plantprincess:Yes I have gotten a solution through personal research. Yeah I will advice having a telegram group. NZ student thread is not active especially to get some urgent advice. However, I have met a wonderful applicant here also through this thread that has been of a great help with exchange views since we are both applicants with similar applications (PhD) |
Please I need help regarding what I can tender as living expense fund for student visa in new Zealand. I plan using my parent pension fund account with a letter from my father supporting me for this. I have gotten different opinions while some said it's tenable and others said I can't. Please it's a little urgent and advice is needed. Anyone who has used a PFA recently for NZ living expenses? |
Am open to connecting and sharing views with any prospective students going to study in NZ next year. I got a PhD admission to Lincoln University (self funding) and looking for any student we could share our journey towards applying for visa. |
peze:Hello, can we connect. I also got a PhD admission although in Lincoln University and intend to apply for visa alongside my wife. For the second question asked. I believe you can find it on INZ website. But from my research and enquiry. You need 20,000NZ$ for your POF which has to be in your account 6 month before applying while your partner needs to show a fund of $NZ4,200 inclusive if your partner is applying for a work visa. You can find the details in the INZ link below https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-zealand-visas/apply-for-a-visa/criteria/special-work-visa-for-partners-of-student-visa-holders?nationality=nationality-NGA&country=residence-NGA |
Hello guys. For showing proof of fund through 6 month bank statement while applying for a PhD in New Zealand. I want to know if I can use a friend as sponsor. Am currently applying and I my friend is willing to sponsor my living expenses while I take up other expenses. How do I best communicate this during visa application to avoid any issues. |
soje1:Hello, am going to Lincoln in February 2023 also for my PhD. I will like to connect with you and most especially learn about your visa processing exercise |
Ticha:Thanks a lot for the guide |
Thanks for the response and Link. Unfortunately, the link isn't available currently. |
I have some few questions. I am currently awaiting my admission offer to Lincoln University and I recently got a feedback from the admission team that my admission offer will be out anytime from now. While awaiting the offer. I want to know from those with self funding experience in New Zealand Universities:- 1. Am I going to provide a Proof of fund using the U.K model where after getting admission, I will enroll for cas with the required amount in my account for a month or I will print out three month history of my bank statement immediately the school offers me the admission. 2. I will also love to know anyone currently applying to Lincoln University or already got an admission and going in February 2023 for either masters or PhD. |
