Hip hop star, Olamide looking dapper on suit on the cover of MyStreetz magazine's latest issue.

Sesan Adeniji, the publisher of MyStreetz magazine said about the new issue;

"With the way Nigerian music industry has continued to evolve, sometimes, one need to ask the question what if? What if, Fela hadn't let go of his tussle with Orlando Julius for the ownership of Highlife Jazz to discover Afro-beat? What if Sir Shina Peters had been content with the music genre he tussled for with Segun Adewale and he hadn't pioneered Afro Juju? What if prince Nico Mbarga hadn't sang "sweet mother" and Tu face never recorded "African Queen"? The answers are not far fetch. Nigerian music wouldn't have been widely recognized and respected as it is today without the record set by these brave hearts who took the road less traveled and refused to join the bandwagons.

We live in the industry where copycat syndrome are the order of the day and the few who dare to do something different are hardly encouraged from the onset except when the beat from the odds to breakthrough. We at the MyStreetz magazine have always stood out to report what is different and just like we once projected with 'Olamide's eyes on the rap throne' which was the first time he graced the cover of MyStreetz magazine. Musically his stock has risen ever since, so much that he became the first artist to grace the magazine's cover for the second time."

Last week, the governor of Rivers state, governor Rotimi Amechi, donated the sum of $100,000 (16million naira) to the ailing music producer, OJB Jezreel who needs the money for a kidney transplant in India. The money was transferred to his account on Friday, 5th of July.

Excited OJB has thanked governor
Amechi for saving his life.

"I really thank God for governor
Amechi's kind hearth. All I can say is
that God will fight his battles as he
saved my life. I also thank all Nigerians from all walks of life who heeded my appeal for funds to go for my kidney transplant. God bless everyone."

Twenty-two-year old Anyaoha Ezinne
Akudo has been crowned Miss
Nigeria 2013, the pageant held
yesterday at the Intercontinental
Hotel, Victoria Island.

Ezinne beats 20 other contestants to
clinch the title. As the winner, she
went home with the sum of 3million
naira, a brand new car, and a trip to
California.

Excited Ezinne, a graduate of Law
from the Abia state University said;

"I am so excited to have won. There
were many other pretty girls who
contested but I won. I want to thank
God for this victory."

Ezinne also won the award for miss
photogenic.

The event saw the attendance of
some big names like Jay Jay Okocha,
Dakore Egbusan Akande, Betty
Irabor, and many more.

He might be sick but that doesn't stop him from responding to any negative thing said against him, or anything to do with the 16million naira he's been raising for a kidney transplant.

Last week, Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim posted a message on her instagram page questioning the said amount (16million naira) that OJB is asking for concerning his kidney transplant in India. She said she runs a kidney problem foundation and she should know how much it cost to undergo such surgery. According to her, a kidney transplant will not cost anything more than 8million naira and wondered why OJB should ask for 16million naira.

However, the ailing music producer has responded to her in an interview he granted to Enconium Magazine, saying;

"The mistake she's making is that it depends on the hospital you are going to in India. She says she run a foundation, they might give her a rebate. The rebate itself is $55,000 (N8.5m), when you take out the $55,000, you will be left with $45,000 (N7.5m). What about the running cost of the procedure? You don't go to India only to come back and start asking for help again. Atleast I need some money to maintain myself for the next one year. So when you factor in all these costs, add ticket and lodging, you will appreciate what we are talking about."

Peter, Paul (P-square), and their elder brother Jude Engees Okoye yesterday donated the sum of 5million naira to the ailing music producer OJB Jezreel who need 16million naira for a kidney transplant in India. They personally presented the cheque to him during their visit at his residence in Surulere.

Joy Tongo, the groups agent in the US confirmed it via twitter.

Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo state has banned the use of commercial motorcycles and tricycles on major roads in five local government areas of the state.

Edo state government has threatened to destroy any commercial tricycle popularly known as 'Keke Napep' or motorcycle that disobey the order.

Oshiomhole said the decision was painful but it was for the overall security interest of the state, adding that the ban took effect from Sunday midnight.

In his words;


"I advice all bike riders to compel and keep off the road. Should any bike rider flout this order, he will be dealt with ruthlessly. The bike will be confiscated and destroyed."

"I care about your welfare but we are not about to replace motor bike with keke napep. PLEASE stay out of trouble"

It is not my wish to visit hardship to anyone, but it is my duty to provide security for the people of the state. Please respect this order. he added.

Jose Mourinho has signed a 4-year 40million-pound contract with Chelsea football club.

A senior Blues source quoted as saying "It's official Jose is a Chelsea man again!. Everyone is delighted he's coming back - the club, the players and the fans.

We are already looking forward to next season; we are sure it's going to be very exciting."

Next week, the Europa League Champions, Chelsea will be unveiling Jose Mourinho as their new manager in a blaze of publicity following Real Madrid's final game of the season against Osasuna this Saturday

Much is expected of Mourinho who won six trophies during his three seasons spell with Chelsea between 2004 to 2007.

Babcock university just released the school fees for the next session which some students think it's outrageous but can't protest for fear of expulsion or suspension.

Ridiculous! isn't it?

A Christian university that claimed to be a non-profit organisation. Anyway I blame it on the people that patronize them. There are Federal universities, state universities and even some private universities all over the country that are less expensive, but they chose this one.

How many accountants are paid more than N200,000 per month in this country? After paying 1million plus for a session in the university, you come out to be paid peanuts as salary, that's if you get a job.
