to answer your question, ofcourse no one in their right frame of mind will want to release a person that is more deadly when they are free than if they remain in jail. But now is not just the lebanese people that are dying, the Israeli's are also dying. Its about a month now since this conflict started and its still raging on. It is obvious with the Kuntar guy in prison, Israel is still not at peace.

Excuse my ignorance but isn't Hezbollah asking for the almost 10,000 (arab etc) prisoners that Israel has and not just Kuntar?
