My Experience with Ozo – Part 2
“Return everything I gave to you in
the past or be my wife.” Ozo said
angrily. I felt bad hearing him say
those words. What a cheap
blackmail! “Will you be returning
the kisses I gave you? Oh yes! You
should return the kisses too!” I
retorted. I asked him for a list of
everything since I couldn’t recall
them (I remembered everything
anyways). I wasn’t worried about
returning the “tokunbo” standing
split unit air-conditioner. My only
fear was the car, I needed it badly.
I was scared he was going to list
it; I prayed that it would be left
out. The PT Cruiser should just be
Ozo’s farewell gift to me (Lol).
Ozo’s story is not fiction, it is real.
And am going to tell the whole truth
since you found the last story
interesting.
At some point, I was afraid that my
‘scheide’ was going to stiffen and
gum-up for not being used at my
age, Ozo was one of those who said
so. What a stupid misconception! I
have never seen someone as narrow-
minded and manipulative as Ozo.
Ozo met my dad once, but dad
wasn’t impressed, even with his
flashy car, very expensive shoes and
wrist watch. There was something
wrong with Ozo, and it was his
attitude! I remembered how Dad
called me at 4am (he does that to all
his children whenever he wants to
tell us something serious that bothers
him) and advised that I tell Ozo to
wait till I finish my NYSC and MSc.
He went on to say that he doesn’t
really like him, but if he’s serious, he
should wait. Dad’s approval was
important to me.
It’s been over one week since I saw
Ozo after the incident with the
elderly woman (I avoided him like a
plaque). We met at a restaurant and
he was happy to see me. I watched
him as he finished the last piece of
the gizzard, wiped his mouth with a
serviette and flossed his teeth
afterwards. (He carried his floss
around, something I found pretty
annoying). He told me how much he
missed me and how we should
hasten up with the marriage plans
(even though I returned the
engagement ring). He kept going on
and on and I waited to hear him
apologize for his attitude towards
that elderly woman, but he never did.
‘Ozo!’ I called him. He sensed the
seriousness in my undertone and
paid attention. “It’s not going to
work. You and I.” I paused, then
continued “my father said…” Ozo
didn’t allow me to finish, he cut me
short in anger. “Papa lo que? No me
importa! wer bist du? Ich bekomme
immer was ich will. Du kannst mir
nicht verlassen! Du willst mir
verlassen wegen die stinken frau!
Keine chance! Keine chance Sochi!
(Your father what? I don’t care! Who
are you? I always get what I want.
You cannot leave me! You want to
leave me because of the smelly
woman! No chance Sochi! No
chance!).” Ozo screamed as he
banged on the table and stood up.
He was furious. He cussed me out in
Spanish and later switched to
Deutsch (Ozo speaks the two
languages fluently and I admired that
about him, never knew that one day,
he would cuss me using them)
In my heart, I knew “I don enter one
chance.” I was shocked and
embarrassed as people stared at us.
I managed to utter two words as I
inflected my already cracked and
shaky voice to suit my fake accent,
“Eres feo” (You are ugly); the only
Spanish I could remember that
moment, and it was Ozo who thought
me that. I stood up, and walked
away.
Four days later, I couldn’t stop
thinking of how Ozo embarrassed me
at the restaurant. I got more than 67
missed calls from him (he’s that
crazy). I ignored his calls and text
messages, but the one that got me
was the text message where he had
said I should return everything he
gave to me. He pleaded with my
elder brother Chikezie (real name) to
convince me to take his calls which I
agreed after much pestering from my
brother. Chike took sides with him
because he knew how the switches in
my head can touch sometimes (Lol).
Ozo called around 9pm. This time, I
picked his call. “Hola , buenas
noches” I said quietly while I
struggled with my Spanish accent. (I
had enrolled for a Spanish lesson
way before Ozo came into my life. I
love Espanol ‘Spanish’ and Français).
Ozo was glad to hear my voice from
the tone of his voice: “mi esposa, te
extrano mi-amor. (My wife, I miss
you my love).” I hissed. It was one of
those reflex actions that occurred
whenever I felt irritated, but I wasn’t
bothered. Then I asked him to speak
eihter in English or Igbo. “Of course”,
he said. Ozo chose Igbo. I knew he
would ask for the things he gave to
me in the past, but he didn’t. He told
me that he called an agent to get
tickets for us (3 months after I met
Ozo, he had asked me of countries I
would love to travel to. I mentioned
Brazil, it has one of the most
beautiful cities, Rio de Janeiro and I
was once addicted to their music and
movies. France was another country,
it seems classy and perfect!). I
prayed in my heart that Ozo would
mention Harare, Zimbabwe or even
Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the
Congo. If it was going to be any of
these countries, then saying ‘no’
would be so easy (Lol). Ozo didn’t
ask of his gifts again, ‘he must be
bipolar’ I thought. My heart was
beating so fast. Which girl in her right
state of mind would want to miss
such an opportunity?
Dear lovers, all that glitters is not
gold!!! Be contented with whatever
you have. To be continued. Source__ http://sochimaezeoke.com/

Celebrities / My Experience With Ozo- Nollywood Beauty Shares True Story. by NollyGist: 3:36pm On Oct 13, 2016
MY EXPERIENCE WITH OZO.
Yes it is June! The sixth month of the
year and you don’t need to do the
counting, and this is the month my
experience with Ozo started.
Last week, I went to see a movie
with a friend of mine. At the movie,
we discussed about so many things,
and along the line he said: “Sochi,
money should humble people; the
wealthy in our society are suppose to
be the most down to earth, but
instead they are the most arrogant
and self centered.” I listened to this
rich guy lecture me on humility, and
then I had a flashback:
Ozo (not his real name), a tall and
dark handsome young man that came
to seek for my hand in marriage.
He’s rich and proud – I didn’t know
how he came to be that; money I
guess. On one of those occasions we
used to take a ride round town, Ozo
asked his driver to slow down close
to a wooden provision kiosk. When
the driver did, he beckoned on an
elderly woman that was selling
different things that had little or
nothing to do with provisions. She
hurriedly came to the car smiling as
she greeted us. Just immediately, Ozo
said to the driver: ‘nwokem bupu
moto a ebea ososo!’ (Move this car
out of this place now), without even
responding to woman’s greeting.
Ozo’s attitude reeks of pride and
arrogance! I was exasperated by his
attitude; how he treated that poor
woman and left her standing there
confused while we drove off. In my
small imperious voice I asked him
why he did that, then I listened to
this selfish guy rant like a pregnant
woman. How dirty the woman was,
how she smelt, how wrinkled her
hands looked and how he hated old
women. Unbelievable! I wanted to
remind him that his mother was old
and wrinkled too, but decided to
leave the innocent woman out. At
that moment, I erased the nightmare
of getting married to the American
‘Lil Wayne’.
Did I mention that all hell was let
loose the day I misplaced his
diamond earring? I told him to get
rid of it if he was to see my father,
then I couldn’t remember where I
dropped it. Those days I would drop
things with my left hand and
completely forget where I dropped
them. He kept on reminding me of
how much the diamond cost and how
it could feed me for a long time.
Well, it’s possible, I don’t eat that
much. Thank God I later found it.
Ozo hates poor, old, and the-not-so-
beautiful (in his words) people. He
treated people with so much disdain.
You can imagine.
I could remember uttering words that
shocked and left his face thin
instantly and the look on his face
was epic! Then I realized Ozo wasn’t
that handsome, just like the-not-so-
beautiful ones (Lol). What was I
thinking?
The point am trying to make is when
God lifts you up, humility should be
your watch word. Never look down
on anyone. Once you die, it doesn’t
matter who you were on earth- rich
or pauper. The only thing that
matters is, whether you lived for
Christ (Mark 1:14-15; 2 Corinthians
5:15). According to the scriptures;
that which is highly esteemed among
men is an abomination in the sight of
God. (Luke 16:15).
Happy new month lovers, let your
June be filled with blessings and
don’t forget to always be humble no
matter who you are!
-Sochima Ezeoke
