I'd go with Note 5. Even if Redmi Note 5 has better specs, the difference isn't that overwhelming.

Both of them would most likely have issues in the course of my 1 year of use coz i damage phones easily and i'd rather have my carlcare closeby.

Those days we use 2 batteries before 6PM because press press without stoppage. After free WiFi neighbor moved in, suddenly one battery is reaching 4PM, sometimes 5PM. Discovered the network just makes the phone warm. Same phone was now running cool after hours of pressing. Omo when i upgraded to android, my BB became a hotspot fone and later android became the hotspot phone Paired with MTN MB cheat of course, those were the good old days

Seems like it's not the case in Lagos, everywhere has good network and all

Can't live without 4G. Also can't kill my battery with mobile data.... haven't used mobile data since 2014. I'm team MiFi/small phone for hotspot.

When i discovered the difference between using mobile data and running miFi especially with bad network areas like south south, i stopped using mobile data.

The catch is that phones with 2GB ram don't need to run on Android Go edition but 1GB ram phones do.

I wish someone could do ram management test to find it if the difference is so so much.

Battery is all good. Part of what makes the Nokia 2 amazing.

Ever heard of Android Oreo Go Edition? 1GB ram can handle 2 social media apps at the same time(splitscreen) so how won't you be able to leave your video/chat app to attend to another lite app?

If you're running a game and then you want to leave to go and do other stuff, even 2GB ram isn't enough. Games just close to optimize battery.

Running games while running anything else at the same time is what kills battery the most.

Nokia 2 is an amazing phone for its price but like Spark 2, they cut a lot of corners to keep price down.

1. 5 inch HD display with oldschool 2D glass. the upside, it's gorilla glass 3.

2. The cheapest snapdragon chipset, the upside is it's snapdragon and costs more than MTK 6580.

3. 8GB internal storage, upside being keeping the price down.

4. 1GB RAM, upside to keep price down

4. 8+5MP camera, again price as the upside.

5. Design, the biggest downside for me coz it looks like this

Most times it's not about price. It's about quality of the components.

To keep price down, some brands have to use the cheapest display and MTK but Nokia even took it far by making it look like s40 phone in size and deisgn.
That's not really an option for people who want to bring out their phone in public gatherings.

1. 720P, a resolution that is outdated for flagships but very in with low end phones and even some midrange phones in 2018. See Samsung J7 Duo, Nokia 2.1, Sony Xperia L2, LG K10

2. All midrange-low end phones don't get the best cameras a brand has to offer. Based on how good the camera samples are, i would just it's more than fair.

3. Outdated Processor. Can't fault this one, that processor is old af! again if any phone could pull it off it would be a low end one.

4. Very low ram. There's a 2GB variant so no brainer there, if 1GB is too small for you, get 2GB. Nokia 2.1 and Nokia 1 with 1GB ram don't even have 2GB options.

5. Design could be better than a flagship, wrong! This is the best looking 36K phone on the market both for the front and back.

6. Fingerprint Magnet. It's a con of most 2018 flagships. S9/S9+/OnePlus/LG G7thinQ/HTC U12+ are all glass backs and attract crazy fingerprints. This even comes with a cool case to prevent it. Makes sense.

24K phone with 4G that looks like palasa. Have you seen the screen of that phone. Looks like something someone poured powder on. 4G/LTE on a display that is bad for your eyes in 2018?. If you want something sexy you can manage to bring out in public but you're not heavy on data, this would be your best bet. People wey get MiFi no send all these ones sef.

I will admit that 1Gb ram is low now but are you ppl blind it has a 2Gb ram variant and that's OK

And the 4G you ppl desperately claim is not yet a major factor in Nigeria.4G is cool yes,but there's nothing wrong with 3G it is also fast
