That's what i call a President who wants to work unlike the
one the zombies dumped on us |
in Nigeria it took one president six months to appoint his
own minister. |
Liberia’s President George Weah on Tuesday made his first appointments lesst han 24 hours after his swearing in on Monday. Seven names made the first batch of appointees , including former Senate Pro- Tempore Gbezohngar Findley , who has been named Minister of Foreign Affairs . Findley , according to local media , is close ally of immediate past President Ellen Johnson- Sirleaf, and staunchly supported Vice- President Joseph Boakai at the initial stage of the campaign period. He reportedly dumped Boakai , who ran for the presidency on the platform of the Unity Party and aligned with Weah , heavily campaigning for him in parts of the country . This fueled speculations that Weah was receiving support from Johnson- Sirleaf, who was recently expelled by the UP for anti - party activities. Maj. - Gen. Daniel Ziankahn was immediately retired as the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Liberia and appointed the Minister of National Defence , subject to Senate confirmation. Ziankahn replaces Brownie Samukai at the defence ministry , which is in the middle of an alleged wasteful spending of “ welfare and supplementary pension benefits” of members of the Armed Forces. Brig. Gen. Prince Johnson takes over from Ziankahn as the new Chief of Staff of the AFL. Weah named Chairman of the now ruling Coalition for Democratic Change, Mr Nathaniel McGill as the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs. Samuel Tweh, a long - time member of the CDC, is to serve as Minister of Finance and Development Planning. Until his appointment , Tweh worked as an economic consultant at the Millennium Challenge Corporation under the Ministry of Finance . president appointed Mr Charles Gibson as Minister of Justice , and Mr Sam Mannah as Press Secretary with immediate effect . Weah has directed that the heads of other government ministries and agencies remain in place until further notice. Meanwhile, some Liberians have urged the new president to honour his promise of holding government officials accountable to the people. Speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN ) in Monrovia, one of the respondents , Saah Clinton, a retired soldier, advised Weah to show courage and do the right thing in the interest of Liberians. “ Although , I am confident in the president’s ability to crack down on corruption as promised in his inaugural speech , it takes a lot of political will and courage to do that . “ The president should carry the masses along in whatever decision he takes against powerful government officials, and the people will stand by him,’’ he said . Weah in his inaugural address renewed his promise to tackle endemic corruption especially in the public service , vowing to prosecute corrupt government officials “ to the full extent of the law ’’. “ As officials of government, it is time to put the interest of our people above our own selfish interests. It is time to be honest with our people “ For those who do not refrain from enriching themselves at the expense of the people, the law will take its course ,’’ the president said . https://punchng.com/president-weah-makes-first- appointments/

I created a trend Ethnic Bigotry In South West in retaliation
to the trend (When Will Ethnic Bigotry In South East End)
but mine was deleted and the Yoruba guy ethnic trend tow
and the Igbo still standing. with this numerous double
standard nairaland will be shutting it self in the leg. |
look at their comment, u will just no that this guys hate the true |
Vanity upon vanity, everything is vanity.
The human body after death. *3 days after death, finger nails begin to fall; *4 days after death, hairs breaks out of the skull and all body hairs fall; *5 days after death, the brain starts to sag, the flesh fades, the buttock, breast, penis, Vagina, will decay (those things that normally drives u into sin, hmmm) *6 days after death, the skin begins to noircir and gradually detach from the bones; *7 days after death, the belly melts and radiates a strong odour beginning with a gaping mouth and a genital organ appealing the marauders; *60 days after death, the whole human body is reduced to nothing bones; -So therefore; Why too much pride? Why too much selfishness? Why too much hate? Why too much jealousy? Why too much evil deeds? Man is a dust and must surely go back to the dust to help the land to be fertile. Do u think that u are the owner of yourself? Why not humble yourself? Why not love your neighbours? Stop those selfish acts? You are only living by God's Grace.

oooduancalmdown: I am very angry with the way some Yoruba people have been opening stupid thread just because they lost the Pdp chairmanship position. I am completely mortified by this madness. First of all, the south west don't need PDP. There is simply no way Atiku and his pdp party will defeat Buhari here. Apart from fayose, tell me which governor in our land is in PDP? Even fayose is now silent. The only reason why Jonathan won 45 percent of this region's vote was because he was the incumbent president. I am very glad a Yoruba man wasn't voted for that position. I was very surprised when some Yoruba ran for that post sef. As for Atiku, not only will he lose the south west, he will also lose the whole North. This is fact!!!! Though I did not vote in the last general election, but I and my family will be voting for buhari in 2019. Please and please, you guys should stop embarrassing us here. The south west will not vote for PDP. As far as I concerned, the party is dead in this region. So alariwo, markfemi and co, you guys should stop opening stupid threads. Yoruba people don't need PDP.) If you wrote this at GUNPOINT, I will forgive you. Else, U are the problem of the Yorubas and Africa at large. It's obvious, u have never traveled out. PLEASE, are you voting COMPETENCE or you are voting PARTY... It's obvious you are only interested in party and not someone with VISION. Let me digress, If you think IGBOS, will vote for Atiku, then you are wrong. They have not forgiven him yet. He has manhandled them in various ways...through ...custom service, abandoned properties...where he displayed tribalism. If you think they will also vote ROCHAS, then you are dreaming. People have gone far beyond your cerebral edition. Wake up from your slumber and vote competently for competent people else we will remain stagnant. U should be ashamed of your write up.
