Bros it is very immature of us as citizens of one and the same country to still be seeing ourselves as thieves or whatever. It is only uncivilised thinking that makes us see ourselves as enemies rather than the brothers that we are. Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, Ibibio, Ijaw, Edo, Hausa, Efik, Tiv, Jukun, Kanuri...whatever ethnic nationality that we hail from, we must learn to see ourselves as brothers from the same fatherland.
idumuose: Thank you very much bro for this revelation.

It's so sad that in this country, a man that was accused of murder and who won a senatorial seat from the confines of a prison wall still has the temerity to vie for governorship of his state. And yet he has a chance to win it. Very laughable, yet sad.

Nigeria needs to get back to its agrarian roots. Agriculture alone has the potential to make us a prosperous nation; food for the average Nigerian should be taken for granted, if we utilise our massive landmass which is almost 100% arable. And then of course there is industrialisation which if vigorously pursued can turn us into an India or China in a short period of time. Oil definitely shouldn't be our only major source of income as is the case at the moment, which is our bane in the country today.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Two Nigerians Arrested In Ghana For Joining Protest March by nigeriandream(m): 4:41pm On Jul 31, 2014
I think it is reasonable to assume that none of the very few Nigerians that are actually wealthy (or indeed anyone connected or related to them) is on this forum right now. In fact, judging the from the spelling errors, substandard grammar and the substance (or the lack thereof) of some of these posts, it is more likely than not that the people making a lot of the foolish comments in response to this sad article are unenlightened, uneducated, unemployed or impoverished (intellectually and financially).

The Ghanaian authorities are cracking down on protesters and Ghanaians are celebrating? You are celebrating the lack of human rights or are you just too stupid to notice that this article contains nothing worth celebrating? And Nigerians, when are we going to stop playing the stupid role of the arrogant pauper? Okay, so Dangote is rich and so it Otedola and a few other guys. How has that changed your life? 1 in 6 black Africans is Nigerian? How is that worthy of a medal?

Stop the foolishness and ignore the idiocy that kept both our nations in poverty. Seriously.

Not sure why Nigerians are carrying Nigerian flags at a protest in Ghana by Ghanaians against the Ghanaian government. With that said, it makes no sense to arrest them. This seems to me like a move motivated by a desire to pander to Ghanaians who openly express their hatred of Nigerians.

Ghana and Nigeria are sadly poor countries. We both have nothing to be proud of. Instead of concentrating on contributing in whichever small way we can to Nation building, we are here hating on eachother. It is lunacy on all fronts.

If this is true, we should rejoice because it is one less source of disgrace to the entire country.
