We are even winning sef if not for these new wave of sponsored bandits in the various forests bordering Nigeria and Niger Republic. These forests combined together with Sambisa are bigger than U.K and a few European countries combined.

Vast uninhabited areas the Nigerian and Niger Government should do something about.

Also sponsorship of these groups are problems Nigeria would definitely overcome.

Grid collapses have been happening for years. Even before Bubu took over. The grid has not been updated since the 1970's and has been 'overloaded' since the 1980's if not earlier due to far too many leaders promising 'electricity for all', without thought for paying for it.

The problem is simple. We don't pay enough for power...because of

1.Low tarrifs. Your power tarrif is kept low for 'the poor' , meanwhile funds raised from tarrifs are not enough to pay for improvements to...well...everything.

2.People not paying for power. (Yes, you can abuse me, but this has been an issue for years. And as for installing meters to solve the problem...people bypass them. All the time.).

At the end of the day, no money means no improvement....means bad power. Government too, who controls the transmisson system....cannot raise enough money to fix the thing, and the DISCOS, which control most of the raising of finances, are hamstrung by the two above reasons.

The solution is simple...allow the DISCOS to set the price, not the government...and people and government and companies who don't pay their bills should pay them regularly.


After all, see the GSM sector. GSM companies can afford to build and expand because they set their own tarrifs, and everyone pays because you cannot use their services otherwise.


A good paper to read on this issue is the PWC paper...Solving the liquidity crunch in the power sector....written in 2018. The page below summarizes what I have been saying.


Short version: The grid collapses because it is old, and because the power sector cannot raise enough funds to fix it.

1.I support solutions like 'breaking up the grid into smaller bits....but at the end, if tarrifs are kept below the cost of production, it won't change a thing.

The national grid collapse is over a month now and everyone seems to be silenced about it. This has never happened in the history of the country before.

Have the APC government charmed all Nigerians to just remain silent or what. I seems not to understand. It seems like an horror movie. Or someone should pls wake me up from this nightmare.

The supporter was heading for Eagle Square, venue of the convention, when he slumped and passed away.

One of those around him said the deceased first complained of dizziness and collapsed thereafter.

Daily Trust correspondent at the scene witnessed as many of the party’s supporters rushed to assist him, but it ended in futility.

The deceased was latter covered and taken away by some persons led by some security operatives

Igbos and Yorubas are over 50 million people each which is far far more than the population of most European and African countries so why is it difficult to negotiate their own countries and control their destiny? Canada is just 36 million.

The Yorubas have a common agenda so why dilute it and make it unachievable by being within the agenda of 150 million of other people?

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has stated that Nigeria is not the only country facing an increase in the cost of living and other economic challenges as other countries are also going through the same issues.

The Minister disclosed this on Friday while speaking in an interview with Channel Television, citing the United Kingdom (UK) and United States of America (USA) as examples.

Fashola said, “I think it is perhaps not helpful to publish that spreadsheet in isolation. What you should do is to compare it with the rest of the world. Tell me anywhere in the world where the cost of living is not rising, whether it is UK, US.
“Just three days ago, CNN was showing a footage of Americans stealing fuel and they would not be stealing it if it was cheap; these are very challenging times globally for the entire world. So this is not an isolated occurrence that affects Nigeria only.
“When Covid happened, we responded and put up an economic sustainability committee, and we cushioned the impact of the difficult times on Nigeria through a suite of measures. And the impact and result is now there for us to see.”

No matter what happens, never allow non Yorubas to tell Yorubas how to get rid of your leaders in Yorubaland. It is an ancient technique of internal colonialism and overthrow of indigenous power structure.

No matter how bad it may seem, the indigenous people must change their own leaders and orchestrate their own revolution. The Fulanis told the Hausas that their Habe kings were corrupt. They joined the Fulanis to destroy their own kings and the Fulanis used that opportunity to take over Hausa civilization and leadership. The Fulanis told Afonja and some Yorubas in Ilorin that Alaafin was corrupt, they used that opportunity to use Afonja as stepping stone to seize Ilorin power structure.

Arabs also used the same technique to seize power in Gibraltar and Iberian peninsula.

Non Yorubas have no right to demand for revolution or leadership changes in Yorubaland. Go back to your ancestral space to ask for such. Let YORUBAS deal with their leaders themselves.

Former presidential aspirant Adamu Garba has withdrawn his court case against the founder/chief executive of Twitter International Company, Jack Dorsey, Igbere TV reports.

Mr Garba tweeted, saying he had asked his lawyers to withdraw the case, adding that the purpose of the lawsuit had been achieved.

The former presidential hopeful had dragged Mr Dorsey before a Federal High Court in Abuja over his alleged sponsorship of the October 2020 #EndSARS protests in Nigeria.

The motion on notice was brought pursuant to order II Rules 1, 2, 3 of the Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules, 2009 and Sections 34(1), 35(1) and 41(1) and 43 of the 1999 Constitution.

Garba had sought for an order stopping the operation of Twitter in any part of Nigeria.

Justice Giwa-Ogunbanjo had adjourned the case until April 22, 2021, for continuation of hearing.
