Even if this goes as planned the 10th trade will give you #512m. The question becomes how many years? I think I will start this by next year using #10m that will be invested in Not more than 4 good stocks per time to see how long I will reach #1bn with it.
That's the 9th trade grin

Does unlocking the X25 pro give one access to use the router as a Wi-Fi extender? Only reason I’m considering to unlock mine
I have no idea. What I have is the almost dumb X25, the base model with no root menu.

I have someone willing to sell black X25pro at 40k. Perhaps I should give it a try, for science.

No. Not necessarily.

Enter a trade and exit at 100%, entering another with the doubled capital. The goal is to double the capital each trade.

I have taken my over 100% profit from NB long time ago. Moved my loot to Aradel and took another over 100% profit.

Now positioning (averaging up) in Tantalizers. grin

Most of the stocks I invest in are not stock recommendations from this thread but I still value those recommendations dearly for reasons best known to me.
Be like I go silently join this 100% per trade thing, deliberately starting with N1m I'm not using make I see if e go turn N1b on the 10th trade grin.

Looks achievable.

But na when e reach those 8th to 10th trade e go really hard.

Github website worked but downloads from it were blocked. Thankfully things are getting better.

Also, did anyone else on experience up to 370mbps speeds continuously last week?
On the 50mbs sub? Very unlikely. I didn't check speed tests though but the network was nothing spectacular. It just got better a little.

Mankind2024:
The U.S. market requires utmost patience. It often does not respect technical analysis (TA) or even fundamentals (FA) in the short term, as prices are largely driven by economic news and sentiment. A company can report massive profits and still get battered by Wall Street reactions. Likewise, a company may perform strongly on fundamentals but suffer simply because it is not doing well in the Chinese market—just ask Tesla, Nvidia, and Apple.

In the U.S. market, I built my portfolio around strong index funds so that even if I leave it untouched for five years without adding new investments, it can rebalance itself. At the same time, the app I use makes it possible to group different stocks together and invest in them simultaneously. This is called a “pie.” If I invest $2,000, the pie automatically distributes the funds across the constituent companies based on the allocation I set.

Back home on the NGX, we have fewer than 160 listed companies. Within sectors, there are long-standing rivalries, and companies often move in line with similar fundamentals. All you need to do is select the companies that match your long-term goals and remain consistent. Ignore the heavy promotion around stocks like Royalex, Japaul, Omatek, and others in that category.

You can also consider some frontier companies that are not currently in the spotlight but have strong long-term potential. Above all, management statements often provide useful hints about the direction a company is heading.
Thank you very much.

I would have liked specific answers but your answers are quite insightful and would be useful to me going forward. I appreciate it.

In the Investment Marathon, Crossing a Milestone is a Thing of Joy.
I know many members of this forum would love to celebrate hitting their own milestones. For me, it’s really no big deal. If I had not read widely and learned from the experiences of successful investors, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
This is a faceless forum and no one knows me personally, but I feel indebted if I don’t share the secret that propelled my NGX portfolio to 10-figure paper assets.
First, my deepest appreciation goes to the Almighty God. I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to the Berkshire Hathaway legends — the late Charlie Munger and Warren Buffett. I have studied them so deeply that I can recite many of their guiding principles verbatim.
The first major battle I won in this marathon journey was defeating self-sabotage.
The reason many retail investors struggle to reach meaningful milestones is self-sabotage, combined with over-reliance on rumours, greed, and fear. I remember how, in the early days, I once blamed my broker for recommending poorly performing stocks which later return 10X. In anger, I sold off everything. Those were the days when you had to fill physical forms and email them to your broker before any transaction could go through.
Most of the time, I didn’t even know what I wanted. I was just chasing the crowd with zero fundamental knowledge — pure self-help mixed with self-sabotage.
Fast forward a few years, I came across an online website that allowed users to download free investing eBooks. I believe I was the first person to share the link in this forum back in 2015/16 (the site seems to be malfunctioning these days www.pdfdrive.net).
The moment I started applying the core principles of Berkshire Hathaway as taught by Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger, everything began to change. The light of prosperity came from three simple rules: Spend less, save more, and invest consistently — then allow the power of compounding to do the heavy lifting.
I stopped interfering with my portfolio. That discipline alone turned an investment of ₦1,000,000 into over ₦30,000,000.
Before I saw this light, I was a fierce critic of President Jonathan. I blamed him for almost everything wrong in my life. Today, I can’t even remember the various monikers I used to call him back then. I now understand fully that the government is not the primary reason most people fail to succeed.
The day I realised that abundant wealth begins in the mind, I started thinking and acting differently.
It is indeed a sweet milestone — especially in a nation where over 90% of citizens cannot boast of ₦100 million in liquid assets. Here I am today, saying with gratitude: Ebenezeri! The Lord has done it for me.
Another powerful lesson I learned from the Berkshire Hathaway legends is this:
If you cannot watch your portfolio lose 50% during a bear market or downturn and still stay invested, then you have no business in the stock market.
During the recent Strait of Hormuz tensions, my NYSE portfolio was badly battered. At the lowest point, I had an unrealised loss of $28,000. But I did nothing. I remained fully invested. Today, that unrealised loss has completely reversed into an unrealised gain of over $32,000.
If I had panicked and sold at the bottom, I would be regretting it today. Instead, I’m filled with gratitude to God for the privilege of building a 10-figure, highly liquid portfolio on the NGX.
This is my testimony, shared to motivate every aspiring member of the N1B Gang portfolio. Keep learning, stay disciplined, defeat self-sabotage, and let compounding work for you. Volatility is the price you must pay for the gift of compounding.
You too can do it and get there.

"Feel free to ask me any questions. I'd be happy to answer them, but please do not ask for my contact information."
Thanks for sharing and the opportunity to ask questions.

1. What do you use to determine the stocks you buy? I suppose it's FA metrics, what specific metrics?
2. Do you use the same metrics across NGX and the US market?
3. Do you pay strict attention to macroeconomic factors?
4. When do you exit your positions and why?

The guy with the super admin has a more recent version than mine. And I use root also to login.
Is there anything though, that you are not able to do with yours? I think if it works with MTNN and Airtel broadband subs, you're good.

Apparently the guy's name is Paragon. You might want to Google the name. They said he's on YouTube, so you have a head start.

And i also did some digging on the G5FA aka G5 plus and the chip inside is zte inhouse chip S1 5G chip based on release 16 what is striking is the claimed transmit power of upto 26dbm for n41 and n78 to stabilise signal even when obstacles exists since I bricked mine those with G5FA does this claim translate to real world usage coz i know some of u have the zlt and Huawei and ZTE so in comparison how's the signal stability and strength?
G5F is what I use and the signal beats both X17M and X25 that I have.

I tried X17M and G5F at the same location but the difference is like night and day.

That is just signal though. The performance is as per Airtel's mood at any given time.

Okay. The router is relatively portable. Although, to me, portable means being able to carry it in my pocket or very small bag because I am always on the move. If the router works with your ODU sim as they say, enjoy. At least it's a reprieve from the ordeal you have had recently.

This is my third month on this issue. The 4g smart box I recently bought confirmed the madness of Airtel network to me. The Smart box came with 100gb. I used all of them with the ODU. Once you insert the ODU SIM it will not pick 4g or 5g but on 3g always. The moment you put the the 4g smart box sim, it will start blazing on 4g+.
In conclusion, Airtel is mad.
The ODU SIM is working perfectly well on the 4g smart box and I am enjoying my subscription.
Which Smartbox is that? The hertz 6 or the Android TV box?

That is what I am using. I tried them again by inserting the ODU sim in the ODU device but it worked for few minutes and stopped. I have to take it back to the 4g smart router and continue my browsing.
Airtel knows what they are doing.
The same ODU device is working fine with ordinary SIM.
Some of the problems folks describe here are unfathomable. It would have been funny if it's not true. Sometimes I'm tempted to ask if you check the settings in the ODU to ensure nothing is untoward but I won't ask it; I assume everyone on this thread should know how to check APNs and stuff.

So I will pin it on Airtel. Weird but still...

These few days I have streamed seamlessly, including United - Leeds tonight with no problems.

I think x25pro should be amongst the first version that Airtel released when they unveiled their 5g unlimited plans around 2023. I got mine then. Since then, they've released many other versions
They were selling X25 when MTN was selling ZTE MC801A. MTN also joined in the sale of X25.

Tozed Kangwei then made a pro version of the device. X25 was the base model.

Airtel actually fazed out the x25 pro and replaced it with X25. The pro is very difficult to find now, even if you get the pro now it's sold above 100k plus.
No. They sold X25 first, then phased it out and started selling X25 pro.

Now they are not selling X25 but X25 Max 2, which I believe should be better than the previous versions.

X25 pro can be gotten from fairly used markets on social media like Facebook. One just has to trade carefully and through the right channels.

Some people have WhatsApp groups where folks sell pre-owned items for various reasons and at various prices. Some of the sellers have no knowledge of the intrinsic values of the items they are selling while others overrate the items they are selling.

That's sad sha. I think it is even better to have a universal router than purchasing this ISP-locked gadgets.

I believe normal sims should work in the universal router if one subscribes for router plans, right?
You cannot sub router plans in normal sims.

Purchasing a universal router is good but you need to confirm it can work with router plans. Perhaps your best bet is to buy X30 from wahab since it is touted as being easy to manipulate, like changing the IMEI to desired something that is sure to work with your current sub.

Most universal routers, out of the box, will only work with normal sim subs and not broadband subs. You can still buy X25 pro and have it tweaked to work with router plans. Just do your due diligence before buying any of them.
