giselle237:Thank you so very very much. i will adjust the number of days and the amount as well. Thank you very much i appreciate you |
giselle237:Thanks for this. I actually have savings to cover my air fare and my balance can actually cover my trip. The reason why i mentioned the Ajo is because the outflow increases my expenses even though i still have balances left over which have contributed to the savings i have in the account. So in terms of what has changed for me, i am able to articulate that. My sponsor is only covering some expenses. Im personally covering my air fare and the balance in my account is over 8M. I am of course able to prove the contribution as it is the same amount monthly to the same source. My documents all come from the same source as with all my previous applications, I have a letter from work and im using the same salary account as i used in my previous applications as well as my payslips which has also significantly increased since my previous application which was two years ago. I just wanted to understand better how to handle the Ajo portion in my outflows from my account. Also if anyone has a template for the cover letter, please kindly share with me |
Please in my salary account i pay a monthly contribution (Ajo) how do i explain it in my cover letter? Also, does anyone have the template of the cover letter? Please help me |
Also if someone could help me with a template of the letter which i can use to explain my changed circumstances per the last rejection |
jmoore:So if i understand you clearly, in the portion for how much i will be spending personally, i need to put 100 pounds and in the portion for how much my sponsor is spending on my trip i can put the rest? The pictures i attached is the current status of the application @cashmadam

Good Morning All, I am applying for a visit visa for December 20 - January 3rd. My Brother in law is the sponsor and he is the one doing the application. I will be staying with them for the duration of my stay. In the column where it is asked how much i plan to spend personally will it include everything i plan to spend including my sponsor's spend? Also is it ok to state that i personally plan to spend 1500 when i have a balance of 7m in my account? My brother in law is fully sponsoring the trip (including air fare, accommodation etc) Please note i have had two denials prior due to a low bank balance for the first and large deposit the second even though i was partially sponsored. The denials were in 2023 October/November. The large deposit was from a mutual fund i broke to show that i had the funds after the first refusal. Any pointers will be highly appreciated |
Not spending 3 or4 months biko. i cannot can. Thegamingorca: |
Boss calm down ke. Its my first international visa application and i really underestimated it. Now im trying to make sure i do it correctly. From my account statement, i have monthly debits to my investments. I also have a 365 day investment which matures 1st December 2023 which i fixed last year in my organization's microfinance bank. Also my salary account is my organization's microfinance bank so i move money out to my commercial bank account once alert drops. So now i plan to share the following 1 Employment letter 2. Bank statement 3. Investment certificate which shows the maturity date of my investment 4. Letter from my job 5. My sister's bank statement ( Its more than enough to cover my trip) We have reduced the period of the trip to 21 days My question now is, can this suffice or do i need to add a cover letter explaining the errors made in my initial application. Thanks so much btw i am not spending 3 times my disposable income on the trip. the amount they referred to just happened to be the balance in my salary account at the time. This is after moving my expenditure plus investments to different sources. Our salary account in my organization goes to the organization's microfinance bank. As to my circumstances. I work in tech and i have done so for over 10 years. And i have a tech startup as my side hustle. Can i add the documentation for that as well? will it help? Thegamingorca: |
ok we can reduce it to three weeks. My biggest worry is will the change of duration and sponsorship not affect the application? Because frankly i can only do 3 weeks there because of work. Cashmadam: |
My sister filled the form and i was honestly too busy to check it. My work schedule has been crazy plus i have an entire tech startup i am running part time. I literarily had to dash in and out for the biometrics. I just sent bank statements, offer letter, letter from work etc. I work in a publicly quoted company so i thought my offer letter should suffice and also investment lines in bank statements going back to January would work since my sister was sponsoring the trip. I didn't know she selected a partial sponsorship. My siblings are insisting that i reapply. My sister has indicated that she will fully sponsor me (She is on a Tier 2 visa). She has reduced the duration to 1 month and she will add her her account statements etc. I will also add my Fixed deposit certificates but i will not liquidate them into my account because i dont want to have that red flag of parked funds. What i realised is that the case workers check just the account balance and the information filled in the application. They do not go through the bank statements to even see what it contains. I am also thinking of adding a cover letter to share perspective with whoever is handling the process on things we missed in my initial application and what we have done to resolve those issues. Hi everyone. I was refused a UK visa. I attached my employment letter, An introductory letter from my job, the company i work with is listed on the stock exchange. My sister is sponsoring me but she added a partial sponsorship. the response i got is below REASONS FOR REFUSAL NRA v 1.0 You have applied for a visa to visit the UK. In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: of the Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-v-visitorrules), I have considered: • your application • your immigration history The decision • I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2 of Appendix V because: • You state that you wish to travel to the UK for 2 months to visit family. I have considered your application carefully as I recognise the importance of family visits. I also note that your visit is being partially sponsored, however, I have taken into account your own stated circumstances in your home country, the reasons for your visit and your proposed travel arrangements. • In support of your application, you have provided your bank statement, sponsor’s details, and other supporting information. • You state that you are employed with a monthly income of XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. You also personally plan to spend £2000 on your visit. As evidence of your financial circumstances, you have provided a bank statement under your name. I note the closing balance on your statement is XXXXXXXXXX. I am therefore not satisfied that you have sufficient funds to cover all reasonable costs in relation to your visit. This not only undermines the credibility of your application as a whole but causes me to doubt your intention in proposing to travel to the UK. • Given the above, I am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry for a purpose that is permitted under the visitor route and that you will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Your application is refused under paragraph V 4.2 (a) (c) and (e). @ Exchange rate £1 = 984 NGN 10/11/2023 I however have some fixed deposit investments which i plan to add in my reapplication. I didnt think i needed to add it before. Also my sister will be indicating that she will sponsor me fully. Will this help? I also run a business in Nigeria aside from my full time job. Can i add the Fixed Deposit certificates (they are 3) to the application and will this help? I didnt want to liquidate the fixed Deposits because i dont want the large amounts issue. Im actually only going to the UK for 4 weeks (Christmas and New year as i have to be back at work after new Years). And is there anything else i can use to bolster my application. Please help Thanks |
