EducationSecurity Beat Students To Pulp While Others Were Denied Of Their Exams In Unical by Nigeriatrend(op):
The news surrounding University of Calabar recently, is that of the students being denied of their first semester exams.
Firstly it began when the school administration had stopped Final from writing their exams due to school fees challenge.
Nobody actually protested or revolted due to reasons that perhaps they were final year students. They need to pay.
Surprisingly yesterday being workers day most department in the University of Calabar had started their exams for year 2-3 implementing same action, as so many students were denied of their exam, specifically Theatre arts students (300level) were halted at the entrance of the exam Hall for not paying their fees, 60% of those outside we're with their fees ready to pay, but due to the fact that it was (Workers day) banks wasn't open and Data base in school to process printout wasn't also open. Students tried to explain to their lecturers, even showing money as part of readiness so they can go in for the exam as others have been inside writing already for more than 1hour now.
They were not still allowed to write, students started chanting *We no go green o! We no go gree*
Just then a lecturer whom was surpervising exams. called the HOD to tell the situation. Immediately the HOD called the Dean of student affairs. Who came in with External police squad and Unical security that ending up beating Theatre arts students dramatically almost to death and also releasing pepper spray right to the eyes of a girl whom was videoing the whole scene as her phone was also seized.

Unical how far!huh?
Why make learning this tedious for studentshuh
Please someone help arrest this issue as more may probably happen today after yesterday chaos.

Nairaland GeneralOkwudili Reveals Nnamdi Kanu’s Whereabouts by Nigeriatrend(op): 1:11am On Nov 23, 2017
The new acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Ezenachukwu Okwudili, on Tuesday disclosed the whereabouts of Nnamdi Kanu.

Okwudili claimed that the fugitive ex-leader of the pro-Biafra group fled to London using his British passport.

In a broadcast on Radio Biafra, Okwudili said, "Those who benefited from inciting young Igbo youth to violence and death, the time of reckoning has come."

"We are putting an end to blood-shed while continuing with our struggle. Kanu has fled to London using his British passport and he is hiding after our successful takeover of the Radio and IPOB Leadership."

The radio broadcast also accused Law Mefor, the brother of Uche Mefor, Kanu's former deputy, of collecting money from Igbo traders and businessmen as under the pretence of being IPOB's treasurer and converting same into his personal use.

He said, "Those who live by the sword know the final judgment, therefore people like Uche Mefor and his brother Mr Law Mefor along with Emma Powerful, should know that (Continue reading here http://www.suretunez.com/2017/11/okwudili-reveals-nnamdi-kanus.html?m=1
Nairaland GeneralHow To Clean Burnt Pots And Pans by Nigeriatrend(op): 3:16pm On Nov 18, 2017
When foodstuff gets burnt into a pot, you might scrub and scrub yet the burnt food won’t come off. Salt makes these food particles easy to remove. Here’s how to do this;

1) Place the bottom of the pan in cold water immediately to stop the cooking/burning.
2)Fill the pan with water. You want the water to cover the burnt areas. If the entire pan is burnt, you can choose to soak the entire pan or work on the bottom and then go for a second round to get the sides.
3)Add a good amount of salt to the water.
4)Allow the burnt on food to soak in the salt water for an hour.
5)Use a plastic or wooden scraper to remove as much of the loosened food as possible.
6)If the burnt-on food is not coming loose, bring the water to a boil.
7)Turn off the heat and allow the pan to soak with the saltwater in it for an additional 12 hours.
coolBring to a boil a second time to loosen the food further.
9)Use a plastic scraper or wooden spoon to remove as much as possible.

Music/RadioAn Open Letter To Cross River State Government And The Carnival Commission by Nigeriatrend(op): 3:28pm On Jul 04, 2017
AN OPEN LETTER TO CROSS RIVER STATE GOVERNMENT AND THE CARNIVAL COMMISSION.
BY KENNETH BISSONG CHARLES (MONEYBAGZ )...

INTRODUCTION
My name is Kenneth Bissong Charles also known as #Moneybagz. A graduate of theatre and media studies from the prestigious University of Calabar and the organiser/host of the monthly street concert that holds at atekong junction Calabar Hotspot called #freestylefridaywithmoneybagz #FFWMB . I am a native of Ikom local governmrent area in cross river state, Nigeria.and I have spent the last 15 to 17 years of my vibrant youthful life in.calabar, cross river state. I write this letter to address issues, with terminal detrimental and obvious damage lingering and hovering around the entertainment industry in Cross river state. The need for this article had arose since the day, time and year I made a suggestion to some meaningful team players in the cross river state "annual entertainment industry " names withheld!! Nobody ever succeeds in fear and so I decided to make this public because some would faulter me in the nearest future for not making this public when the private didn't work, thus here I come....My undiluted apologies to anybody that may take pain in this piece, for reasons best known to you because like I said earlier,I intend to mention no name(s) here.

AN OVER VIEW OF THE POSSIBLE MARKET.
Cross river state is rich in history as far as this entity called Nigeria is concerned. Starting from being the headquarters of the then southern protectorate, then being the fourth biggest ethnic group in Nigeria after yoruba, hausa and igbo (before the divide and rule that birthed akwaibom, turned brothers into enemies, but that is a story for another day.). The then governor being a well travelled man,saw that the state has a lot to show to the world and decided to to so by rehabilitation, establishments and enforcements of Marina resort, Agbokim waterfalls, obudu cattle ranch, Tinapa calabar and the keep calabar clean and green enforcement and in blink of an eyelid, the whole world was gaming for calabar not only for carnival, but for the aforementioned.

THE SITUATION AND HIDDEN TREASURES
The situation then was super superb and still growing, should I blame the present stagnation on the past IMOKE'S administration or the present AYADE'S administration? Yes/No/Maybe/Maybe not.
With the establishment of the cross river state carnival commission, which I presumed was meant to pave way for check and balances, one can tell the sector has come to stay(applauded )... but then, what can we show for all this other than dancing the streets of calabar and bringing celebrities from all around the world every end of the year, am I against it? Absolutely NO!..The only person I can point out that benefited indigenously from this is SUNNY NEJI,then the big question sets in (who him epp).Nobody!!! Akon, wyclef, fat Joe, young bug, lucky dube etc had mounted the calabar festival stage, took our monies and left, what was our benefits other than clap for them, we pay return tickets for them and their crew members but can't pay home artist even two hundred thousand (2000.000.00) despite the fact that most of this guests artistes are feeding fat tax payers money in Cross River State, why? We give them first class treatments but you won't even allow city boy snap picture with them why, are this not the same celebs who engage in the meet and greet programs in different facets of life? It pains me to see how I get treated out here when they hear I'm a calabar artist, but the reality is I just dey bare name.! How many cross river state home based artistes have their songs on major blogs? Very few! How do you expect them to ,when all they've got is the talent alone and no support?

THE PROBLEM.
This is where most of you would wish you could punch me in the face...I stand for the truth and fear God only. I guess you can now relate to the tattoo on my left hand #OnlyGod...... Dstv doesnt play our local arts after coverage.how can you give this celebs conditions when you have already allowed them to give you conditions?. For the past two years , I haven't mounted the calabar festival stage for standing tall when others piped low but relevance cannot be denied !.. how can you give them conditions when you pencil down p square 5 million naira but go and negotiate with p square to collect 3 million naira, how can you further give them conditions? We see, we complain, we lament and things don't change even in the era of change!
THERE IS MORE TO WHAT MEETS THE EYE (S)..
The calabar festival stage is the most consistent and one of the biggest in the West African coastal region but it is rather sad that it still haven't been able to produce one star for the past 12 years after helping SUNNY NEJI to soar in the international market,why?...
We have welcomed all the hit makers in the music industry in Nigeria, yet Real P cannot secure a track with 2 face idibia and you tell me it's because they sing alike? The first time I listened to Bartender by T pain and Akon,I could barely tell when Akon was singing or when T pain was. We are not asking for 2 face to sign Real P but is a collabo with our Cross River State son too much to ask for especially considering that he (2face Idibia) has been undoubtedly the highest musical beneficiary of the Cross River music festival from its inception till date.
Do you know calabar can produce and flood the Nigeria music scene with indigenous artist with just doing sound collaborations with already known names in the industry?
What does it take? To me #Moneybagz, it could take a lot but To cross river state GOVERNMENT AND THE CARNIVAL COMMISSION, it takes nothing but an agreement as far as the calabar festival is concerned and this artistes all want to be part of it.
How can this work?
THE WAY TO OUR DREAM LAND.
1) Let the state open a standard world class studio and lunch a record label (if necessary).
2) one of the strict condition that should qualify a guest artiste to perform on the festival stage should be a collaboration with one of the indigenous artist as a means of encouraging them. (Moneybagz and Dapro contacted phyno's management for a collabo and we were asked to pay a whooping seven hundred thousand naira (700.000.00) so are you telling me phyno will turn down a show of 3 million because of a collabo? Hell no!
3) Do you know that a thousand downloads of one single hit on iTunes can fetch you a whooping sum of 11 million naira! ? Ho lawd!
4)record the song and put it on iTunes ,shoot a video with the state own equipment and send to mtv and trace Africa the more airplay you get,the more downloads and guess what? The more money you will make......if the government needs me, to throw more light on the above discussed issues, my cellphone number is +2347033384925
