and was dying to get to ekiti state (worst week of my stay in Nigeria).

Oh yes, the dam. I used to go there with my aunts, either just for fishing or swimming [not modern swimming o, I no fit do that one]. Which part of Ikun diod you go to? Been to Ilemukun or Ilogbo?
