On 7th of August, I went to checkout out the wardrobe.
It was in the evening because he kept delaying me for a long time. I paid for it and promised to return tommorow. We both met a transporter and agreed time to move it, I returned to his place the next day. He was unteachable, transport wasted.

The day after, I came over. We disassembled the wardrobe alongside the help (a very tedious job with multiple injuries trying to move it down from the 2nd floor which he stays).

An hour or so later, some set of people came in. He was discussing with them, then he pulled me over and started to apologize. He said they had paid him earlier and paid him 40k but were pricing and weren't acting serious. He said the persons wife gave birth and that's why he has been unreachable since.
He said he's in a dilenma because the person paid first but not complete.

Meanwhile he never told me any of this while I had paid and disassembled and moved wardrobe downstairs. They carried it, transport and time wasted.

He apologized and promised to refund the next day. That's were issue started, he kept promising the evening of every day I called him.

Then he stopped returning messages and calls for days. Sent him a text with a different number and he responded instantly.

Would take steps to retrieve my cash this week but just making a disclaimer!

Around February this year, I messaged someone who put some stuff up for sale.
I needed Bed frames and quality mattresses, all totalled 340k.
She runs a declutter sales and would buy people's properties as a whole, move the items to her warehouse to start reselling. She didn't ask me to pay upfront nor requested for part payment even.
We agreed we would meet at the particular address the day she was to move all the items out of the house so that we won't be doing any back and forth pickups. The location is Ago Palace way, while I stay in Ogun state.
I got there that faithful day, we agreed 5PM but she didn't show up until 8PM, she claimed there was traffic. She came with a big lorry to move the items while I was there with my car and some two guys to help with the loading. I was hopeful to pick some more household items too upon inspection.
We entered the house and my guys moved my items into my car while I added a 1000w home theatre, 1 Ox fan, 2 1.5hp inverter Acs and some art frames. At this point the money was about 900k. I did the transfer and while we were set to leave, some persons showed up and impounded our two vehicles.
They said they were OPC guys and they were instructed to do so by the landlord because the man who sold the stuff was owing rent of 2 years plus (above 2.5M). Man decided to sell off his items and disappear. His number was totally out of reach. Landlord said no pin will leave that house. The narratives were beginning to change, as they were beginning to call us his syndicate since we chose to come move the items at night of all possible times.
They were beginning to call on police officers to show up.
I instructed my guys to offload the items while I moved very closer to the woman who bought all the items, at this point she was already crying blood because apparently that money was gone if she won't provide the occupant or pay up his debt. Truly the items in that house was worth 5 to 6M. Crazily enough, the guy who sold the items didn't even leave with his shoes and clothes. I bet he only casually worked out of the house after he received payment because all his personal stuff were there. I close marked the woman side by side while she kept crying. I whispered to her that I needed my refund... but she was hoping I would pity her because of the trouble she just ran into or perhaps because she's a woman. She started telling me how much she had just lost, yada and yada while I kept calling my account details. The days you've been making millions as gains nko?

I don't know who advised her that tears could mess with men, tears wey I don dey see and hear since I was small. If you cry finish, kindly help me send my 915k.

I had to display some "madness" before I could get completely refunded.
Point is, there is no justification leaving there without a complete refund, even if na 10 naira remain.
