I don’t know why what you said is difficult for many people to understand. Chelsea bought over 15 players in less than two seasons, but they are closer to relegation than anyone thinks. If City and Utd swap players today, of course Utd will do well initially, but overtime, performance will drop. It is what it is!

@afrodoc, kindly note that the clubs you believe are debt free are actually not. The owners borrow at holding company’s level and make it seem like the club is not owing. The fact is, lenders have decided to give money to the holding companies because of the quality of their subsidiary companies.

The clubs still owe albeit indirectly. Man City is an example!

You as much as said that being in debt was wonderful and that the Glazers did well buying the club and putting us in debt for the first time in decades. I did not at any point say that being debt free is not a good thing. Yes, I said debt is good because it gets owners to be up and running, lenders will always be on the necks (on behalf of all stakeholders) of the management for performance. We have seen lots of organizations well run because of optimal debt levels. Of course, too much of it is bad!

Again, having a cash rich Arab family or investor as owners does not guarantee success. There are lots of examples. Infact, the American model of business ownership and management has been and will always trump other models.

This kind of deal does not pass the nitrogen test. If the deal does not push the club deeper into debt then it can pass the stringent nitrogen regulations. Debt is good and being debt free is anathematic.

Doc, when did I say being debt free is anathematic? Tbh, I want these guys to sell. Let’s see what a new ownership can do to the club. Interestingly, it can go both ways. Dem new owners can get it right almost immediately, or things become f’ed up the more. It’s not risk free.

Case, Eriksen, Martinez, Anthony. That’s 4 out of 11 starters. We also have Malacia that started well at the beginning of the season. Plus he got 2 players on loan. That’s 7 players in one season. There is no way we can buy 10-15 players in a season. We do an overhaul over 2-3 years not in one year. We can expect to sign another 3-4 players in the summer, which means we would have at least 8 new players playing for united (vs Ole era), plus Bruno, Rashford, Varane, AWB. We have a very good first 11.

We can accept the shitty display this season, but no excuse next season.

ETH is not who we think he is. Maybe with time, he will get there, but he is shitty right now. We are known for nothing except counterattacks that happen sometimes when Bruno is on the pitch. The players are lazy, the ones that are not are just workaholics with no sense.
