“There is no going back on that resolution. The Comrade Governor is hereby calling on all voters to go out en masse and cast their votes for General Muhammadu Buhari and all APC Candidates in the state in order to effect the much needed change in the leadership of the country” |
........“For the avoidance of doubt, we wish to state categorically clear that EDO STATE is fully in support of General Muhammadu Buhari, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress. The Comrade Governor is unequivocal in his support for the candidature of General Muhammadu Buhari and all the APC candidates in Edo State and across the country. “The Comrade Governor believes very strongly that the election of General Buhari on Saturday March 28, will breathe a new air in the leadership of the country. “The general public is hereby informed to disregard and ignore any of such phony calls and text messages to suggest that the Comrade Governor is supporting President Jonathan. Edo people have clearly resolved and spoken with one voice to vote for General Buhari and other APC candidates on Saturday March 28 and April 11, 2015. |
The Edo State Government on Wednesday said it has uncovered plans by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to clone the voice of the state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, which will then be used to send out messages in support of the PDP presidential candidate, Goodluck Jonathan. In a statement signed by the Special Adviser (Media Affairs) to the Governor, Kassim Afegbua, the state government urged people of the state and across the country to ignore such a message as the governor was solidly behind the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, General Muhammadu Buhari, and indeed all other candidates of the APC. It reads: “It has just come to the attention of government and the All Progressives Congress in Edo State that in show of desperation, the PDP in the State has concluded plans to clone the voice of the Comrade Governor, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, by telling people and especially members of the APC to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan. |

*Calls on Jega to resign immediately By Chuks Okocha in Abuja Ahead of the March 28 Presidential and National Assembly elections, opposition to the planned use of the Smart Card Readers (SCR) has continued as a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) support group, the National Unity Group (NUG) on Monday insisted that the use of the Card Readers is a template to rig the elections in favour of the All Progressives Congress (APC). The group also called on the INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega to resign his office immediately. Addressing a press comference in Abuja, the former Senate President, Ameh Ebute, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Bala Mohammed, the vice national chairman of PDP in the South South, Cairo Ojougboh said that from the outcome of the mock verification exercise of the smart card readers in selected states by the INEC, it became clear that the machines suffer from many technical and operational flaws. Thr NUG said that many questions remain unanswered concerning the use of the machines in a nationwide general election, particularly in an election as significant as the Presidential election. According to the statement read by Cairo Ojuogboh, "Despite the public outcry, Prof. Jega has refused to publish the state by state results of the mock verification exercise. Why has he refused to do so? What is the secret he is afraid to disclose?" He said that the INEC Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega had previously stated categorically that he did not want to experiment with the card readers in the governorship elections in Osun and Ekiti states. "It baffles us that he now wants to experiment with the smart card readers in a Presidential election which is the most important election in the country with far reaching consequences. "What, we may ask, has fundamentally changed between the Osun and Ekiti governorship elections and now to warrant Prof. Jega’s insistence on experimenting with smart card readers in the presidential election? ”Prof. Jega’s insistence on using the smart card readers lends credence to the now widely known plot to manipulate the databank and allot pre- determined number of votes to the All Progressive Congress (APC), announce Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as winner of the presidential election and dare President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to go to court."

Bigger isn't always better for some! Living in an Islamic state, the couple were bound by law not to have sex before marriage. After tying the knot, the couple attempted to consummate their marriage twice but the pain was too much to bare and even medication did not make intercourse easier. By Perez Brisibe UGHELLI—A Niger Delta-based advocacy group, Niger Delta Volunteers for Buhari, NDVB, has urged Nigerians, especially those in the Niger Delta region of the country, to vote for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, whom it described as a symbol of positive change for the country. The group, in a statement by its National Youth Leader, Onoriode Ojarikre, advanced 13 reasons why Gen. Buhari should be supported to become the next president of the country, noting that with his antecedents as former Head of State, Buhari has the ability to stamp out corruption from Nigeria and uphold the rule of law to ensure that democracy and its tenets were clearly observed in the country. He said: “Buhari is a man who has the political clout to position the country ahead of the challenges. We can trust this man to pilot the affairs of this country in a way that would benefit all Nigerians irrespective of ethnicity or religion.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/03/n-delta-group-drums-support-for-buhari/#sthash.tqaV2ntO.dpuf |

The former first lady of Ivory Coast, Simone Gbagbo, was jailed for 20 years for her role in the bloody unrest surrounding an election four years ago, a media report said. The court in Abidjan handed down its verdict after nine hours of deliberation that started Monday, French broadcaster RFI reported. The wife of the former president Laurent Gbagbo undermined state security, Judge Tahirou Dembele said. At the centre of the trial was the unrest in late 2010 and early 2011 afer the presidential elections. At least 3,000 people died in the trouble. Despite losing the election Laurent Gbagbo refused to make way for the winner Alassane Ouattara, who is now head of state. After bloody clashes between supporters of both candidates in Abidjan, Laurent Gbagbo was arrested in April 2011. Shortly afterwards he was sent to the International Criminal Court in The Hague where is awaiting trial for crimes against humanity.
