UK average tuition/yr(£15k) for Miss Buhari.. VS
ave Price/ bag of rice in last 4yrs of her studies is N12,000.
Exc rate- N450-£1.

£15,000 × 4yrs=£60k(N27m)
VS
N12,000÷£60k(N27m)=2,250.

Miss Buari's sch fees in 4yrs will buy 2,250 bags of rice..

Let assume an average Nigerian consume 1 bag of rice yearly;

Which of these needs to be proscribe?

Nairaland / General / Nigeria Economy 'a Critically Sick Patient, But Left In The Hands Of 3 Amateurs by niyi123456: 9:27am On Sep 23, 2016
Nigeria economy 'a critically sick patient, but left in the hands of 3 health care assistants'. When it's clearly need a team of specialist profs, consultants and senior doctors in the field to diagnose & perform emergency operations.

Who do we blame for the sudden death of the critically sick patient?
1) Is it the hospital management that employed the HCA in place of qualified specialist or
2) The 3 health care assistants or
3) Family members of the patient who happens to elect the hospital management that appoints HCA's to fill the positions of specialist.
4) Should the hospital management wait as usual for another '6 months', after the death of the 'Critically sick patient to carry out a post-mortem examination also known as autopsy, to determine the cause of death.
5) Should the family members of the critically sick patient wait till the imminent and eventual death to determine the cause of death.

You're free to place this words wherever you want;
A. Fed Govt
B. CBN/ Economy& Finance/ Budget & Planning
C. Family members as Nigerians.

Health / Re: Nigerian Doctor Recovers, Discharges From Quarantine by niyi123456: 8:59pm On Aug 16, 2014
This document was recently leaked onto the internet: http://www.thesilveredge.com/pdf/defense-threat-reduction-agency-silver-nanoparticles-neutralize-hemorrhagic-fever-viruses.pdf

It appears to be suppressed evidence of an extremely effective cure for Ebola virus. One that is apparently inexpensive, readily available, and impossible to patent (due to the fact that it’s a natural substance). Regulatory agencies have been trying, to no avail, to have it banned in the US… and it looks like it has already been successfully banned in the EU.

Document Background

In 2008, the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), in conjunction with several other federal agencies, quietly conducted clinical research into the use of silver nanoparticles against Ebola and other hemorrhagic fever viruses. Astonishingly, they discovered that silver were highly effective against these deadly viruses, including the nanoparticles Ebola virus. They later presented their findings to federal health regulators and other national health authorities. But these findings were kept top secret.
The presentation was called “Silver Nanoparticle Neutralization of Hemorrhagic Fever Viruses,” and the gist of the presentation was that silver nanoparticles displayed “powerful neutralizing effects against hemorrhagic fever viruses,” including Arenavirus and Filovirus (i.e., Ebola). This clinical presentation was conducted under the auspices of the DoD’s Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) and the U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction, and the presentation was given by researchers from the Applied Biotechnology Branch, 711th Human Performance Wing of the Air Force Research Laboratory. In other words… those are the big guns! Which is to say that they are the very people responsible for keeping this nation safe from outside threats like bioterrorism. That clinical presentation – made to federal regulators and national health authorities – was later summarized in a printed document, de-classified, and cleared for public release. Nonetheless, there were zero news reports to be found on the release of said information… in spite of the fact that Department of Defense researchers found nano-silver to be profoundly effective against Ebola and other hemorrhagic fever viruses.

Furthermore, it appears that this would not be the first time that the Defense Threat Reduction Agency sponsored research into the use of nano-silver for hemorrhagic fever viruses, and found it to be effective. For example, here’s a study (http://en.youscribe.com/…/interaction-of-silver…) published in the prestigious Journal of Nanobiotechnology in 2010, demonstrating silver’s effectiveness against the Tacaribe virus, a hemorrhagic fever virus nearly identical to Ebola.

Business / Re: GtBank: Funds Transfer From Savings Accounts Suspended by niyi123456: 10:26am On Aug 02, 2012
SKY Bank is the best..
Business / GTB In Desperation To Rip Off Their Customers, Stops Online Trans On Savings A/c by niyi123456: 6:16am On Aug 01, 2012
As effective from 31/07/2012, you can no longer make an online transfer from your GT savings account and l believe this was done with no prior notification. l needed to make an online transaction as l always try to avoid the madness from the banking hall. Ranging from poor customer service to endless hours on the queue, l was alarmed when l login to my online banking and could know longer find my a/c profile in the transfer field. l quickly call the telephone banking team, spoke with a guy called 'Deola' who informed me of this changes "due to 1 or 2 issues with the savings account.

GTB wants all transfers done via current a/c, to enable them charge COT. So my 18yrs old son, a student' now has to pay COT on his transfers to other GTB savings a/c holders. After been charge N100 per ATM withdrawal and N10 per SMS alerts. Then, why are we now subjected to further taxation for withdrawing our hard earned money? Except for Nigeria, I don't think there is anywhere in the world where people are charged such frivolous charges for using the ATM. Also, why on earth will a bank charge N10, or N15 in some cases, per SMS when the cost of sending bulk SMS is about N5? Possibly, an additional source of revenue and typical Nigerian banking convention of reaping where they haven't sown? Or, just levying charges for the fun of it?

l think the CBN Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido does not understand the importance of 'cash' in the system. It is totally unfair to continue to levy all these frivolous charges as if cash transactions are so 'bad' or barbaric which, in my opinion, is what the authorities and the bankers are making us to believe. In most of these developed countries aside from using the ATM or withdrawing cash over the counter, another popular way of withdrawing cash is to make a cash-backed purchase at a retail store which is a service offered to retail customers whereby an amount is added to the total purchase price of a transaction paid by debit card (ATM card) and the customer receives that amount in cash along with the purchase. This further shows how important 'cash' is globally.

A simple solution to attain a cashless system;
1) Make all inter and intra banks transfer free online. Then banks can now apply standard account charges (N500- N1500 per month) for this service, but not COT. This will be fair to all parties involved.
2) Encourage the use of Point of Sale machine for business.

With this fraudulent action from GTB and CBN many dissatisfied customers will start taking their business elsewhere, or keep their cash at home other than to be ripoff by Nigerian banks and CBN. Which nullify the whole essence of Mallam Sanusi Cashless system. l suggest that a fair trading standards and consumers right protection agency be set up to protect the rights and privileges of all. In other to prevent the CBN and bankers do has wish at liberty.
