GOODNEWS FOR THOSE AT THE FAIR

I got this mail from their site, www.peopleprime.net. this afternoon and wouldn't mind to share it with you. You can as well download the Fair Presentation materials from the site too.

PEOPLEPRIME GRADUATE RECRUITMENT FAIR

Dear Candidate,

We thank you for participating in the first Nationwide Graduate Recruitment Fair 2007 organized by PeoplePrime at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos on the 26th & 27th of July, 2007.

Indeed it has been a challenging but fulfilling journey since January and now that the Fair itself has been completed, the journey continues.

The career sessions held with all of you on the 26th with the assistance of key HR heads of various companies was a resounding success. It was certainly an investment in your lives.

There were about 2600 candidates and clearly it was an overwhelming day on the 27th for you and the companies.

We apologise that the timeframe may have been insufficient for meaningful discussions with your chosen companies.

We would like to inform you that your profile has been forwarded to all the 18 participating companies and should you be shortlisted by any of them, you will be contacted for further interviews and discussions.

In the event that you are contacted by any of the participating companies, please send us an email at graduatefair2@peopleprime.net to notify us so that we can assist you in the process of getting placed.

Thanks once again for participating and we wish you the best.

Thank you and Regards

PeoplePrime

I just knew that something good is going to come out sooner than we expect. Let's just be optimistic and believe God for the best.

I'd suggest we check their site often, for necessary updates.

See you at the top! cheesy cheesy

Once again, I'll say Kudos to People Prime. May God Bless their Effort.

I just finished downloading all the presentation materials. Check attached for One of them. I think we have nothing to lose but much to gain. People prime have been so supportive and of great encouragement.

Thank you very much for posting this. I tell you it has really brought hope to my troubled soul. I had already concluded the fair to be a Public relations stunt for peopleprime. Thank God they still have us in mind. Every one of us has to keep on believing. I see hope like Obasanjo do say!

Why are Nigerians always so gullible. Is that your idea of being optimistic or positive. There is no changing the fact that that graduate fiar was a fraud, all they are doing now is crisis management. They are only putting in a last ditch effort to save face and there already tattered name. i will hope we begin to get more realistic in our attitude, rather than being harmfully optimistic, it would save most of you from falling prey to such nefarious activites being perpetrated by all these recruitment agencies.

bibiking1 thanks alot. Some of you guys never stop amazing me. They want to help you facilitate your employment, that is total bullshit. Wake up guys.
Re: Letter From Peopleprime by Nobody: 1:11pm On Aug 07, 2007
@bibiking
@mariachi

Sorry if my post offends you, tongue  wink But mind you, It's just for those who see light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a great optimistic fellow and always see the good side of every situation.

Although, I was disppointed too at the act of "submit your CV & Go syndrome ". But I've gone a long way to let such little discouragement weigh me down. wink

Most of US felt greatly disappointed at the outcome of the fair because we thought it warrants AUTOMATIC EMPLOYMENT. Which is never possible.  lipsrsealed

To me, PeoplePrime have played their part in exposing at least some of us to the market world. It's now left for the Companies to act and react well. I'm sure some of us'd be called and offered employments in due season. It's no doubt.

Moreso, I'm sure it's going to be a plus to PeoplePrime  if, peradventure a greater number of us gets employed at the end of it all. Hence, they'd want to give in their best to ensure greater success.

So ma brothers, I'm never deterred by the negative circumstances surrounding me, I look far beyond to greater height. Just Relax and let the sown seed germinate, don't be in a hurry to reap.

If you are a pessimist, keep your ideas to yourself ok, this forum is for people who believe in eachother and hope for a better future. irrespective of the fact that we watch eachother's backs, pls lets encourage ourselves. Look at the other side of it, the money spent, dedication, time, and all stuffs invilved in managing events, it isn't easy. people prime didn’t charge us for anything and it was very optional, fine, stuffs happened but she said it would get better next time. You don’t understand some stuffs in life, those guys that interviewed us are biggies of various companies, some of them well known to me and cannot just be met or seen anyhow and anywhere. GTbank, Access, Oando, and a whole lot actually kept talking to people till late in the evening, they don’t bloody owe us jack, please lets see the bright side and believe we have hope.
People prime deserve a big thank you and I’ll stand any day to defend them because if I knew some of those stuffs I learnt the day b4 the fair, I would have gotten a job long before now.

to the bibiking1 and the mariachis of thethis site,i must tell u peopleprime has done a good job.i have attended anor fair-QED where we had to pay money-2500 and 5000.it was crap.at least people prime organised a seminar where reputable company reps were there to impact knowledge unlike QEd.also we didn't pay a dime -i don't think u know how much muson center cost abi.secondly at QED we had the like of simba motorcycle,chellarams,afrijet,netserve africa,oceanic bank,mayn baker-pls compare with that of peopleprime.even a blind man can spot the difference.nobodt is gonna get u a job except ur father is dangote then u can sit at home and wait for ur employement letter. but for this lagos wey u and me dey so ,u go struggle.Pls if u are pessimists pls and pls don't demoralise people who find hope in this site and in efforts of organizations such as people prime.i learnt a lot i don't know abot anyone els.not like the stuiffs were new,but i cld actually visualise it from anor point of view.pls don't be critics cos they usually stand aside and watch others proper.

Re: Letter From Peopleprime by BHOOKEY(f): 5:44pm On Aug 08, 2007
sorry about all the typos i was in a hurry.(and lastly some of the companies there u wldn't in ur dreams have met with them)if u were smart like me you wld take advantage of the names of company reps that were present and do small man know man.and for those who think its publicity stunt for poeple prime,for it to work in their favour,some of us have to have testimonies that they helped us secure jobs, so in the long run some people wld still benefit from it even though its not u or someone around u,d whole idea is that someelse just keft the labour market and theres more room. :d
Re: Letter From Peopleprime by obanikoro2(m): 5:50pm On Aug 08, 2007
@BHOOKEY

Abeg tell them! some people cant see anytin good in anytin someone else does. Some people have been commending the fair while some have tearing them down and calling them cruel names. Thank u for ur commendation, they need more of u to do such.

Thanks for thanking me.I'm just getting to know you so I never really have it in mind to meet you at the fair but that has changed now.I decided to lie low at the fair for some reasons but I was still able to meet Obanikoro,sallywendu,2 ladies named seyi and yinka.I decided to disregard others who called me at the fair coz the calls and enquiry on the fair was just too much and some guys are misunderstanding the gesture.May be I can call u if I have ur number.

Re: Letter From Peopleprime by Peegee(m): 5:52pm On Aug 09, 2007
I understand why people feel so disappointed about the whole thing. I was there too. I waited till evening only to get in and be told to drop my CV and leave. I was bemused. My only consolation was that I only went in to see if I could check out MTN foundation and MTN was still there. Nonetheless, regardless of whatever one might think of the whole set up, one must never lose hope. We must never get to the point where we become permanently cynical. For us, the cup must always be half full. I just want to correct an impression. Someone said that Peopleprime does not owe us anything. That is funny. I wonder why we went to the fair in the first place. We had real expectations and the least that the organizers could have given us was some measure of fairness. I mean we all deserved an equal opportunity to grab whatever chance was available. We are not naive enough to think that everyone would be recruited at the fair but letting some of us get less face time than others was not right and I do not think that any of us deserves that. And as per not being required to pay anything, my God, have you ever heard of a free dinner grin?
Let's keep things upbeat and optimistic but let's also keep it real cool.
Some of you guys were really sweet at the fair. That was a plus for me personally. I enjoyed meeting you. And if you're wondering,  yes, I was the fat guy in the tight suit.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.
Love kiss,
Peegee.
