Nigeria27: thats an incorrect way of thinking being to proud to ask for help is something only a fool would do, also democracy does not work in every culture/country especially a terribly country like nigeria. the main problem with democracy is it create a ruleing class and the illusion of accountability when in reality all the civil populous can do is juggle between inadequate leaders in hopes that they choose the less inadequate. nigeria does not need to be to proud and full of it self it needs to make calculated moves in an effort of self-preservation. Nigeria is fighting more then 4 enmanies at the same time (boko haram, domestic sponsors, international sponsors, itself) Mr Nigeria can't ask for help from a Nation when we can solve our own problems, this issues of book haram is somehow political and any day Nigeria wants to get rid of it she will. Let's try to keep this thread clean and use it for the purpose it was created |

Nigeria27: Hey henry what do think about the idea of requesting help from Algeria to help with boko haram even with lets say 1000 troops in the north east this will have the dual effect of helping us with boko haram and answering to francophone pseudo-aggression. also this will boost our relationship with a powerful African millitary almost next door. It will be the biggest disgrace in Nigerian history if Nigeria seek military asistance from Algeria, boko haram still exists cuz we haven't elected a new president yet. |

M14A1: Ak fires 7.62x39mm rounds SCAr H fires 7.62x51mm rounds
You don't expect a gun that fires a ".308" to have the recoil of a pdw
Yet the recoil of the SCAR H cannot be compared to that of an AK. Sentiments aside profess your love for the AKs and stop peddling half truth about the recoil of the SCAR H. Was just saying what I observed from SCAR and BTW I don't like the AKs much and I'm into bullpup guns |
Foreign Affairs › Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by NighttWalker(m): 8:30am On Jan 18, 2015 |
M14A1: I concur with this, same way not many operators Can hit a target accurately at 100m. There are a lot of variables. No need for too much heat, pop into any range with your box of 7.62 and ask for an SCAR H with telescopic optics "x2" and see the magic of a SCAR.
AKs are legendary no doubt SCARs are revolutionary.
N/B: I have extensively played with a SCAR.(it was just the S17, makes me wonder what the Mk17 would do) Scar H MK17 have a lot of recoil and I personally don't like the Scar cuz of its look but on the other hand I think AK-12 or AS VAL should be used by one of our SF since Nigeria like Russian made riffles |

Henry120: F/A-18, F-22 ( the Americans aren't even selling this jet to the Israelis, not to talk of you ), F-35..... okay, you just have to wake up.
The JF-17 is a nice jet, i'm quite delighted with the choice. However, 40 is a no, no for me.
30 is even too much, are we the ones to lift Pakistan out of bankruptcy?
I say we go,
18- 24 JF-17 thunder jets and 8 MIG-29SMT or SU-30.
For a total of 24- 28 jets in all. Like I said I know the US won't sell those jets to us but I just want u guys to have an idea of the kind of jets we should have. And like u said 40 JF-17 is a lot and it would be better to get like 18 - 24 JF-17 and other 4th gen jets. Do u know the block we'll be getting from the Jf-17? Why do u guys prefer Russian made Su's and MIGs to Western Typhoons, Eurofighter, Rafale, Turnado, F -16s or even the Chinese J-10 and J-11? |

DEATHMACHINE: oga na SU sure pass oooooo I prefer US F series to the Su's By the way I think the best jet to be used against insurgency is the A-10 thunderbolt, that jet gave devastating blow to the terrorists in Iraq. A pic of the A-10 thunderbolt, a jet the talibans will never forget

gottfried21: Ugandan Su-30's Uganda has Such 30's?? Uganda have Such 30's??*?? Omg can someone tell me what the fücking hell the Nigerian Air force is doing with crapy J-7 when countries like Uganda has jets like Su-30, if not for this boko haram insurgency we may probably might not have acquired some military hardware and jets we are expecting, I'm not even happy anymore we are getting J-17 thunders, if Uganda should have Su-30s we should be having jets like F-18 hornet, F-22 raptor, Su-35 and Lockhead Martin (F-35). I know the US won't even sale us F-16 but I'm trying to show u guys the kind of 4, 4.5 and 5 gen jets should have in our inventory |

The only thing I can confirm here is the sharks swimming close to the shore sometimes but you get warned to say off the water when a shark is sighted and there's a chopper hovering around the beaches all day for these kind of sightings and only once when a huge snake swim out of the water in one of the beaches here, I've never seen any and probably won't saw it on the news and a friend who goes without me to the beach comes back and tell me what happened, seeing snakes in a mall is total büllshït l, the snake incident was only once and was in a beach. Btw I'll show all my Aussie friends, coursemates and my fav lecturers this thread just to tease some of them that thinks Africa is filled with bushes and wild animals |

Icon4s: No. I don't think so. Look at the map very well, if you u know the map of the FCT well you will know it is not included. Displaying Abuja on that map is just to show the position of Abuja in relation to the affected areas. True but is the seized territory in the map true or false? |

Mine was bad but not that bad, It was first lone travel, got to lag airport with my dad and he wasn't allowed in, I had to go in myself not knowing shït about lag airport as I've never used it before, didn't know how to get to the right hanger for my flight and when I asked one of the airport official for direction he knew I was new there and he charged me $100 saying all first international travelers had to pay it, I wasnt worried as all I wanted was to be where I should be, he took me to get my yellow fever vaccine and there I meet other first time travelers he charged too but he charge them $150 well after taking the vaccine he took us to where we got our luggages checked and then scanned after that he pointed the line we had to follow to get to our flight after the security checks and all, the security officer who checked me gave me his contact and told me to give him a call when I get to Australia that he never had any contact over there just in case someone he knew wanna travel here he'd call me and ask me the procedure, well after everything I was on the plane for like 8hrs till we got to Abu Dhabi and my connecting flight from Abu Dhabi to Sydney is a whole new story |

Don't know much about the MI-35m and Apache but little I know about tank I can tell u that u can't compare T-72 to Abrams as Abrams tank is wayy better but the Russian T-90 is one good tank that can be compared to Abrams |

Henry120: I love the SCAR, it's a really amazing rifle, plus we already use the FN F2000 in Nigeria. As for the FAMAS, it is now outdated. The beryl has a range of 600 meters, that's impressive. FN F2000 and P90 are great guns with good range and awesome firing rate but we have both I don't know if that's enough but I'd like get them maybe HK G36(first pic) get our snipers in NE Barrett M82 (second pic) the SV-96 is good but this is a bad boy and finally take AKs from our police and give them A Kriss Vector (third pic) and I know Kriss vector is a pistol so if u guess its not good enough the can get MP5 (4th pic)
