Unfaized: Omo I removed my lnb from my dstv dish and hosted the ODU there. I tried it indoors but the reception was terrible even with that install helper app.
On the current location outdoors signal says 'excellent' with complete circle but as we all know, Airtel is still Airtel regardless of what your signal says. Na only 5G I no get here. I no get 5G too. You don't have to have excellent signal. Initially I was OK with medium signal. The thing improved over time. I used band 7 for tracking as the other bands have good signal. Na band 7 I focused on. |

I also tried the apn thing but nothing worked. I don't remember if I did the 'internet' only apn option sha.
Na when next network bad & I get strength to carry ladder I go try again. Oh, you installed outside. Una dey try o. Me wey dey commot the sim almost everyday. I no fit mount outside. I think you might make do with just the x25pro by the time you're able to get it working like Peter and fuckboys(bro probably needs to retire this handle ). It should work out of the box, but even me was surprised to see it misbehave recently. Maybe you need to spend 10k to tweak it but I'm sure that's not necessary. |

Unfaized: So what conditions are the 4G option working with? Try all the Airtel Access Point Names (APNs). Try them while having network mode on Auto. Did you see 4G and 4G+ signal when you were trying? In my case, when I chose 'internet' as the APN, there's only 3G and it works. But that's not what I wanted, so I tried other APNs. Did 3G work for you? |

ositadima1: You are now glamorizing borrowing and making loans sound attractive. The moment people get burned, and it is almost certain that some will, you will find a way to distance yourself from it, and your supporters will still show up to defend you.
Let people make their own choices. Some may find success in speculation, others in trading, while the more risk-averse ones may prefer fundamental investing.
I am all about freedom of choice.
Pa Emma has always stated conditions for borrowing and offsetting the loans. If one meets those conditions, it's very unlikely to run into troubles. I know you know that but... |

Gshems: Airtel Don turn people to tweakers and network modifier Since inception of this ODU, na so so tweaking we dey do. Meanwhile, my travails with X25pro is purely for science. My ZTE G5F is always active. If it's not working, then Airtel is the problem. |

NSEstudent: I tried using the ODU sim yesterday in the newly Paragon tweaked X25pro. It worked and I left it for the whole day. The experience was not bad at all.
Today, however, I returned and inserted the sim from my mifi into the x25pro and the thing was proving stubborn, refused to work. It was shocking. I tweaked the APN, used Auto, nothing worked. I even changed the IMEI a few times just to play with that feature. E no still work. I put the sim in both my small MIFIs (M30 and Navtech), it worked.
Well, it did manage to work on the X25pro when I changed the APN to just 'internet' and set the network mode to 3G only. I figured network (4G bands and cells) was not strong. The 3G only wasn't useful enough so I resorted to putting it back to my trusted G5F and that one has some functional LTE Bands.
Wondering what just happened. I have tried putting the sim in the X25pro a few times after the ordeal and same thing is happening. I will assume it's temporary. After playing around with the APN, 4G now works in the X25pro. If the network mode is Auto and you use only 'internet' as the APN, the router works but on 3G only. Turns out APN is critical to it. But it didn't give these issues since I have been using it; not even the base X25 gave this APN issue. Whenever it works, the connection is reasonably stable though.

99thEnemy: Try tweaking and your experience may not remain the same. If it's not broken, don't fix it. He has good experience currently, so no need. I have also tweaked in the past but have since left all bands and cells unlocked. I did an elaborate explanation of why I made that decision here. |

Agbalowomeri: Whether you talk or you no talk nothing will change. I have a friend to whom I have preach stock market investment for more than 10 years. He refused to invest because he believed that my "doings" cannot be from stocks. Fast forward to early last year he contacted me that someone asked him to "invest in PCEX". I shouted make he no go there. He went there secretly and the rest is history Similar thing to this happened in my circle. Sometime 2022 or earlier, someone I respect, who values my opinion (or so I thought) asked me if he should invest in Chmall (might be wrong name). He said his younger sister introduced it to him and said she'd refund him if it ever went south. She showed him stuff she bought from proceeds so far. He also said Rev. Fathers and Village heads had introduced Chmall to him. I got the link, visited the site and told him not to invest even if Jesus came from heaven and gave him assurances. I didn't say that literally but that's the best explanation of what I told him. He agreed with me. Long story short, he invested N5m and obviously lost it. So talk or not, people do what they want. |

fuckboys: no I haven't used the Huawei yet and I'm not interested in anything ODU anymore, it's too bulky for my liking.
And Airtel isn't good in my area, no 5g and I get just 4 of 5 bars of reception on the 4g on x25pro. I wanted to cry while using the ODU in my location, but the x25pro was reliable, stable and consistent with network reception. Well, it might be that you got defective ODUs. If not, I don't get why X25pro performs better than premium modern devices like the ODUs in your place. |

fuckboys: you’re joining which league? You just went from frying pan to fire.
Give yourself 3weeks you’d still go back and dust your x25 router back.
Would have been better if you had the X25pro router. I dumped 2 of my odu. My X25pro is the most reliable router I’ve ever owned. And it has a longer WiFi range than the ODUs
I’m always surprised when I’m hearing about downtime in this place cos I hardly ever experience it. Is any of those ODUs you dumped the Huawei version? That's the only one I haven't tried. Meanwhile, I would like to say that Airtel is good in your location. You know say me self don follow get X25pro. The signal reception of ZTE G5F is unmatched yet. |

99thEnemy: I tested all the Bands and this was the result within a particular period:
Band 7 1.59Mbps download 8.55 Mbps upload
3 22.7 28.8
1 2.09 28.5
8 0.03 0.08 Okay. You're in luck with band 3. When you leave all the bands on though, does the router not default to band 3 and therefore give you the readings from your band 3 result? You can lock to band 3 but remember to go through the bands again if you have a problem in the future. |

Unfaized: That's the default router it comes with on this package. At 50Mbps I don't think a Wifi 6 router will make any difference. They are using it to cut cost. It's probably the cheapest ZTE device that can work as the IDU. On speeds and considering the sub limitations, there will be no difference. Some sources sha do say that Wi-Fi 6 consumes less battery and is more efficient all round. I'm lucky to have ZTE MC801A, which is Wi-Fi 6 and compatible with the ZTE ODU. It's currently my IDU. |

Basic economics is that shareholders including yourself are owners of the company, liable to the number of shares of the company you own. In the event of bankruptcy, you lose all your ownership also known as shares of the company. |

sauceEEP: It's amusing how I was grumbling about Airtel's ODU service, yet here I am, back in its embrace. I recently hopped on the MTN fibreX bandwagon, and for a glorious two weeks, everything ran like a dream. But then, just as I was settling in, the LOS indicator decided to betray me, blinking red and leaving me in complete internet darkness. I dialed 217 relentlessly for a week, only to hear the same promise of restoration. Now, as we enter week four and I'm still in the digital void, I’ve dusted off my old ODU and re-subscribed without hesitation! |

pappilo: I need some help. I am sorting out my late dad's estate. I recently requested a statement of shareholding and I am working on getting dividends that havent been paid e.g. GT Bank
Yesterday 8 May, a payment of N540,000 was received with ref: Custodian Div 37. I have read that Custodian made a dividend payment of N2.50/share on 8 May. The problem is I dont have Custodian as one the shareholding on my statement from the broker.
How do I go about sorting this out. I am going to speak to the broker on Monday but just wondering if anyone has a possible explanation of what is going on? You should instruct your broker to do global search for you. That will search for all shares held with that name at all houses. They'd do it at a price. |
