Sometimes, one must be mature in mind and confident in life before dealing with a matter that could affect one's social and financial situation, and be prepared to follow through and feel strong enough to stand up to societal or legal scrutiny.

Last year I reported a company director for a 3 year old fraud, knowing that company policy is to report fraud as soon as it is spotted, and I could also lose my job for holding on to the information this long. The reason I waited 3 years is because I did not feel mentally ready to go to war with a director 3 years ago, as political situation was in her favour, but as of last year I felt ready, both mentally and financially to face whatever outcome. My FD in London even begged me not to report that I could get the sack, and he could get the sack also for such a fraud happening under his watch, but I pressed on regardless, key to my preparedness being that I had saved rainy day funds, and had a mountain of further evidence against the director to where my company would be liable to Crown Prosecution service if they backed the Director and came after me.

Never think coming out to report anything is as easy as A or B. There are many factors for someone to consider before deciding to report something. Believe you me, you wouldn't want to be in her shoes when her whole history is dragged out in public domain.
