It All Makes Sense Now, Nigerians Have Been Duped. by Bliss4Lyfe(f): 10:38am On Jan 06, 2012
I have always wondered why successive government would fund and build refineries in far away Ghana, Niger,Benin, Cameroon and in recent times talks of building refinery in Malaysia etc.

Whilst Nigeria being the number one oil producing state in Africa has no proper functioning refinery, even as the world sixth largest oil producing country.

This has all been because of the subsidies. Rogue government would prefer to build refinery in non significant oil producing African State to refine and sell our subsidies oil for monopoly or oligopoly profit. In essence these corrupt few are the true benefactor/beneficiary of the subsidies program, they put in place.

^Nigeria needs to approach it's development and economic growth route as the only means to attaining an internationally recognized standard of living for its Citizens.

Economic Growth and Development(Industrialisation) not Subsidies. Get creative and productive Nigerians.

Can't stop laughing at your ignorance. You were not wise enough to notice that most of Nigerian loots are invested abroad not just on refineries but everything including stacking raw cash in foreign banks. Does that mean every sector in Nigeria is subsidized?

They are simply scared of losing their investments when Nigerians eventually get wiser.

Can't argue against the highlighted but my topic was focused on the Oil subsidies.
