A second year doctors in UK earns an average of 45,pounds per hour, a second year pharmacist earns 24 pounds per hour on the average. Stop being dumb and face reality. The pharmacist, Lab attendant, called scientist and the nurse are not in the same league with Doctors.

It's obvious that you are just being mischievous and I won't like to join issues with some one who either outrightly is a liar or like public deception. What does a resident doctor earn in UK? We are not talking of consultants, medical officers or GP. My previous post has clarified it.

Nothing like equity. Doctors lay down their youth and all to practice for humanity. A thoroughly bleeped lab gal who cohabited through out her nondemanding 5years wants to be on the same scale as him. Mention a single sane country where doctors are one the same scale as pharmacist, nurses and lab Scientist. You have ur internet, use it. If u show me any advanced country with that model, then I will immediately switch sides. If not, shame on u and all Johesu members.

Check salaries of nurses, pharmacist, physiotherapist, lab scientist in US and Canada. Yes an attending (consultant) and medical officer earns more but NEVER an intern or resident doctor. They all earn more than interns and regs. Use your internet and stop spreading falsehood.

I wish u could digest the NMA position before posting this crap..
NMA is not against pay rise for anybody but ask that relativity be sacrosanct according to international best practice.. A doctor with several academic battering and fellowship struggle cannot be on same salary scale with a nurse or pharmacist.. forget the age and all, the quality of service isn't same irrespective of how old one has been in service. We must learn to respect professionalism in this country.
Johesu was formed to hang up against the doctors in the health sector because they feel with their strength they can arm twist the government.. Some of it's demands ate briddled with ego, jealousy and desire to reap where one didn't sow. The door is wide open for any who wishes to study medicine. No following short cut, go back to school and be accorded same status.

When you quote international best practice, I assume that you are either being mischievous or uninformed. In USA and Canada well known as standards for international best practice, an intern doctor or resident doctor (doctor in training) earns lower than a nurse, pharmacist and other health professionals. Yes, an attending (consultant) and general practitioner earns higher but NEVER an intern or resident doctor. So stop mis-quoting international best practice. Besides, medical practice in Nigeria is no where near local best practice let alone international best practice.
