Only one brand has officially confirmed to launch a new smartphone next week. The company we are talking about is Infinix.

The brand will debut the Infinix Note 12i in India in a few days from now, As per the official teaser page on Flipkart, the handset will be a rebranded version of Infinix Note 12i 2022.

The Infinix Note 12i is set to launch in India on January 25 (Today). The device will likely go official at 12 PM IST.

The Note 12i for India will actually be Note 12i 2022. The handset will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and will draw energy from a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast wired charging.

The phone will measure 7.8mm in thickness and will flaunt a 6.7-inch FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display with a dewdrop notch and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. It will arrive with a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie camera.

The device will boot XOS 12 based on Android 12. Last but not least, it will come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers.

Last year Infinix announced its 180W charging system, it developed a new vapor chamber design and released its first phone with a 200MP camera. The company is kicking off 2023 by focusing on the audio quality of its phones.

Infinix has tapped the experts at JBL for help. The upcoming generation of the Infinix Note series will feature a sound system tuned by JBL. For now we don’t know whether other product lines will get the enhanced audio.

The first Infinix Note phones with JBL sound will hit the market in May. The devices are still in the prototype stage – you can see one if you pass by the JBL exhibit at CES.

Last year Infinix brought its first 5G phone – the aptly named Infinix Zero 5G and now the brand has just announced its successor – the new Infinix Zero 5G 2023. You get a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Infinix announced its 180W Thunder Charge earlier this year, and today a teaser comes to confirm the first phone to have support it.

A video popped up on the company's official AliExpress store and it reveals the Infinix Zero Ultra is on its way. On top of the massively fast charging, it will also have a 200MP main camera with OIS and a 120Hz OLED screen with 2.5D curved edges.

The teaser also confirms a Dimensity 920 chipset, which raises some questions. In theory, the Mediatek chipset has an ISP that supports 20MP + 20MP dual cameras or 108MP single cameras, meaning the 200MP sensor would need a dedicated ISP to be handled. Alternatively we are looking at some upscaling shenanigans without actual support for the high resolution.

The Infinix Zero Ultra will come with 8GB RAM and 256 GB storage, and the teaser clearly reveals a triple camera setup on the back and a single selfie-shooter inside a punch hole.

The listing also says the screen is 6.8” with Full HD+ resolution, and the phone has a USB-C port and room for 2 SIM cards. The battery capacity is most likely 4,500 mAh because that was the capacity of the prototype from June.
