TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by nma01: 5:52pm On Feb 06, 2018
Hello everyone, applied for UK visa renewal for MIL, got an email with VAF no from Sheffield that it will be assessed soon. And today got an email from TLS: Dear applicant with GWF no, your application has been processed and ready for for collection. My question is, UKVI no longer sends email to say that application has been assessed. Is this a new development or am I just worried for no reason. Please all the gurus in the house, help out. Thank you.

Please don't, I am in the same predicament and I am praying all goes well. I submitted general ielts for ukvi and the requirement says life skills A1 for ukvi. Each test is for different ukvi purpose. Just to be on the safe side, go and do the life skills A1, the next one is In a week. I will advise you to submit the right thing so you can sleep well at night.
Mine is academic ielts nd d scores are good. Thanks for letting me know.

My suggestion is that you call IOM and explain the situation and see how you can get the xray option if you are ok with it, I'd suggest you talk with your doctor about it first.
All the best
Here is the detail for IOM in Lagos

Address:
International Organization for Migration (IOM)
No 5D, Reverend Ogunbiyi Street
Off Oba Akinjobi Way
G.R.A. Ikeja – Lagos.

Tel: +234 (0) 807 219 1112, +234 (0) 80 2226 4059, +234 (0) 90 9215 6079
E-Mail: iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int
Thanks alot, called IOM and was told that they have the double shield protector for the xray. I will go for that option when am ready next month.

newbie715:
Hiya nma01, since the pregnancy has advanced to the end of the second trimester they will offer 2 options: to wear a protective covering and do the xray or to do the sputum test. They will push for the sputum because xray isn't good for pregnant women. The sputum requires the person to go there early in the morning for 3 consecutive morning and spit then the result will be out in 8 weeks.
Thanks @ newbie715, I have a tb test certificate that expired in October. I planning to apply end of next month, so 8 weeks is just too far. What do u suggest?

My wife went to Teleperformance today and she got her spouse visa. I am so happy and I will name those narialanders who stood by me and are now part of my family. And my wife is pregnant as well. Once I am off work, I will give timeline. I can't even eat now. So so happy.

It was meant to be a surprise and was kind of a spontaneous decision, hubby currently sick with Malaria so I told him I have a surprise for him, he felt so much better knowing I'm coming again, bless him.

He lives in Bariga so not too far really I had to tell him as he has to meet me at the airport ...luckily it his days off the date I fly into Lagos, made sure he wasn't working grin

No spending, I'm quite self controlled in shopping environments, luckily not a long stop in Madrid for me to have any exposure to the shops haha.
Have a lovely time in Nigeria. Malaria has nothing on your husband because you are his anti malaria tablet
