In commemoration with the 57th Independent Day Celebration of Nigeria.I Have taken liberty not to speak ill of my Nationality, I have scrutinously come to understand and realise some certain misconceptions and perceptions people have towards Nigeria.. as long as you are Human, living within the terrain of Nigeria ,there's always these misconceptions and wrong perceptions about Nigeria flying here and there, which of course, little percentage could be realistic, why the larger part are often not, most people do have little or no knowledge about certain situation, immediately they get 2 to 3 views from people, then they move on to paint the whole scenario with a "sorry face look"Forgetting that Human thought, Mind and utterances are very much related with current Happening, what they imagine and visualise...in article,I will try has much as possible to lift away some of the misconceptions and too inappropriate thinking people have towards Nigeria..
•Not all politician/ those in Government misappropriate funds
From all odds, this is number one misconception that spring up on people mind, whenever election period is near,Most people THINK Those in office misappropriate funds to themselves rather than doing the Needful, it could be true to very large extent, but transparent government holders are very much in Nigeria..
• Not all Nigerians go abroad for greener pasture..
Whenever you ask a fellow "where are off to??" then he/she response "UK, USA, Germany, Italy etc"what comes to respondent mind is that "this guy/bae won't come back again" mother land by sound sultan has justify this thinking, but the truth is that, things have changed, the misconception is getting a wane, most people travel abroad for schooling, shopping and vacation etc..
•Not all those in uniform are corrupt..
Seeing any law enforcement agencies staff carrying out their duty, what immediately comes to most people mind, just like a whatsapp notification message is "this uniform people are looking for weekend Money, then, if it's during festive period, the weekend changes to "Christmas, sallah, New year Money"" This could be true, but there's always a judas /group of judas's in a very disciples.. the truth is that are still people of high integrity in the force, if there isn't, then will won't have gotten better by now..
•Not all opportunities come with influence...
With the current situation in Nigeria [inflation], which we are already getting out of, Most people believe is that "Nothing is this country goes /comes on merit, you have to know someone or someone knows you, before you can secure any opportunity, even to get a food and souvenir in a party" This is not always true, sometimes, your proficiency thus speaks for you, people still get hold of many opportunities with their dexterity, in fact, what you at good at creates connection for you..
•Not all Nigerian are tribalistic when it comes to decision and selection making..
•Nigeria not up to standard
Nigeria is working towards attaining greater Achievement, "not up to standard" is fixing itself to the appropriate comparism, in terms of breeding "intellectual personality ", Nigeria is getting her standard in the appropriate comparism.... innovation and creativity isn't exempted, it might be at slow pace, but we are getting along..

Poems For ReviewMonday Morning Syndrome With Mi Advert Lines!! by NosaH(op): 10:16pm On Sep 24, 2017
You woke up!!
You check the wall, it 7am already!!
You dash to the bathroom, you pick up your tooth brush!, you bath, you zoom to the room
You pick up a dress,
You stole one of your siblings perfume!, you swore it!
you smile"well done"
You took a bike to the bus terminal!!
You saw a large number of people,"you waooo"
The thought of uber came to your mind..but "ko si owo"!!
You struggle to get a bus!
finally you got one,
"your wallet and phone almost developed legs"
But, you were smarter!
You got to your office!!
You did the usual 9-5
You struggle to get a bus home
This time around , you were smarter!!
You experience the lagos traffic!
You got a drink and sausage roll.
Your combine!!
You saw the road side seller running faster than usmain bolt "you smile, they hustle, they grind"
You feel the lagos traffic free breeze
You shine your teeth!
you feel the lagos commercial bus drivers forming the fifth line, you smile
You love their skill
You got to your bus top,
you heard your favourite song,
you "waoo"
You feel the lyrics, rhyme and beat
You almost shoki, but you didn't Dab!
You can't help, but Sing along in your mind!!
Well down chairman!!,Do your thing!!

The prayer of every serious undergraduate is not to experience the "ASUU strike".. but sometimes, some happenings are beyond your imagination and your thinking, your might be wrong or right, your plans might not go as you draw them out..
It another season of strike. It usually comes up every 4/5 years, it becoming a ritual, every undergraduate find it difficult to understand the misery behind this, if not all undergraduate at least, those in public universities will find it difficult to decipher... meeting upon meetings, consideration upon considerations. But, the truth is that union is stronger than the Government..
Education has become a negotiation in this part of the world, there's always an x to the number of years you will spend in school, the "x" is always on unknown, maybe that one of the main reason why some Nigerians go abroad to study .. some standard schools in diaspora spend less than 4 years at undergraduate level..
Some universities in Nigeria are known to be strike driven, in fact an academic session isn't completed without going on strike, that just the tradition, if there's isn't national strike, internal strike will come up, academic calendar is always lagging behind.. in fact, for those that will gain admission in 2017, will resume around June 2018 "six months wasted!!","for some schools". university aspirants are just as confused as "the lizard nodding his head, for the things unknown to other creatures"
The compulsory "stay at home" has left undergraduate in thought of "had I known". this year ASUU festivity has left students into various activities ,some are into trade, business and internship etc some even went has far as clinching to their laptops just to get some pay before ASUU suspends their festivity... "an idle hand/mind is the devil's workshop" minutes running into hours, hours running into days, days running into weeks, weeks into rounding into months, but no traces of strike suspension, students are left with the festivity, some have become a burden in the House, some are having issues with "who is washing plate this week" who is "fetching watch this week"..Academic calendar is finding it way into summer vacation, This is the period where funny things will beginning to Happen!!

Sometimes, it's Good to prepare for the unknown Adventure, has opportunity comes un-expected so those un rehearsal and random Questions comes from any angle, most especially from the current happenings and what people can actually relate to..
The comedy industry is getting more recognition because of it Comedy skirt, I guess those at the industry has understood the "Human behavioural concept and Emotional intelligence" most Nigerians spend their leisure watching comedy skirt, most especially the "Road side comedy skirt"
So many people can actually relate to the Road side comedy skirt because of the it random questions which sometimes attract a reward ... although, there are funny and can serve as a memorable event, from the course of watching the video, it actually cracks you up and subconsciously prepares your mind for Your "impromptu days".. some of the Questions are what you and I can relate to, most especially the current happenings, as matter of fact, people get Questions such as "what the capital of Nigeria, How many states do we have in Nigeria" etc and you still get funny Answers, answers that are far from the Questions, and of course there are always funny and weird!!!
The unexpected those happens, that is why it best for everyone to prepare his/her mind for whatever questioning, even if you are not familiar with the questions, there are always ways you can turn things around, "you can't know and learn everything", but it will be cool and nice if you can learn has much as possible ,"failure is the brother of had I known"..
Read and get knowledge from whatever you can find within you, varying from politics, journals, entertainment brouhaha, psychology, medicine, etc a CEO once said "read like a termite , so whenever you argue your cup won't be predominately half but Full!!"

EducationYou Can Always Do Something Different by NosaH(op): 2:17pm On Aug 27, 2017
Nugget of the week!!
Sometimes, some popular saying could be "limiting words" ,in this part of the world, we intend to follow some proverbial words, and forget the wisdom behind them .. some proverbial words Could serve as words of wisdom and instructional quote, and some could be misconstrued, and by so doing we get wrong "literal and proverbial meaning"...
Some weeks back, I was a home observing my leisure, then I heard a song on the radio, it was actually done by some of the fast hiphop rising musicians, the song has it chorus as"wetin you wan do, wey dem never do before?" which has it literary meaning as "what you think of doing, that hasn't be done before?"..
"What you want to do, that has never be done before!!" is one of the 1001 limiting words, people alter these whenever things don't go as planned, but the truth is that some existing innovation or ideas can be modified&be re engineered and make the same idea DIFFERENT..
Some years back, people didn't pay a listening hear to the entertainment industry in Nigeria, comedy industry to precise, because somethings hasn't be done from the norms!! But now people pay millions to see a show! In fact, wole arole and Kennyblac are one of the guys making it Big in the industry, because of their differential creativity and idea "prophetic comedian and "music comedian" has that ever happened in history of Entertainment Industry??
Moving from the show bis, What about Ben carson?.. He did what hasn't be done in Medical profession, "the first neuron surgeon to lead a team of doctors, to seperate a set of con joined twin in the Head successfully" even if that has be done, which I doubt, But isn't as pronounced as that of the team of Carson!!"
Moving down to own political terrain, Babtunde Raji fashola, who is a lawyer by profession, became SAN" I know most know what it takes to be a Senior Advocate of Nigeria",He became a Governor for 8 years!!! and was later nominated for political appointments [Minister] and of course he became "Minister of three portfolios" I doubt if that has be achieved!!
Some many people have attained Reputable and an Enviable feat, position.. most went as far as breaking the jinx... some popular saying can go as far as limiting your potentials, skill and creativity, if not true then, we won't be having Record Breakers

CrimeDaily Securities Tips by NosaH(op): 10:45pm On Aug 15, 2017
Kidnapping and hacking are one of the problems Nigerians are currently facing, with the high rate of poverty and inflation Kidnapping and hacking has been on increase size, in fact, it has increased in a geometric form...the securities agencies are really trying their possible best, some things still needs to be done individually.. in this article i will be discussing some securities tips, everyone should look into and be cautious of ..
1.Never engage in lengthy phone discussion on the Road..
2. Always follow your instinct, whenever you want to enter a bus
3.for those driving, make sure you pay attention to the car behind, beside and ahead of when driving, if you notice any funny movement, change your movement!!
4.give your child/ward a code or password, whenever a strange what to pick them from school or anywhere, the strange should provide the code before they can be released
5. Never use public WiFi for sensitive transactions most especially financial transactions "this one of the things I learn during my top programming classes "
6. Always endeavour to change your routine whether you are off to anywhere, most especially your office or school..
7. If possible don't discuss any financial transaction in the bus!!
8. If possible, add special characters to your social media password {&,%,} etc
9.Always tell someone where you are off to
10.Always move with your id ie. official I'd, school I'd even community id
11.Never go out immediately your generator goes off, try and check your surrounding before moving out from your doorstep.
12 let your social media password be dynamic, your fb password should be different form your yahoomail password, some hackers are sensitive when it comes to encrypting
13 don't open a link you are not sure, hackers are behavioural when it comes to thinking, immediately you open an hyperlink most especially on fb, you account gets controlled by another individual..
I hope you find these helpful, don't forget be security cautious..

@Fela40

Thank you very much for the piece of advice. i currently want to learn programming in a centre but i've issue with the courses available because i was told to choose only a course amongst ; c/c++ ,java, python and VB.net programming but i'm a bit perplexed 'cause i don't know which is more lucrative and produce better options in the future. help me out!

if you have knowledge in programming too, you can as well comment.
Delving into programming totally deals with passion and enthusiasm, if you get goo knowledge of programming or coding, you have to be analytical and logical in your reasoning and to some point you have to be good in math, at least an average math person, moving to programming right?,what ur current course of study?,did you do a basic programming course in school?, these are some of the questions you need to answer, you area of specialisation, should be ur research work!!

Nugget of the week!!
The world we are is currently and rapidly changing, somethings will sooner or later become extinct, which simply means they won't be effective and useful at it were before..
The world is changing so those the people.. some years back, approximately a decade ago, if am not mistaken, Cooking Gas wasn't has known as it's now, even if it was, there was a low patronage.. then, kerosene, firewood and charcoal were the ones doing the Needful when it comes to cooking in every Household if no where but Nigeria , I know most people won't shy away from the Truth..
But now thing have changed for Good, the likes of firewood, charcoal and kerosene are rapidly and slowing becoming obsolete, Cooking Gas has innocently replaced them all, even the Road side ie Food, Ankara and puf puf sellers aren't exempted from the use of Cooking Gas.. in fact, 3 out 5 roadside food sellers are perfect statistics for justification..
What am I saying in essence, things will come and go, but the most important of all is the "usefulness and fulfilment of it purpose" for the time been, the truth is that popular " Cooking Gas" will join the league of firewood and charcoal sooner or later..
So those we(Human being) a Generation was existing before ours, definitely Another Generation will exist after ours, the most important thing is that what are Going to be known for?, Achievement, impact and success will they be included in your Autobiography??, will there be traces of Great difference , this Question is for all "will there be smile on people face whenever you are called or Remembered ?" just like the firewood, charcoal and kerosene. Food for thought!!...

LiteratureNugget Of The Wewk!! by NosaH(op): 8:29pm On Aug 06, 2017
It's actually true that, everything that happens has "two side of coin", the side that looks more appalling and interesting, then the other side, the "not so good",and something they Sound or look weird!! ..
The not so Good side of the coin, where some set of individuals are interested to trade on, the side that welcomes all sort of criticism, bronx cheer, and denunciation give it any word, it as the synonym as "verbal disapproval".. of course, everything good is open to criticism
Criticism has it own hemisphere, the positive critic and the negative critic, of course people are the critics.. the positive critics are tend to understand the psychological term "Behavioural dynamism and Behavioural Momentum " so to speak, these models has been proven to be approved over the years,my thought criticism should "serve as a follow up measure for building and re banding the real you, discouraging your talent, skill, potential and your strength" Although, it challenges your idea, ability or character and most times it has negative effect on your self esteem and confidence!
As every situation can be managed, so those criticism, it comes from people and definitely it can be managed by people, provided the Individual understands the dynamism in human behaviour, Emotional intelligence explains it all " (EI) is the capability of individuals to recognize their own and other people's emotions, discern between different feelings and label them appropriately, use emotional information to guide thinking and behaviour, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one's goal(s)" Daniel Goleman
So,it's normal to get an objection to whatever you've set your mind to do, there's always a little form of disapproval by people, environment, and life, it just one of the ways of testing you, whether or not your "Decision can be best for you".Criticism and your Dreams will always stand side by side with your Fears, which ever that pays off is your "choice"

Yea Yea, I meet d cut-off for actuary science, but am not actually d best student in mathematics, am more of an analytical person, best inclined to social sciences. That's why I went for Psychology earlier, but based on last year's cutoff, all other social science courses has cutoffs higher than 61.8%. Based on my points & qualification, I seem to only have options of Actuary Science or Educational Foundatio
ns, provided the cutoff remain as last year's.
OK, I think I get ut now!! .. what is ur aggregate point, are u also willingly to delve more into maths, if you are given an admission to study actuarial science!! u still need to weigh the risk!!!

61.8% I actually choose Psychology but based on last year's cutoff am not up to the point needed. That's why am considering other courses
OKs, have u checked last cut off point for actuarial science you're aspiring for?, have you also try to understand what "being actuary" entails, it's math inclined, the psychology, was actually a very good course, wit more of critical thinking and all that, but actuarial science is mathematical inclined, and have you also evaluate the possible risks of being admitted, what I meant by that is "have you checked, if you get in through merit list with your catchment and all that??"

No matter how funny or unpleasant a situation is, there's always something to learn from it, most especially from the unpleasant ones , the truth is that we often don't pay attention to some critical things..
Have come to realise that we(Human Being) tend to get disappointed when we get a Negative Feedback, maybe because some level of connection wasn't known, or perhaps, it came Natural,it still boils down to individual, maybe because we pay less attention to the critical things or we over look them as "less important" things that can fashion out best solution to the problems..
No Doubt, the society we live in now has been institutionalised in way that almost every opportunity and chances can be gotten through "Human connection" or the popular phrase we can actually relate to "long leg"...even to get a food and souvenir in a party!!, No one can be blamed for this, that just the way the society works now, it's either you know someone, or someone knows you..
The truth is that we forget and less pay attention to the next opportunity, when we get a negative feedback from the initial plan, if plan A doesn't work, of course there's always a plan B, that is full of opportunities and chances, only if we give it an holistic thought, The main reason why we have BRT in lagos state today is because, there was a failure in "danfo" transportation system, so those life, the initial Plan might not be the Best!!!
