isnt that pay outrageous? tell me how many legitimate money earners in Nigeria can afford such pay just for a case?
dianyi kwusi imebi aha ndi igbo Sorry, couldn't resist not quoting you! But seriously how is this corruption? Well I don't think it's! We shouldn't see everything as corruption or corrupt practices. He's a professional(SAN) in his field, he was consulted to help do a job which he did on an agreed fee and even won (maybe that's why he's being attacked). Fayose wasn't forced at gun point to ask for his services and pay for such an amount. Fayose had a choice of going for others who probably wld have collected far less than Mike, his choice it was. We were all here too when Buhari hired Legal practitioners to help defend his certificate issue instead of producing it. So wld you call them corrupt too? |

themomentng: On the 13th day of December, 2016, I defeated the EFCC in a judgment delivered by the Honourable Justice Taiwo O Taiwo, sitting at the Federal High Court, Ado Ekiti. In his judgment dated 13th December, 2016, the court ordered the EFCC to immediately defreeze two accounts belonging to Governor Fayose and domiciled with Zenith Bank Plc, which accounts EFCC had, illegally, unconstitutionally, and in a most uncouth and cavalier manner frozen and blocked in Zenith Bank Plc.The court described the action of the EFCC as ‘’illegal, wrongful, unconstitutional and unlawful’’.
The present action of EFCC is clearly calculated to overreach Governor Fayose in the appeal and also to embarrass and intimidate me from defending Governor Fayose. This will never happen. I will continue to defend beleaguered and oppressed Nigerians from the antics and high handedness of publicly funded government institutions that breach their fundamental rights.
It is so shameful and disgusting when we make ourselves a laughing stock before international circles through brazen unconstitutional acts by publicly funded government institutions, just to silent all critical voices of reason and plurality of ideas Since they can't intimidate Fayose Now they feel the best thing is to bully those defending him or those associated with him This government is a pure definition of evil, but power is transient and one day the table wld turn around and I pity people that allows themselves to be used by this government to settle Political differences. |

It was also learnt that after some three days in EFCC detention, the influential Army General was said to have put a call through to Magu to demand the immediate release of his brother-in-law. “With such call from such a powerful person, the Chairman had no option but to ask us to free the suspect, who was already cooperating with us, immediately and unconditionally”, the top official stated. Can the defenders of this government kindly explain the above statement ? A government that shields corrupt officials is said to be fighting corruption

erunz: By Yemi Adebowale
The United States House of Representatives says Nigeria has been cited as the most dangerous place for Christians in the world and that impunity for those responsible for the killing of Christians in the country “seems to be widespread.”
Unfortunately, Nigeria has been cited as the most dangerous place for Christians in the world and impunity for those responsible for the killing of Christians seem to be widespread.
“In fulfillment of your foundation’s mandate to promote democracy, peace and transformational change, I invite you to come to the United States next week to share your views on this matter, including the alleged Islamisation of government under the current administration and the actions your foundation is prepared to take in pursuit of religious freedom.”
The former President also identified impunity as a factor contributing to the recurrence of violence, such as the one in Southern Kaduna. Dear Lord is this a sign already? Freedom at last!!! Funny how these People already know of the Islamisation plan but our own People are yet to see beyond their nose |

[s][quote author=NgeneUkwenu post=53397895]Granted that, protests or demonstrations are given in any democratic setting as a way of registrating displeasure towards an individual, institutions or the governments by the people, in order to cause a reversal of polices or make (in the case of government) to sit up and speed up reforms that will better the lots of the leds. However, it is always a spontaneouse reactions from the very people concerned, and not a teleguided or sponsored demonstration by politicians or ethnic jingoists masquerading as comrads.
Having studied the political and environmental barometer leading to the so called protest, and the actors behind it, I have come to the conclusion, that it is going to be massive flop due to the following reasons:
1. Hijacking Of The Motive Behind The Protest By Opportunist Politicians: When Tuface hinted about the now publicized protest, he clearly stated, it was not targeted at Buhari, nor the Presidency, but to all levels and arms of government, such as LG, State, Federal, The executive, the legislature and the judiciary. But somehow, along the line, some selfish politicians who are either undergoing trials for corruption in different courts or those are lined up to account for their misdeeds, hijacked the motive and turn it to a protest against Buhari and APC. And this is where the protest crumbled before it started..because, you dont expect the President and his supporters to keep quite while a few corrupt elites and misguided youths blackmail him out of office.
2. Fayose: This is a Governor, who was arraigned for stealing Ekiti's state money in his first tenure....A man who wickedly and in conjunction with Obanikoro and Goodluck Jonathan diverted fund meant for the fighting of Boko haram into rigging himself into into power....A Man, that has literally turned a once buoyant Ekiti State to Begging one. If Fayose should join the so called protest, then who are they protesting against?
3. Hypocrisy On The Part Of The Organizers: There is a consensus among Nigerians, that Corruption is the root cause of the present economic mess, that this administration is working hard albeit slowly to adress. And ever since came on saddle, it has been unearthing galore, of major thefts by immediate past administration...many are undergoing trials, some returning Billions in cash and asset, yet Tuface and his backers didnt find it worthy to march against Corruption...
4. Ethnic Divides: Do you remember the famous 2012 Fuel Subsidy Protest? Why the entire Lagos and Kano streets were deserted and fully complied with stay at home order, the South South and East went about their businesses as if nothing was at stake. Their reason, being that their SON Jonathan was at the receiving side and they didnt want to rock the boat. Now, some of them are crying that the Northerners are not interested in the coming PDP sponsored protest. Hypocrites!!!
5: A Protest To NOWhere:
All over the world, protests are staged to achieve a set goal and not Vague and haphazard thoughts like.....we are protesting against The legislature, The Judiciary, The executive etc without a definite actionable demands. In fact the whole thing is now looking like a 1hour musical jamboree being organized Tuface and his sponsors. Marching from National Stadium to Ikeja or Ibadan on white TShirts doesn't signify anything order than physical exercise.
What to expect Monday:
Few Men and women probably in tens or hundreds carrying placards taking a few metres walk in the streets of Ado Ekiti, Portharcourt and Secluded Areas in Lagos and Abuja, and after 1 to 2hrs of trekking to nowhere, everybody retires home.. [/s] Why are you Zombies scared of this 2face protest? You guys also have your own #IStandwithbuhari rally.. .so stick with yours why true patriotic Nigerians #StandwithNigeriaandTuface.
