The last time I checked, both Nigeria and Ghana were developing countries. Still, I'm proud of the strides Nigeria is making, even in the face of all our hurdles.

I'm sure Ghana are recording their own.

Its a sad, sad aspect of Africans. Instead of coming here to celebrate or share, its to tear one another's country down.

Not sure why Nigerians are carrying Nigerian flags at a protest in Ghana by Ghanaians against the Ghanaian government. With that said, it makes no sense to arrest them. This seems to me like a move motivated by a desire to pander to Ghanaians who openly express their hatred of Nigerians.

Ghana and Nigeria are sadly poor countries. We both have nothing to be proud of. Instead of concentrating on contributing in whichever small way we can to Nation building, we are here hating on eachother. It is lunacy on all fronts.

I think it is reasonable to assume that none of the very few Nigerians that are actually wealthy (or indeed anyone connected or related to them) is on this forum right now. In fact, judging the from the spelling errors, substandard grammar and the substance (or the lack thereof) of some of these posts, it is more likely than not that the people making a lot of the foolish comments in response to this sad article are unenlightened, uneducated, unemployed or impoverished (intellectually and financially).

The Ghanaian authorities are cracking down on protesters and Ghanaians are celebrating? You are celebrating the lack of human rights or are you just too stupid to notice that this article contains nothing worth celebrating? And Nigerians, when are we going to stop playing the stupid role of the arrogant pauper? Okay, so Dangote is rich and so it Otedola and a few other guys. How has that changed your life? 1 in 6 black Africans is Nigerian? How is that worthy of a medal?

Stop the foolishness and ignore the idiocy that kept both our nations in poverty. Seriously.

GDP ni, PDP nko?

Let me break thing down to your level, goat.

GDP is the aggregate of the value of goods and services produced within a specific jurisdiction.

So in the case of MUMUgeria, revenues from oil drives your GDP. So with high oil prices, your coiuntry’s GDP will naturally rise, even without you guys lifting a finger!

The the reality of your so-called large GDP is junk!

You know how things are with oil revenues in your sh1thole,right? Your sh1thole is one of the world's most corrupt nations, huh? Answer yes sir, dog.

By the time Goodluck Jonathan, his ape-looking wife Mama Piss, IBB take their share of the so called GDP; OBJ will remove his own; Abdulsalami Abubakar will take his cut; Atiku and Tinubu will take their share, Danjuma will collect his own, even Buhari go collect na; your thieving governors and their officials will take their share, the remainder of your GDP is nothing to write home about!

MUMu by the time the leftover of your so-called large GDP is shared among the rest of you 200 million suffering masses, apes like you won’t even see a kobo

Why do you think its difficult to provide water, electricity, health care, jobs etc etc in your sh1thole?

no wonder your country is made up of foools ruled by ediots grin grin grin your leaders know how gullible you apes are grin all a shitnigerian wants to hear is GDP grin grin grin grin grin grin how realistic that GDP is to their every day life is irrelevant grin grin grin what a bunch of lunatics grin

hahahaha read what Okonjo Iweala the finance minister in that dustbin country said about the power crisis in that cursed country grin

Now back to our comparisons, as of 2013. South Africa has a population of 49 million and electricity consumption per capita (kWh per person) of 4222.46kWh, Egypt with a population of 83.6M has 1383.71kWh, even our neighbours to the west, Ghana with a population of 24.6M has a per capita consumption of 248.33kWh. Meanwhile, Nigeria with a population of 170 million people has a per capita consumption of 103.81kWh. Our per capita electricity consumption is abysmally low and as you can see, there is so much room for improvement in Nigeria
