@ Ibrahim, who is your ISP. (are you in lagos) I have been experiencing the same thing for looong time now. My problem is I cannot access secure sites, which kills my browing xperience, (its crazy) and when I do i have 2 refresh d page 100 times which i never do. I always suspected it was my old laptop, thot it had some worms or malware and shit. but i just changed lappy's and I still have d same problem, and i thot, these mf***ers of an ISP have been messing wit me all these months, I call them and they confirm, they say their backbone has firewalled secure sites cos of spam and shit, i hold maself from cursing d guy/his company, INTERCELLULAR (they the biggest bitches in the ISP game i tell ya.) and i swear i will not renew ma subscription with them wen it xpires soon, dats y I need to find a good enuf replacement ASAP. but that's proving a daunting task.

So in the event that I cannot find a replacement soon enuf and i'm 'forced' 2 renew with the pricks It seems what u'all have been talking bout here might be a way out. So Ibrahim, have u found a way around their firewall. (i still wanna know if it's the same animalistic ISP we use.)

@c0dec and gbengaijot, are you sure this IRC will bypass a ISP (backbone?) firewall, and hope it aint some crazy ass prog dat will clog up ma system.?

@ everyone else knowledgable in the matter, Is there a way out. I cannot afford not to be connected (and not access secure sites), specially at this point in time,

its true that using p2p clients is not illegal, its what u use them for that MAY be and i find mIRC daunting. anyway try dis link. www.http-tunnel.com/html/solutions/http_tunnel/client.asp. it allows u to use sockets server that MAY (repeat,MAY) allow you to bypass firewalls.

HEY NEO, goodness me you solved ma problem, I still cant believe it, that http-tunnel worked like magic. for the FIRST TIME IN LIKE 3/ MONTHS I CAN ACCESS SECURE SITES, WITH ONE CLICK, simply unbelievable, Men, if you were/are a girl i could come give you a kiss right now, (yes, THAT typa kiss if you wanted, BUT only if u were a gurl, so don't get it twisted. lol), and if u a boy, maybe u gat a sis or a female cuz who can collect the kiss on your behalf. haha, omo, thanks anyways, guess that freaking ISP of mine owe you a thank you too, cos u prolly just earned them one more month of income from me.

ROFL like fugging crazy. will trade that kiss for cheese. well glad we gat u sorted.

you can simply use telnet DOS based command to go through specified port that has no firewall restriction, you can even log on to their server at your own risk!

and u need a port sniffer for that. too much wahala.

please i am trying to host a website from my system and anytime someone types my public ip it doesnt seem to acces my site, i asked a few questions and they said my etisalat isp is blocking port 80, i got a port checking tool and it seems they are stupidly blocking all ports, how can i by pass this
