I honestly believe 3-4-3 formation will never result in a dominating performance especially if opponents have many players in the midfield. We will struggle in the midfield. I see the ideas, it’s quite effective, deadly counterattacks etc, but we won’t control or dictate play against top and mid table teams.

I am really worried. We will get him players, but solely relying on 3-4-3 won’t do us good. Hoping Amorin has other options.

Agreed. Don’t switch. But we are really struggling to move the ball from the back to the forwards. Too many passes at the back with no outlet to the middle and front. Every team will come at us. Also a bit worried about the formation/style, very few managers have used it successfully in England. Maybe Conte, but it’s always defensive.

Not a function of the players at this point. It’s the system. Are the current players fit for the system? I don’t know, but it’s also how we want to implement it. We are playing too compact at the back. We should shift the play away from our half with or without the ball.

This does not make sense sha. We should be on the front foot, not defensive. Yes, the system is new, but we should try to be compact upfront, not give them the chance to be playing us like this.

The formation is really foreign to the team. Let’s hope we get used to it overtime.

Spot on. Loyalty to Utd would have been costly to him. Ronaldo would have won max of 1-2 UCLs in addition to the 2008 one, and probably same for Balon Dor. He made the right move for lots of major trophies annd goals which helped him compete with Messi as well.

I also don’t think it’s fair to say that the whole team is shyte. Yes, ETH signed some bad players, but we can’t write off everyone or almost everyone without seeing what they can do under another manager and system. Heck, Flick is performing wonders with a ‘bum’ Barcelona team. Not like Rafinha and the younglins in that team are above average players.

We might need to sign just a few players to make it work.

The team was better organized, and the players seemed to understand their duties better, and of course they worked harder. When it came to things that require individual IQ like choice of who to pass to and when to pass, or individual skill like passing technique/accuracy or shooting ability, they struggled.

Some of these players are just not good enough. I hope INEOS gets its act together and gets the coach some quality additions.

We bought these players recently. It may be better to see what he can do before going on a spending spree. I guess we can assert that ETH wasted over 500m on bums. But I think the players he bought will come good in a better system bar 2-3 of them.
