A Kentucky family's trip to a Disney resort
in central Florida became 'a nightmare'
recently thanks to a 'severe bedbug
infestation' at a hotel.
The Strebles had travelled 700 miles for a
family vacation when they discovered their
daughter was covered in insect bites.
When they lifted her mattress at the hotel,
they were horrified to find a swarm of the
little brown parasites, they say.
Her mom Christina Streble told WESH : 'The
doctor that saw our daughters said that this
was the worst case of bed bugs that he had
ever seen.'
Footage taken of her daughter's back and
arms show them covered in dime-sized red
welts.
'This has been a nightmare,' Streble added.
The resort where the family stayed has not
been named in reports, but a representative
from the Kissimmee hotel told WESH they
are looking into the allegations and that no
other guests had lodged such complaints.
