ARTICLE SOURCE: https://explorenonnie..com.ng/2017/07/Magnetic-flier.html (Visit for more details) Has this ever happened to you? You designed and printed a beautiful business flier. Then you hired some people to share it. May be you even shared it yourself. Then later, while walking on the street, you saw your flier littered all over the place. The worst part: Only few people contacted you. Or maybe nobody contacted at all. Why does this happen? Is it because your flier is not fine enough? Hmm… I doubt. Let me ask you: when was the last time you bought from a business just because of how fine their flier was? I doubt you ever have. Your potential customers behave the same way too. Or is it because it’s not unique enough? Well, how many fliers from different businesses have you ever seen that look exactly the same? How many look similar? I doubt you even notice. And even when you notice, does that move you to buy? If you don’t patronize businesses just because of the uniqueness of their flier, what makes you think your potential customers will be any different? So no. uniqueness is NOT the problem. They are refusing to contact you because your flier is NOT MAGNETIC. What is a MAGNETIC flier? A magnetic flier is a kind of flier that… 1. Attracts your potential customers like magnet 2. Holds their interest like glue 3. Make them desire what you are selling and 4. Move them to hand you their money It has nothing to do with the beauty or uniqueness of your flier – although that helps. It’s all about the choice of words and how they make your potential customers feel: about what you say and how you say it. And contrary to popular believe, Nigerians ACTUALLY read. But not anything. They ONLY read stuffs that matter to them. Think back at that long Facebook post you read or that interesting news article on naij.com. It’s the same with everyone else, including your potential customers. What does that means for your business? It means that NOT everybody will read your MAGNETIC flier. But those who need, want or desire what you offer (your potential customers) will read it – and act. And they’re the ones that really matter. Aren’t they? Here are some examples… PLEASE NOTE: you will not find this concept anywhere else because it’s my discovery. I stumbled on it in the course of my 10 years study (and experience) in customer psychology, persuasive writing, marketing and sales. I want to design MAGNETIC flier for 5 lucky nairalanders. The first 5 people to indicate interest wins. And here are my terms and conditions: 1. I will have the right to put it in my portfolio and showcase it anywhere I like 2. If I have a paid job at hand, I will do it first before coming back to your own 3. It’s first come first serve. The first 5 people to give me the necessary information I need are the actual winners. So if you contact me first but someone else sends in their details before you, I will do for that person before you These are the information I need: 1. Basic information; like…. - Business name - Owner (or manager… or MD… or CEO) name - Phone number and email - Website - Etc 2. Tell me about your business e.g. - What business are you into - What makes your business different from other businesses like yours (in your opinion) - How long have you been in business? - How many customers have you served (estimate)? - (In one sentence) why should a potential customer buy from you instead of buying from someone else (or doing nothing)? 3. Tell me about your products/services If you sell physical/digital goods: - What (and what) do you sell? - Where do you source your products from? - Are they brand new or fairly used? - Are they high quality, medium quality or low quality? - In what country are they made? - E.t.c If you sell services: - What services do you offer - Where and how did you acquire your skills? - How long did it take you to acquire your skills? - How many years experience do you now have? - How many customers/clients have you served? (estimate) - Do other experts work with you? Tell me about them. The more you tell, the better. - E.t.c Also… - Send me pictures of your company symbols e.g. logos, founders face etc. - Has any prominent person(s) or company(ies) ever patronized you? - What are the calibers of customers that have patronized you (e.g. diasporans, prominent personalities, professionals’ e.t.c.) - Have you won any awards? Tell me about them. - Any other thing I should know? PLEASE NOTE: 1. Be as honest with your answers as possible. The more honest you are, the more MAGNETIC your flier will be 2. Please feel free to skip the answers you can’t answer. But realize that, the more answers you give, the more MAGNETIC your fliers will be HIRE ME NOW! If you will like me to create a MAGNETIC flier for you, please PM me for more details. Here are… 2 ways you can use your MAGNETIC flier. 1. Share it in you your social network. For this, you can use the JPEG or PNG version. 2. Print and share it. For this, you need the coral draw version. Just give it to the printer. They know what to do. And in case you don’t know any printing company, there are some good ones online like printivo, instant print and eloquent touch media. And if you are not sure of how to use these media, I can help you order through printivo. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks guys for all your advice. But i think i found one today that works just fine. It's mCASH. It's new. It's not even an integration. It's just a mobile payment solution. All I will do is give them my seller code. Then they will type. *402*seller code (my code)*amount# Then they choose their bank. choose their code and click send. Then i get alert immediately. The best part is that it works with all phones, network and bank. I'm excited about it because even a JJC in Internet and tech stuffs can use it. What do you guys think? |

mock was a good idea. |
After reprint, what next? Final preparation. And that will be computer. If you read all the book in this world and fail to answer JAMB questions on that day, then you wasted your time. Right now, what you need is a JAMB training software that will make you 100% prepared for the exam. I talked more about it here... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html |
Bincon:I use blogger. here is my site... smoothadmission..com Here is the page I want to use it on... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html Thanks guys for your response so far. I really appreciate it. |
canalily:No o. Almost every year, admission statistics is usually between 400,000 - 500,000. Let me give you some statistics... Last year (2016): 1,589,175 people applied for JAMB. Only 444,969 got admission. In 2015:1,475,477 people applied. Only 442,643 got. In 2014: 1,606,753 applied. Only 401,688 got it. I got that stat from this article... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html And the article writer got it from the National Bureau of Statistics. |
For JAMBites who missed the mock. I advice you to get any CBT training software and practice. It will give you the same experience your colleagues got yesterday. You may want to consider this one... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html |
Agbafs2005:700,000 ke? I doubt if it will be up to. Highest Five hundred and something thousand. |
For those of you who couldn't write the mock, you can still experience first hand, what JAMB CBT looks - and feels - like. This article tells you more... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html |
Blue3k:Wow! I watched that video. It's so very true. Giving favoritism treatment to a group or person because they are perceived as disadvantaged doesn't help the person. Instead, it continues to make the person disadvantaged. It's a psychological thing. |
How does connection work for candidates who are not from the school catchment area or from an educationally disadvantaged state? Remember what I said about NOT coming from a school's catchment area or educationally disadvantaged states and how it affects your connections? Your chances get lowered… but there is still hope. You see! Most schools easily fill up their slots for merit and catchment. While many slots for disadvantaged states remain vacant. No enough qualified candidate. The school is free to give this slot to anybody – provided they pass the school cut-off. |
Another tip is to practice CBT mock. This one may be the most important. Just one day of mock exam, and everybody is learning so much. Imagine writing mock 10x more before the exam. How will that increase your confidence and score? There is this article that will show you how to write more mock... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html |
zeenab:You can still experience mock. See this article to find out how... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-dramatically-increase-your.html |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-federal-character-principle-is.html There is a better way to bridge the gap. The government can follow these steps… STEP #1: Level the playing field. Give everybody equal opportunity. That way, any candidate that gets admission knows that she earned it. Those who didn’t get, accepts it and works harder. STEP #2: Run an effective enlightenment campaign in the Educationally Disadvantaged states. The problem of educational disadvantage – or advantage – is not physical. Neither is it political. So constitution is not the solution. The problem is cultural and psychological. Hence, that’s where the solution lies. The more people from these states begin to see the value, the more the seek it. It’s that simple. STEP #3: More “quality” primary and secondary schools should be built in these states. Quality, in this context, refers to a school that has been kitted with facilities and professionals so that real learning can take place. Primary and secondary education is the basics. A child who gets quality basic education is likely to seek tertiary education. STEP #4: Incentives Some state governors are trying in this respect. They share food for pupils. But they need to monitor, measure and ensure that the incentives are working. If they are not, they should modify or change it. Rinse and repeat until they find the one that works. Why is this issue very important? You See! Nigeria’s existence is constantly under threat. Who knows the last straw that will break the camel’s back? So instead of just adding more straw, why don’t we start removing some? This issue may just be one of such straws. So over to you guys. What other way can this problem be tacked? |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-federal-character-principle-is.html On the other hand, people from the “educationally disadvantaged” states often feel haunted by all these. Imagine that you are occupying a position you didn’t feel you really earned. May be you got it because of where you came from. May be it’s through connection. How do you feel each time you remember that. For many of these students, they can develop inferiority complex and depression. They feel they can’t measure up intellectually. Some even feel they don’t deserve it. How will this feeling affect this person when he leaves school, gets work and start a family? Nobody gains from all these and what affects one affects all – directly or indirectly. But… |
Government is also ready. I will post it shortly. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html How does admission through connection work? Connection can never get you into the merit list. But it can get you into the list for catchment and educationally less advantaged states. You see! Every top university staff (the VCs, Deans, HODs e.t.c.) get free slots that they can give to anybody. Some get 10; some 20; some 5; some even 1. So if your uncle is a HOD, for example, and has 10 slots; it means he can bring 10 names. And your name could be one of them. But you must pass the school cut-off. Also, if the school is NOT your catchment area and you are not from an educationally disadvantaged state, the chances that your uncles connect will get you admission gets lowered. More on this shortly. Some of these staffs don’t have close relatives to give their slots to. So they sell it. That’s why somebody can pay N500,000 for admission and get it. |
The worst part is that it has caused more problems than it solves. It often makes candidates from the “educationally advantaged” states feel unfairly and unjustly treated. This leads to resentment. During my pre-degree days, I had a friend from Imo state that chose Physics in ABU Zaria. They were 18 that wrote the post UTME. He scored 223. He was the highest. The second highest was 117. But guess what? Everybody got admission except him. He was the only southerner. He has been resentful ever since. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html Every school has their preferred statistical formula for ensuring that they follow this guideline. Some schools, like UNILAG, will note the total number, states of origin and scores of prospective candidates in each department. Then they will note the available slots. Next, they use statistical calculations to come up with the cut-off for each state. Other schools, like FUTO, will release 2 or 3 lists. First list for merit candidates.Second and third list for both catchment and disadvantaged states. But… |
@Loved21 Here is Physics... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/jamb-2017-syllabus-physics.html |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-federal-character-principle-is.html The idea was to close the education gap among states. 25 years later, the gap is still wide. So imagine 20% x the whole government owned universities and polytechnics in Nigeria. That’s too much and does no one any good. Not the so called disadvantaged states. Not the “advantaged”. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-federal-character-principle-is.html The only thing it has achieved is to create a feeling of injustice and unfairness in one hand and a feeling of inferiority on the other. I’m most active in the education industry. So let me use that industry to picture it for you. During admission, every government owned university and polytechnic consider your state of origin before giving you admission. They allocate 20% of the whole admission to candidates from certain states – most of them Northern. They call these states educationally disadvantaged states. |
Article Source: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-federal-character-principle-is.html While making research for my latest article (you can see it here… http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html ), I dug up a lot of awful secrets: secrets that could be a component part of a ticking time bomb. I discovered the danger and absurdity of the Nigerian Federal character. Definition: Federal Character Principle is a principle in the Nigerian Constitution that tries to give every part of Nigeria a sense of belonging and fairness by giving less developed (or disadvantaged) states special considerations when sharing national resources. The principle, “giving every part of Nigeria a sense of belonging and fairness” is good. But the practice, “giving less developed (or less advanced) states special consideration when sharing national resources” is where the danger is hiding. It defeats the purpose. |
enustu:Your submission is on point but in the long run, it will not help the country. How many people who study abroad ever comeback to apply their skill in Nigeria. While I will advice anybody who can to get good tertiary education anywhere she can - Nigeria or abroad. I think the Nigerian government need to wake up and take education seriously. It's very important. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html They follow a guideline in the Nigerian constitution – the federal character. Based on that law, they divide their admission slot into 3 categories. - 45% for merit list. In this category, your state of origin doesn’t matter. You will get admission based purely on your performance. The highest scores get the slots. - 35% for catchment area - 20% for educationally less advantaged states So if for example, UNIBEN has slots for 5,000 candidates this year, they will divide the 5,000 accordingly. - 2,250 candidate will be admitted on merit - 1,750 should get admission based on catchment area and - 1,000 slots will be reserved for candidates from educationally less advantaged states. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html How do Government Universities and Polytechnics give admission? Most people believe that government universities and polytechnics give admission the way they like. But they don’t. |
ARTICLE SOURCE: http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/04/how-to-legitimately-increase-your.html Some of these universities are… - University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) - Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB) - The federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) - University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) - University of Ibadan (UI) - Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) - The federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi (FUAM) Another way your state affects your chances is through what they call… |
