It’s no more news: you need JAMB profile to register for JAMB. But...

What is JAMB profile?

JAMB profile is another name for JAMB account.

Just like you need a Facebook account to Facebook... and whatsapp account to chat on whatsapp; you need a JAMB account (aka JAMB profile) to register for JAMB.

Beyond just registration, you will also need your JAMB profile to...

- Check your JAMB result
- Print your admission status
- Check if you’ve been admitted or not

And much more...

If you’re writing WAEC or NECO... or NABTEB this year, you will also need it, when your WAEC (or NECO or NABTEB) comes out, to tell JAMB what you scored.

If another school that you didn’t put during registration gives you admission, you will need your profile to let JAMB know.

In fact, you need JAMB profile to manage anything that concerns your school admission.

It’s that important.

So keep your log-in details (email and password) safe.

Make sure your email continues working.

It may come in handy if you forget your JAMB profile password or need to change it.

The Steps

Below is a step-by-step guide with descriptive pictures on how to create your own JAMB profile with your smart phone or your computer.

To create your profile you need to have a working email. You can open one at Yahomail or gmail.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

PLEASE NOTE:I'm currently working on an article that clearly shows you how to open yours own email with your phone or computer. By today, tomorrow or next, it should be ready.

So I advice you: Join our Facebook Group or e-mail list.

That way, you will get notified immediately I publish it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you've done that...

Go to jamb portal jamb.org.ng. If you're using a computer, the site looks like this...

If you're using a phone, it will look like this...

Click on the "Click to Log in" button. You will see it on the top right corner of the site. It's in green. You will be taken to this page...

Click the "Create Account" button.

You will be taken to the next page. It looks like this...

Fill in the necessary details:

In the "e-Mail Address" section type your working email.
In the "Confirm e-Mail Address" section, re-type your email.
In the "Select" section, click on it. A drop down menu will appear.

It will look like this...

These are lists of secret questions for you to choose from and answer.

JAMB needs it in case you forget or want to change your password.

They will ask you. So select the one that you can remember.

In the "Secret Question Answer" section, type the answer to your chosen question.

In the "Confirm Secret Question Answer" section, re-type the answer to your chosen question.

The page should now be looking like this...

Next, click “Verify e-Mail”.

That will take you to the next page. It will look like this...

Click “ok” button at the bottom right. The page should now look like this...

Close it and go to your email.

Check your inbox for confirmation email with the sender name, “noreply@JAMB” and the title, “eMail Address Confirmation”.

If you don’t see it in your inbox, check your spam box.

In this lesson, I’ve used yahoo mail and here is how it looks in my inbox...

Other email services like Google mail (gmail) looks similar. So it doesn’t matter. They’re all the same thing.

Now open the message. Mine looks like this...

You will need to print this mail. If you use a mobile device and don't have a printer, go to a cyber cafe.

Just tell them that you want to print something from you mail.

They will charge you for only printing.

If you can't access a cybercafe, just copy the confirmation code in the mail and know your email.

Now click on the anchor text (the blue text with an underline) that says, “Click here to continue your Profile Creation” .

It will take you to another page that looks like this...

That’s your JAMB profile registration form.

You will notice that your email box is automatically filled.

Fill the remaining boxes and click the turquoise coloured “Sign Up” button at the bottom left.

Let’s go into details...

If you look at the page (the picture above) you will notice that the boxes are neatly divided into two columns – left and right.

You can start from any column but let’s start with the left.

These are all the boxes in the left...

In the “Surname” box, fill in your surname.

In the “First Name” section, fill in your official first name; That is, the name you use in all your documents.

In the “Middle Name” box, type fill in any of your other names.

In the “Select Gender...” box, click it and a drop down box will come out.

It will look like this...

Click on your gender.

In the “Select Date of Birth” section, select your “Day”, “Month” and “Year” of birth.

In the “Confirm Date of Birth” section, re-select your “Day” , “Month” and “Year” of birth.

That does it for the left column. Now let’s go to the right column. Here are all the boxes in it...

In the “Mobile No” box, type in your phone number.

The next box is “Select Nationality...” Here is a picture of it...

You will notice that the two boxes below don't have a name. The name will come out when you select your nationality.

Now click on the “Select Nationality...” box and a drop down menu will come out.

It will look like this...

If you’re a Nigerian, click “Nigerian” . If you’re not, click “Foreigner”. (In my example, I clicked “Nigerian” ).

Doing that will make the page reload. Wait for it.

After the reload, the next box (which initially had no name) gets activated. Its name will change to, “Select State of Origin...”

It will look like this...

Click it and a drop down showing the list of all states in Nigeria will appear.

It will look like this...

You can hold down (i.e. click and hold) the down arrow key (the black triangle shown in the picture above) to see other states.

Choose your state. In this example, I chose Plateau Sate.

That activates the next box, “Select Local Govt...” Here is a picture of it...

Open it and select your local government of origin.

The next box. “email address” is already filled automatically. So we go to the next box...

“Password” . Here you type in any password of your choice. It must be up to six (6) characters.

Also, your password is a secret. Don’t tell anyone. Anybody that has it can get access to your profile.

That takes us to the next box, “Re-type your Password” .

Here, you retype the password you chose.

It’s JAMB’s way of helping you avoid mistakes and correctly type the password you had in mind.

If the “password” and the “re-type password” box did not match, you will get this kind of notification...

Do the necessary corrections. Then click the “Sign Up” button...

If you’ve filled everything correctly, the site will take you to another page that looks like this...

Hello Nairalanders,

As i promises in this article http:///2mdTs4O

I have added more information to help you make the best decision for you. Here is a summary...

- Depending on expo or special center this year will be harder. JAMB will use live cameras (CCTV) in the hall.
- You can combine two results of the same exam from different years. But one sitting is better.
- You can choose up to 2 univesities this year

I will be posting more details in the group later today.

In case you missed the article, you can go here to read up on it... http://smoothadmission..com.ng/2017/03/jamb-date-finally-fixed.html

N48,000 to obtain JAMB form? Come on guy. What are you saying? Please read that story again.

Yes some cafe's are doing it as you described. But why don't you explain to your customers properly? Why make them believe that they've bought the JAMB form when they've really not. That's only where I see cafe's go wrong.

And what about those going all over the net deceiving people and giving them bank accounts to pay money into. Who will warn these students?

EducationHow To Avoid Scam And Confirm If JAMB Form Is Out by nonny001(op): 11:41am On Jan 26, 2017
That JAMB has NOT started selling forms has created room for scammers to thrive.

More JAMBites are falling victim.

Almost every day, JAMBites come to my cafe for JAMB form. When I tell them it’s NOT out, they tell me their friends have bought. On further investigation, they all turn out to be scam.

I’ve been educating them. But it’s getting tiring. So on Monday, I wrote an edu article on this. You can read it here... SmoothAdmission..Com

It clearly shows you what’s going on and how to protect yourself.

You will discover...

- Why some cafes are selling JAMB form and others are not
- How to spot and avoid scam
- How to know when the original form comes out

And much more...

So go ahead visit... SmoothAdmission..Com and avoid scam.

(NB: I would have copied and pasted the article here. But my devices has been acting up)

The saying that your destiny lies in your hand is not strange to you. Let me ask you, do you really know what those words means? Do you know how it works? How can you control your life, future and destiny? The answer is embedded in this adage which I'll explain shortly:

watch your thoughts because they'll become words
select your words because they'll become your actions
understand your actions because they'll become you habits
study your habit because they'll become your character
develop your character because they 'll become your destiny

It means that:

What ever life's experience or event you're thinking of, be it about your job, family, relationship social and private life, always be wary of the set of words you use because words are the code which your brain uses to tell your body what to do i.e your brain uses words to swing your body into action.

Let me explain better. A man whom when thinking of his life, tells himself that he cannot make it in life will never make it because he will always act in ways that will prevent him from making it.

Every action you take are caused by the set of words you've given to a particular thought. You need to understand your actions, so that you'll know where they're leading you to. Action which you perform continuously forms your habits.

Your habits are actions that you invariably and sometimes unconsciously take towards events or experiences. They are the softwares of your body which affects the outcome of every event in you life – successful or failure. That is why you need to study them in order to know whether they are structured to make you succeed or fail in a given event or situation.

The collection of your habits forms your character and the character which you possess is what takes you to your destiny.

From all these, you can see that you are where you are primarily because of the words which you use in your thoughts to quantify your experiences and events in your life.

You've also seen how your destiny lies in your hand. Hence, the fact that you're not living the life of your dreams is nobody's fault but you.

To every event in your life, think positive thoughts, use positive words to qualify them and you'll see yourself acting and reacting in the way that lead to a fulfilled life – your destiny.

Finally, don't ever forget that the power to live the life of your dream lies within you.

PoliticsChristians Only: How Boko Haram Is A Blessing by nonny001(op): 4:05pm On Oct 17, 2015
Please ignore that headline. I just needed your attention.

Boko Haram can NEVER be a blessing. It’s a curse: a big problem. But in every problem, there is an opportunity.

For Christianity, it is an opportunity to fulfill their ultimate mandate, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” – Matthew 28: 19 (KJV).

That is what this article is about: a Christian wake-up call.

“Islam is a religion of peace,” but it has WAR as its tool of conversion… and they’re so passionate about it. They’re even ready to die spreading it. WHAT ARE CHRISTIANS DOING?

Christians convert by preaching, teaching and explaining. That’s how we (Africans) got Christianity.

And the white missionaries – those who brought Christianity to us – they were passionate… so passionate that they were ready to die for it… remember Mary Slecor?

And with their coming came other good things: conscience, death of suppressive culture and tradition, respect for human dignity and life and much more.

The north needs Christianity too.

The only problem is; the white missionaries’ passion is dying in us… if not dead already.

In fact, we don’t need to take the same risk they took. And WHEN THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY.”

And the “WILL” is the will of the father, “He (the Lord) does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent” – 2Peter 3:9 (New Living Translation).

From this WILL comes the ultimate command, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” – Matthew 28: 19 (KJV).

And until we connect ourselves to this “WILL”, we are nothing but half-Christians.

And when I say we, I mean individual Christians and the church as a body.

Building a befitting place for the Lord is good and must be done. But it’s not the ULTIMATE. Spreading the gospel is. Desiring prosperity is NOT bad, but it’s only secondary.

When there is a will, the way will come: When there is passion, creativity and ingenuity will follow.

But how come NO Christian missionary around?

Everywhere I go (in the south), I see our northern brothers swelling in their numbers. May be they were chased from home.

How come no bible written in Hausa? Isn’t it supposed to be everywhere by now? How come I see nobody giving them the good news? How come I’m yet to hear of a church or denomination creatively ministering to them?

Jehovah witness are very skilled at home to home ministration. Very admirable. But what of our Hausa speaking brothers? Don’t they deserve salvation too?

I see many churches dish out fliers. Is there none for these new brethrens in our midst?

I’m yet to see a group with a “northern missionary ministry” – or its equivalent. Why?

These northerners in the south are potential agents of change. Give them the good news and they will take it back home. That region needs peace and the Christian community is partly responsible.

CAN should discuss this. It’s that serious.

Evidence is beginning to emerge that Nigeria’s socio-political space was actually pre-designed for disintegration by 2015.

This was how the equation was formulated.

Leading to the elections, divide the country between ethnic and religious line. This will create hatred and distrust among citizens – a perfect incubator for uncontrollable violence.

If GEJ wins, the north will boil and the SE and SS-erners will be the scape goat. This will be expected to be followed by a revenge mission in the SE and SS with the northerners being the victims.

If GMB wins, SS and SE will boil with northerners being the victims. This should be followed by a revenge mission in the north with SE and SS-erners being the victims.

As for SE, it will be the babble ground because the two contending political groups have a strong presence here. Here, nobody will be safe.

But that last minute call from the president diffused the bomb.

you wish the farmers were on nairaland to prove that GEJ has done well in agriculture? don they have children who can attest to it on their parents behalf? Abi the farmers na ghost without offsprings?

I am not totally convinced about the fertilizer claims since all that this government does is tell lies, however, even if it were true, fertilizers is a very, very small subset of a farming process. What about silos for storage? what about the markets? how about transporting the produce from inter lands to cities where they are needed? What about quality seedlings? How many times have you seen documentaries on TV telling farmers on the best ways of farming? How many times have you heard announcement telling people the weather projections for the year and advising farmers on when they should start planting because of rain expectationshuh Incase you do not know, without fertilizer you can have a good yield if your soil is naturally good, but without a good seedling your product will still be wack., My guy fertilizer distribution is not a magic wand.
Dis Anti-Jona people self. Una own strong o! See what you're saying. That shows that you've not been following what has been happening in the country. You said that "all that this government does is tell lies". So who are now the ones telling the truth? Hm! Let me think... Ok! Now i know: it's those people feeding you with half truth, abi?

Well it's not your fault. Where all you see in the dailies is boko-haram and sanusi NNPC scandal, how will you know the details of what GEJs govt. is doing in agriculture. And before you change the topic to $20 billion Scam. Let me just tell you. NNPC scam is a big lie o. NNPC independent audit has proven it o. I know the media will not let you know about that. So let me do you the favour, please see this article... http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/02/forensic-audit-report-no-money-missing-nnpc/

And back to our discussion...

You said he has not built silos. Well brother, in case you don't know, President Jonathan has been building silos. He launched the biggest silo in Africa just last year. Please read it up here... http://leadership.ng/business/382912/food-security-receives-boost-fg-launches-silo-complex (and it's in your best interest to read it).

You talk about transport, what are the trains for?

Thank God you agreed that he succeeded in agriculture. And in case you don't know, it's not only fertilizer. It's also seedlings. You want the Govt. to come to tv and start teaching farmers before you believe? Interesting! May b u should go become an Agricultural Extension Worker so that you can break records. Agric ext. Service on tv? Really laughable.

And one more thing, GEJ has been mechanizing the Nigerian agric industry. I know they won't bring it to the headline. So let me also do you the favour, go read it up here... http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/167288-jonathan-sets-aside-n50-bn-for-farm-mechanization.html

One at a time, How do I know most coy have not paid? Peer group discussion.

Number of registration does not translate into development. Let me burst your bubble, some of those registrations are hurriedly done to siphon money by politicians, by awarding fictitious contracts to themselves. The oil subsidy investigation revealed as much. Businesses have been complaining, but 2013/2014 were particularly bad years for company. December 2014 when the dollars left 160 to 200 crippled the others who were floating. The worst of that has not even been heard yet. For emphasis, similar to Abacha days honest businesses are not smiling.

You guys keep referring to Dangote as if the guy suddenly got rich in 2013. That has been making money even when GEJ was probable sourcing for materials for his MSC or PHD. Moreover, he is not an SME.
Peer group discussion! Well, that's a valid source (who i go ask na).

And ThankGod you agreed that 2014 has been a bad year for companies because of the falling Naira value. I hope you know why the value of Naira is falling. Because if you do, you will not make it an issue.

But the way it seems, it appears you don't know. So let me lecture you (Sowi if that sound hash, but we're all learning).

The value of Naira is falling because of the fall in oil price (imagine! from $110 to $48 ber barrel). And the value of a countries currency depends on the value of her foreign exchange earning. 95% of Nigeria's foreign exchange come from oil export. Now do the maths. Imagine you own an indomie business. you sell one pack for N110. All of a sudden, you start selling it for N48 (because of competition). How will you income look like?

So in that situation, what should GEJ do? Should he go and put a gun in the head of Nigeria's oil customers and ask them to still buy at $110 ber barrel? Men! That 1 is common sense na.

And Bro! I've been laughing at this part of your post "some of those registrations are hurriedly done to siphon money by politicians". Really! May be you should lecture us on how that work... And please be specific. No vague stuffs.

And for the Dangote gist: Yes, "he has been making money even when GEJ was probable sourcing for materials for his MSC or PHD"; but he has never invested this heavily in Nigeria's economy: Giant Farms, New Refineries, Minning Company, More cement factories, The biggest sugar refinery in Africa and the list goes on.

If GEJs economic policies can push that kind of man to make such commitment, then there must be something about GEJ managed economy. Mind you, all these giant factories will not be manned by rabbits and cows o. It will be manned by human beings. Nigerians. Graduates!

Nice one joor. People these days especially youth don't even have facts, they complain too much and becomes blind to seeing opporturnities. They tag every opporturnities created by the federal govt as a scam. Where are you facts to justify our argument that obj's regime did more employment dan gej. Let me start from here: 14 universities wherr established during GEJ, at least one of those universities has a working capacities of 750 direct staffs, not even d indirect staffs. What about the on-going NNPC recruitment which has already entered the interview stage. My fellow youth, I've nobody there, bt by the grace God I was shortlisted for the interview. Did any of you complaining here or comparing here applied for d FADAMA loan, YOU WIN and SURE-P? So painful because you just follow d multitude to comment because you just want to. What about the power sector, agricultural sector, today Nigeria is one of the exporter of cement, are they not people working in d cement or sugar factories. What about the automobile sector?

Get your fact... Information is power, what kills the nigerian youth is that they spent tireles time chating and not digging out information. There're more jobs now if only you can dig them out, nobody will bring any job to your door step. The world is al about choice, choose yours now!

God bless Nigeria!
My broda! Politicians and the Youths. They've been using religion and tribe to have their way with us. But now it seems not to be working again, they want to use blind-fold (aka propaganda) to turn us to zombie again o! And it's always the youths that are at the receiving end. And we never learn.

You mean he has made more noise about it on the media. Nothing really on ground to show development except what the government itself tells us, no blueprint for development, no real tangible improvement. the only area they seem to have done well is fertilizer distribution, even then I am taking their word for it and not from real farmers.

Hope you know that real farmers are in the villages not those portfolio farmers always attending one meeting or the other in Abuja.
You see! That's one thing i love about GEJ. He's not about settling those that can make the loudest noise. He's about taking an holistic approach to solving Nigeria's Numerous problems. How i wish those poor village farmers can be savvy enough to use the internet (and be in nairaland). I'm sure this discussion will be different.

By the way, how come he succeeded in fertilizer distribution but not in Agriculture. If you can successfully get fertilizers to real farmers, what do you think will naturally happen to their yield? Think about that. All that is required is just COMMON sense.

Registering biz names is not same as running businesses. 95% of business that start in Nigeria die a natural and unnatural death. Real business owners are complaining about this economy. It is strangling them. Ask independent business owners not too around the corridor of power. So apart from job creation business are dying faster than they would have. Incase you do not know, most private business have not still paid January salary, so go figure.
Yes, "Registering biz names is not same as running businesses". I agree! But do you agree that the rate of business registration in a country is a good measure of the number of new (legitimate) business that spring up? You said that most private business have not still paid January salary. How do you know?

Yes it's true! Real business owners are complaining about this economy - they've been complaining for a very very long time. But one thing they all agree is that under Jonathan, it is getting better.

Ok! Look at Dangote, the richest man in Africa. He's now investing in Nigeria like never before. He's investing in agriculture. He's working on building new refineries. He's among the 6 big investors that will start mining companies in 2015. If that kind of man can confidently put his money into Nigeria's economy, then who are you to say that the economy is not growing?

Why not go update your knowledge on the Nigerian economy before continuing this discussion with me. Let me make it easier for you. Visit this link... http://exploreanthonyobuegbe..com/2015/01/9-smart-ways-president-jonathan-is.html
